If you care about safety and cleanliness, that's another story. In my younger days, I was a Lifeguard. I went through the months of training, CPR, physical exams, swim tests, life saving methods, etc. My point...I KNOW what Lifeguards should be doing and how they should conduct themselves. What I saw during my swim here was far from the standards I was trained with. For starters, aside from the Manager of the pool, the Lifeguards were all kids (to be fair, most are). Normally, that would be fine but the ones I observed the other day were not acting appropriately. I heard constant "F" bombs being dropped, they were staring at their phones, socializing with each other and their friends, etc. NO ONE was watching the water. Provided, it was adult swim hour, but all of the people in the pool (besides myself) were seniors. I'm confident that if something happened to one of them and they went under, none of them would've noticed until it was too late. On top of that, the locker room was filthy and the pool itself had a fair amount of debris in it. Provided, you're never going to keep all debris out of an open pool, but you have 4-5 staff members doing next to nothing so there was plenty of opportunity for one of them to scoop our debris/clean the locker rooms. It's not hard. Since I'm still a fairly strong swimmer, I'll still come here with confidence that I'll be alright and be able to get myself out of trouble should something happen. I would not, however, put the safety of my nieces and nephew in the hands of the Lifeguards I encountered on this day. If my young nieces and nephew were at this pool, my eyes would be dead locked onto them as I have ZERO faith that they would be helped in an emergency. Just my opinion.

Plenty of free weights and dumbbells. It has all benches for the chest, military press, and squat rack. They have an extra room with punching bags, kettle bells, and some yoga balls. In addition, they have small towels to wipe the equipment if you're worried about sanitary stuff. Daily and weekly prices are not bad either for travelers that are temporarily visiting the area (Posted price pic). Keep in mind they close midday from 11am - 3pm and in the weekends. The owner Gloria is super nice and friendly. It's right across the street from El Capitan Casino.

Some of my frustrations are that these serious people tend to hog the equipment with no regard for others who are waiting to use the same equipment, many times they sit on their phones and not even use the equipment. It would be helpful to have some general signage that limits the time people have on each piece of equipment . Also it would be helpful if some of the staff members would be around to help with some of the equipment . For example , the treadmill seems very daunting to me and I have yet to figure it out . Part of that is on me for not searching out a staff member but if there was a little more instructions posted other than what the treadmill instructions are on the equipment would be most helpful . With Anytime fitness conveniently located all over; I'll be sure to have a gym while traveling and my home based locations when I'm home. 24 hour access with your key fob, clean facilities, lockers and showers. I look forward to my next visits here as I have another trip planned soon and hopefully with some snow to admire. Their club memberships are a little more than other gyms, but worth every penny. When I initially got a membership with Anytime; it was nice to visit a club daily where they knew me by name. I then got rid of it because I had three club memberships and I think that's a little excessive. I'm glad to be back.

I learned this after taking the time to submit my personal information and texting with a rep, Jake. He did mention that the website states they do not offer free passes at this location, which I did go back to verify. On the website, if you keep scrolling down, you'll see this notice. However, there are multiple options to "Try us for free," where you're led to submit your information. Even on the page to submit your information the website states "The pass is FREE, and we would love to show you around our gym! Limited to local residents, new customers only." Too bad this isn't true. Very misleading in my opinion. I'd recommend management remove any reference to a free pass since said free pass is made up. Jake was quick to reach out and was helpful when I asked him to delete my information and cancel my appointment, this is the only reason I'm leaving a 2-star review instead of 1 star.
