This is the best place to work out in Tahoe hands down! I LOVE this gym! I am not a fan of the big gyms where there is a battle strategy needed to use equipment because so many people want to use the same one, trying to squeeze into overly packed classes, or having creepy gym rats come over to "show you the right technique" (you know what I'm talking about ladies! ). The classes are a nice size and I feel like I am getting personal attention for the best workout possible. The staff is amazing as well. Tara in particular has such positive energy and is so motivating. Whether you are in one of her group classes or having a personal training session, you will not be disappointed. She keeps you motivated and focused on your goals. Her workouts are designed with much thought and are results oriented with excellent focus on form. Did I mention that you will SWEAT?!? Showed up at 7:50am in anticipation of their opening at 8am (as advertised on Google Maps and on their website), but nobody showed up even by 8:20am to open the gym (where the lights were off). Nobody was picking up the phone, which went straight to voicemail (which didn't indicate any closure relative to advertised times). Entire day is now derailed, including exercise-defined nutritional plan, getting on the slopes, and evening plans, to say nothing of wasting nearly an hour total. Very disappointed. read more

I came to Splie with no expectations and no idea what I was getting into. I took a few classes here with Tara, one of them being my very first spin class, and I was absolutely amazed with how motivating and helpful Tara is. She pushed me to reach the goals I set for myself and did it in a caring and passionate way. She is on her fitness and nutrition game and will for sure get you in the best shape of your life. My only complaint- I live in New York and will always compare other spin instructors to Tara and none will ever meet my expectations! I used this gym as a drop-in. Super reasonable price, $20 cash, $25 credit. Has all of the equipment one could want (battle ropes, hex bar and a ton more). They have a shower with towels. Front desk person who might have been the owner was incredibly welcoming. Overall, a phenomenal experience. Highly recommend. read more

One of the nicest cleanest gym's I've ever seen. I'm ok vacation in Tahoe and I needed to go to the gym, so yelped around my location and Tahoe club 100 popped up the closes. I seen the reviews and everyone was happy so I figure I go and check it out. This is a very nice gym, one thing I like is how they play music, most gym's don't do that and if they do it's boring music. The gym is very clean equipment looks all new. The staff is great!! I am writing this on a couple of amazing milestones. One year ago I walked through Spliés door and met Tara Wallace. That day was life changing! I left that day knowing I was going to get my health back, and Tara and Splié was the place. I was specifically looking to get strength back and heart health. I am a breast cancer survivor. I went through a long battle. I expressed this to Tara, and she took everything in ! She watched me close, but realized I was on a mission! She encouraged me, pushed me, inspired me, every step of the way! After one year at Splié this is what I have gained. Heart health, muscle, confidence, friendships that will last a lifetime, inspiration, hope, strength, laughs and tears, and much more. As I celebrate tomorrow ( with my Splié sisters) 3 years since I was told I had cancer. I am in remission from this beast. My life will never be the same. My heart is healthy and full! I've been going to splie off & on for the last few years, I originally started @ Tara orginal location on emerald bay but had attended 2 classes @ push, she's a very good instructor, who even does personal training after a medical condition last year she encouraged me to come in & she kept checking on me to see how I was doing, & when I got to exhausted she pulled me to the side & worked with me on the side (spin class) I find this impressive! Also her new location is a lot bigger, with other instructors there as well, I took a yoga class with kris zehren very relaxing after a long day, which mine are very long considering I work 2! As far as a place to work out & get motivated splie is amazing, but you will be sore so be prepared no such word as I CAN'T there Tara is a no nonsense gal so if there's a will there's a way with her! So I definitely give this place 5 star's more if I could, wish I had more time to workout there is my only negative comment! read more
