I couldn't be more impressed with Andy, Mike, Jeremy and all of the other trainers. Mike and I had a good few long phone calls months prior to sending my pup there. He was extremely responsive, kind and helpful. During the training, I inquired about a few issues I wanted to be sure that my pup was trained on. Mike and Andy sent a very detailed email on their training plans, both of them also called to discuss and explain. They sent me a video of my pup explaining what they were doing w him in the video. They take a video of all the dogs 1x/wk & post it on YouTube. Prior to training, my dog's bad manners were: paws up on counters stealing items & running off with them, going into the bathrooms stealing or chewing on tp roll, taking items off vanity or from my desk. He didn't even attempt doing any of this once for the first week I had him home, so I didn't even have to correct him. He tried 2x the 2nd week, gave him a correction & he dropped it right away. One time he seemed a little eager w my cat, gave him a correction, he walked away. During our walks he used to jump up mid walk, biting at leash, my sleeve or gloves. He hasn't done this at all since he's been home. He used to bark in my vehicle at oncoming traffic with every car going by. He barked 3 times in an hour car ride home from board and train, then hasn't done it again after correction. He heels much better, stays much better and longer, sits and waits at the door for the command to go in/out - his manners are much improved!! With continued work, I have full confidence in perfect stay/recall. He respects me now & I've gotten more kisses then usual. We took the 7-week introductory puppy course with instructor Brittany P. and it was a life saver. Brittany taught us how to control our puppy with techniques such as the quiet hold, zen activities, puppy socialization tactics to help with safety measures, and proper leash walking recommendations. This introductory class really helped us understand puppy behavior, how to course correct and integrate obedience training into our daily lives. Something ironic is that week #1 we had about 5 puppies and as every week passed, we ended up being the only group / puppy for the final 3 weeks so we basically got 1:1 attention! Not sure where / why others backed down but we still really appreciated all that Brittany was able to help us with. Her energy and enthusiasm for puppy obedience were outstanding. Within this puppy course, there are obedience steps you will learn in your training and then complete homework assignments where you will plug and play what you learned into your daily routine (IE: during outdoor walks, kennel time, feeding, sleeping, etc.) There is a generous parking lot on the side and there are two rooms within the building. I can only speak towards the top level as that is where my training was and the space felt very clean considering how many dogs visit each day. My understanding of the basement room is that it is used for agility training but I am sure you can confirm this on the website. We had so much fun that we will probably return for level 2 training. My dog did both and I can't recommend. There is a lack of consistency between trainers. Take the same course with 2 different trainers, terms and methods will all be different. Communication with the office is difficult. I and 3 others I know who used them found the same. Last but definitely not least, serious lack of professionalism in trainers. My boy took the CGC course. He passed the practice test on the last week. I posted I was proud of him on a Facebook group. The following week he failed the official test. His trainer/evaluator went on the Facebook group and mocked us, saying we received divine retribution for bragging and need to eat humble pie. Needless to say we withdrew from the other classes he was registered for. The office has repeatedly ignored my requests to speak to someone about it.

After that private session, we were really looking forward to the Mastering the Leash Walk workshop. Based on the training philosophy listed on the company's website, Lynn's recommendation, online reviews, and the class description we thought this workshop would help us improve walks with our rescue pup. Unfortunately the experience didn't meet those expectations. One [very large and awesome mastiff] puppy took over the instructor's attention and barked for much of the workshop, which made it hard to engage in the class. The dog was sweet, but obviously had very little training (nor had it been neutered, which was surprising for a group class) and disrupted instruction and learning. Although we respect Cesar Milan's training methods, it was disappointing that Max seemed to recite book content without fully showing how to implement those methods in the leash walk. The class description said be ready to enjoy walking with your dog off-leash, by your side. We didn't expect drastic change, but at least wanted actionable information on improving the walk. We were hoping for more instructor attention for each attendee, not just for the loudest or one that needed the most all around training help. It would have been helpful to see the instructor work with the variety of dogs in attendance and reiterate each of the general training ideas he shared. I think the cost warranted a handout or a web page (just one page with an outline or a couple short instructional videos) dedicated to the workshop content. Ultimately, the grandiose description was misleading and was not fulfilled in the workshop. I think at best this workshop was an Intro to Leash Walking Philosophy, which left us feeling like money and time wasted.

Robert truly is the Dog Whisperer! We rescued an abused dog that started to show aggressive fear…read moretowards strangers soon after she turned 1 1/2 yo. We took her to obedience class and hired 4 other well known dog behaviorists with no results. In fact, our dog's aggression towards people began to escalate. She bit several of our friends, family and a neighbor. She broke through our front glass window twice when the mailman walked by. We were told by 2 seperate veterinarians (after an extesive work-up that showed no physical reason for her aggression) to euthanize her. We were hopeless, desperate and concerned for our dog's future as well as for the safety of our friends and family. I am so pleased that a friend referred Robert. I couldn't believe that our dog (labeled "devil dog" by others) was on her back and asking for belly rubs from Robert shortly after he arrived! All the other trainers we hired NEVER were able to pet her or come within a few feet or her...even after 3 months of private training. I am so amazed at the change we have seen and continue to see in our dog. She now welcomes our friends into the house and sits calmly waiting to give sloppy kisses! She looks to us for direction and responds to our commands. She is so peaceful yet happy around company now. We continue to work with Robert as his training techniques work wonders! Robert , we can't thank you enough for saving our dog....and our sanity!

It is hard getting him to focus and although I hate to inflict the shock it seemed the best choice. Started out going to group class at which was excellent for the socialization. These were included in training package. The problem is the class size got maxed out and we ended up just quitting. I don't feel like we got our money's worth. It also started bothering me the amount of what I felt was overuse of shocking some types of dogs that didn't need that as part of their training. Yes the owners and dogs are both being trained. Some of the dogs just seemed not happy. I grew up with and around a lots of dogs. Some dogs just don't need to be shocked to be trained and there are alternatives for them.

Our dogs absolutely love her. She works just as patiently with the owners. First she made sure to understand exactly what our goals were and made sure that her training fit our needs and our dogs' needs. She spent time with me each week teaching me all of the skills that she was working on, practicing them with me and giving me homework to work on with the dogs. Both girls are so good.
