We have also hired one of the instructors to come into our home as a babysitter on a number of occasions. I can't say enough good things about the variety of classes, the great facility that they operate and the organizations itself. And these kids are unbelievably talented- they're headed to state again this year after winning state the last two years. The only thing that I don't like is that they have all of the adorable little leotards in the waiting area and I get suckered into buying one every couple of weeks. They maybe need to make some ugly ones so my girls don't think that they 'need just one more!' :)

We went and experienced the Lagoon on the 3rd of July which is when TI was doing their fireworks and the hotel was completely sold out, so it was certainly busy with everyone decked out in their red, white and blue. We changed in our room as we had read there is no locker room and the lockers are paid lockers (confirmed that). My husband was excited about the swim up bar so we headed to the adults only section which is really amazing when there are a lot of kids. To get into the lagoon as a hotel guest, we needed our IDs so they could match us to our room and give us our wristbands. After you go sign waivers on ipads right around the corner. This got a little congested as there was a mix of technology users and all the Ipads were on a table and everyone stood at the table. They had free towels to use which was really appreciated, they are not big by any means but towels provided is fantastic. We dropped our coverups and shoes in a corner in the adult section which is what most people appeared to do. We spent the majority of the time in the swim up bar. The water was very comfortable. They had a assortment of canned drinks and 2 cocktails that were on draft (strawberry margs and blue razz lemonade). No mixed drinks or anything else. There was only 1 bartender working plus a bar back and she was getting worked for sure. When we were closing out 2 others were coming in. They only take cards and you can not charge to your room which seemed to create a lot of confusion since I think a lot of people wanted to charge to their rooms. We wanted to go the lazy river and there were enough tubes, however with the volume of kids in the river, we opted to just stay in the swim up bar for this trip. They had a pool you could splash around in, adult only hot tubs, lazy river, splash area for the littles and water slides, so really there is something for everyone.

The bathrooms at their old location downtown were always the kind where after walking in you wanted to devise a way to do your business without actually touching anything in the bathroom. This rich tradition has remained in place. The men's bathroom at this location was the grossest I've seen in some time. How bad? My shoe actually came off because the floor was so sticky with urine and God knows what else.

My kid loves his karate class. He loves to get rewarded for doing his chores at home ( they earn stripes). I think the recognition is the best motivator. Great idea. I think the only thing that is steep is the cost. But at the end keeping my kid focused and interested can't be measured by money. He likes it a lot and he likes his teacher. He is earning his black belt tomorrow and he is excited. So if you are looking for a great karate school, you should put this place on top of your list. They are sincere and great for kids. The Minnesota PGA golf card brought us to try a new course, The Legacy Golf Club in Faribault…read more After our recent rain, the course was flush and beautifully green. Tee boxes and fairways were in good shape and greens were smooth and true. The back nine is more wooded and front nine more of a links style. We played 18 holes in just over 3 hours. I played from the yellow which was about 5000 yds. Staff was welcoming. Great experience. Our card gives us 3 more discounted rounds and we are planning on visiting again.
