From the owner: WHO WE ARE: We are a community of lifters, ranging from Seniors to Professionals, Athletes,…read morePowerlifters and just plain normal folks who have discovered the transformative power of Strength. We know that strength helps us maintain a healthy metabolism, increases our stamina, improves flexibility and allows us to lead a more active and healthy life. WHO WE ARE NOT: It is very likely that this may not be the right group for you. We don't focus on aesthetics (even though it's a bi-product of the process). We don't do long slow cardio because we know that it's ineffective and we sure as heck don't do "Core Training" because we know that putting weight on your back is far more effective than sit-ups. You also won't find us slamming weights in to the floor or screaming & yelling unless it's to celebrate a PR. WHAT WE DO: We focus on simple, challenging and effective training using barbells and loaded human movement. Our workout's consist of the main four lifts: Squats, Overhead Presses, Deadlifts and Bench Presses along with just enough assistance and supplemental lifts to continue to drive progress on the main four and we follow Simple, Challenging and Effective principles for programming that drive fast, safe and lasting change. So, if your looking to ditch the fads, put in the hard work and get results while doing it amongst a supportive and welcoming community, then you should give us a call.

I took a class last winter, hopefully this teacher is no longer there. She was young. I was not…read moreimpressed because she wasn't focused on her students. I should have asked for my money back. She often rushed through things. She didn't have an awareness of how to teach human adults, by saying something , show something, say it again in a different way, show it again slowly. She said it once, showed it quickly then expected us to do it. She would show something, then have us go do it while she talked with her friends she brought in. She didn't pay attention to her students. She only offered help when I was struggling if I asked for her help, she didn't notice when people were struggling. She was stern and not approachable. She said she had lots of experience training. Perhaps that was true but she needs to work on people skills to be a group dog trainer. This intro class was designed to rush us through a program of a bunch of different things every time so that maybe we felt we learned a lot and got our moneys worth, rather than make sure we had important things down really well. The instructor said that after we finished the class we could come in for open play. I called and left a message about this twice but no one called me back. The place was freezing cold in the winter and smelly. I've heard other people like this place, but I won't go back. I also read the review about a woman abusing a dog here and people being rude. Big fat NO.

I cannot say enough about our experience with Canine Learning Center. What an amazing and positive…read moreexperience for the entire 6week Obedience Course. Charlie (whippet/Pitt- Puerto Rican rescue) loved the course. She looked forward to seeing her friends and learning new skills every week. Julie is so patient with both the canines and the humans. I learned how to be a much better pet parent. Her behavior is markedly better, so much so in fact that friends and family comment how they notice. She was always a sweet girl, but overly excited to the point of annoyance. Now she is sweet, loving and a joy to be around. Thank you, CLC for bringing out the best in my girl!
