We took our brand new Tesla Model S Plaid directly from the Tesla dealership to AODetail to get PPF, Ceramic Coating, and Ceramic Tint. This is highly recommended as you want to protect your major investment, especially the model S and X, as they come from the California plant, which has a different regulated paint specifications! Like many people, I wanted to find a place closest to the dealership, so that there would be no paint chips on the way there. After finding AODetail, and reading all their positive reviews, and even how the owner responded to the only negative review for someone doing a last minute request on New Year's Eve, I decided to call and talk specifics with the owner, Nick. He was AWESOME from the very first conversation through the entire process! His prices were reasonable and his experience was invaluable. I had some ideas as to what I wanted and which products and we discussed pros and cons of each. On a few occasions, we discussed possible options and rather than try to make a quick buck like many do, he recommended honestly against them as they added little to no value at a higher cost. We talked about his customer service and business practices and philosophy and how it closely aligned with mine when I had my own business. He is a very friendly, patient, down to earth, and honest businessman. He is also a perfectionist, which I appreciate as I am one too! I could not be happier with the outcome, the process, the cost, the owner, the staff, the product choices, and ultimate customer service! These days it is extremely hard to find this level of customer service anymore. I wish more experiences were like this one. I cannot believe people trust their luxury cars here. I cannot overstate how much I would avoid this place. I used Yelp to get a quote. My 5 year old car has never been detailed, plus it sustained some damage from a tire blowing out in front of me. I was hoping some TLC would do the trick. AO Detail, according to Yelp, was well loved and respected. Nick, the owner, gave me a quote. After about a month, I contacted him a 2nd time through his website and set up a date for a 4 step detail service. He was accommodating though short on the phone. I didn't mind. In the days leading up to it, I went on their Instagram to get myself excited for my car's transformation and noticed, in multiple places, their Black Friday Sale blog post advertised. (It still is as I type this. I attached photos.) I looked and it appeared the sale was still going on, as Square showed stock available and the URL still working. All I had to do was purchase it in advance and bring in the certificate. Great! I took advantage of getting 15% off my already planned 4 step detail service. Everything was fine until I noticed the next morning, I had $40 refunded to my card. Weird... The day of service, I dropped off my car 3.5 hours earlier than I promised. Hours went by and business close comes at 5:30. Nick mentioned he may need to keep my car overnight, but no one bothered with even a courtesy text that it was staying the night. I was annoyed but brushed it off. I'll call in the morning. Next morning, I get a text that my car is done, but to call a number. I call the number and Nick picks up. I recite the text, and he sounded confused why I was bothering him. Again, I brushed it off until I got a call from him a few minutes later. It was a mix up. Apparently, MY car wasn't ready, it was another Toyota Prius they had in the shop. It had been over 24 hours they had my car and it still wasn't ready. The fact my car was confused with someone else's put me on alert when I finally went to pick it up. I pull up to my car parked near another silver Toyota Prius, though theirs had body modifications. At least the mix-up wasn't completely crazy. I walked up to my car before I went inside and immediately saw issues. With all of the odd communication, the random $40 refunded, and my car not looking done, I walked in more curious than ever. I walk in suspicious. Nick is cocky. I ask him what service was done on my car, and he mentioned that they decided to do a 3 step detail. But I booked a 4 step. Even more interesting is that the 3 step detail was the Black Friday price I paid, minus $40. How convenient! I asked him why they did the 3 step, and he said that "I didn't need it". I probed him again - why would he make that decision on my behalf and not tell me? - and he got cocky again. "I can just charge you for the 4 step if you really want it". I gritted my teeth. Next, he starts ringing me up. Interesting. I remind him that I already prepaid, and bring out my phone and show him the credit card transaction. He looks at it and acts surprised. The amount on the register is $40 less than what I prepaid. He mentions that he now owes me a refund. I tell him that he doesn't, because he already refunded me $40. He continues to act confused that he didn't do it but in what he says, proves he's aware that I took advantage of the Black Friday sale he left up. Magically the amount I now owe for the downgraded service is all worked out by that mysterious $40 refund he "had no idea" about! He's being dishonest. I didn't want to fight with him on NYE. He clearly didn't want to honor the Black Friday sale for the 4-step detail, so instead he took off the $40, and downgraded me to a full price 3-step. Unprofessional and petty. If you didn't mean to keep it up, you made a mistake, dude. It happens. Talk to me like a person instead of doing sketchy stuff like this? Now I'm on even higher alert. He gives me the keys and I go outside. I've attached just 4 pictures of the *$300+* detail that they did. I suspect Nick was pissed at me for taking advantage of a sale he left up and told the boys to turn the car over in an hour or two and send it on its way. The more I looked at the car, the more I found. I was furious. Nick can't say anything as I point out area after area of the car skipped over. He cited he was embarrassed but didn't want this to ruin his reputation. He refunded me, and asked for a second chance, blaming his crew. He offered to redo my car - pick it up at my house - to prove himself, but after thinking about it, I chose to do this review instead. He proved he can't be trusted from downgrading my service, not communicating with me, and being a weasel throughout everything until he realized the consequences of his actions. Unreal. This place is a hidden gem. Very good customer service, excellent communication, fair pricing. My son threw up in our car and calling around a lot of places are booked. When I talk to Nick, he said they are booked as well but I explain to him that I didn't want to have the vomit to seep into the seats and carpet. He understood, and made an exception, and I brought it in right away. They took care of it over two days due to their schedule, but removed the stain vomit first. I got a text a few hours before it was ready, saying when it's anticipated to be done. Came and picked it up and was truly impressed of how much care they put into their work. I'm really not sure why I didn't leave a review when Nick worked on my car last year. I paid a visit to the shop and met with Nick and explained to him what I wanted (lifetime ceramic coating, dipped rims and chrome delete) on my new vehicle. I can't remember how long he said he needed but I explained that I would be unable to drive for a few weeks, so it was a non-issue and he could take his time with the car. He actually drove to my house, left his truck and drove my vehicle back to his shop. He brought it back and it was almost perfect! They had forgotten the chrome delete. He took my vehicle back to the shop and brought it back the next day and I am completely satisfied and would recommend this shop! I will get my vehicle detailed yearly in order to keep the warranty valid on the lifetime ceramic coating. read more

If I could give these guys 12 stars I would. I had just bought a new car and we had an ice storm in December. The next morning my car looked like Mr Snow Miser had a party on it and it was encased in ice and snow. Like a dope I used my scraper to clean the ice off my hood, doors, roof, etc, and drove to work without another thought. Later on I looked at my car and OMFG, it looked like a kindergarten drew all over it with a white magic marker!! WHAT HAVE I DONE!!!11?? My brand new car's paint job was destroyed! Or so I thought. I had no idea what to do and looked up car detailers and found these guys. It was right before New Years Eve I figured they'd be packed but I called them anyway. They fit me in the next day. I dropped the car off and said please do what you can. The guy at the desk was cool and said no worries we gotcha. 5 hours later I got a call it was done and Holy Crap. It was like nothing ever happened! The car looked brand new! Every inch of it inside and out! I really can't praise these guys enough. I cannot recommend AODetail enough! This was a long (very, very long) overdue detail for my 2014 Countryman. The car does a lot of sitting at times and living in the city does not help the cause. Nick was great about helping us to schedule my service and the hand off of keys was easy. The employee for the walk around was thorough and clearly laid out what could and could not be "fixed." My expectations were not high for some of the marks and scratches I thought were deeper and just a part of city living. When I picked up my car a few hours later the work was impeccable and I was happily shocked at how they were able to buff out and shine off so much of what I thought was damage. Did extensive research around the entire philadelphia/nj area and after talking with nick (owner) over the phone, I knew this was the place to have my RS5 sportback wrapped with paint protection film (PPF). Previously had gone to other PPF installers who were excellent, but nick's reputation and track record appear to be unparalleled. Nick was extremely helpful in arranging scheduling and explaining the process as well as any questions I had. Having just dropped off the brand new car with him a few days ago (straight from the dealership), walking into the shop and seeing other high end cars definitely reaffirmed my decision to go with this business. It's always reassuring when multiple exotic/luxury cars (porsche, tesla, bmw, mercs, etc) are being serviced by the place and trusted by clientele. The facility is fairly clean and seems to be secure with multiple cameras around the premises. For higher end cars, nick and one of his assistants will be personally wrapping the car, so you can be sure that not just any joe schmoe is touching your car and that the results will be something he can base his reputation on. Specifically for PPF, the choices are suntek, premium shield elite self healing, and stek. He'll give recommendations for what he thinks will be the best in terms of your needs, quality, and price point. Was debating between suntek and premium shield, but based on his recommendations, will likely go with premium shield even though that doesn't seem like one of the more mainstream ppf's (suntek and xpel have known trackrecords for quality and durability). But I trust him as the professional in this craft, and as any client who knows the ppf space will tell you, you invest in the installer first and foremost. Hopefully will be getting the (literally) brand new car back in pristine condition with an expertly installed full PPF wrap that will provide peace of mind for many years to come. Will update the ratings and reviews in about a week, but for now, 5 stars for professionalism and the initial consultation process and for making me feel completely comfortable in leaving my RS5 in a stranger's hands. ***UPDATE- As close to perfect work as you'd expect anyone to be able to do. Truly impressive regarding the attention to detail and craftsmanship. Edges are wrapped wherever the pre-cut templates allowed for it. Edges are closely apposed. This guy is legit. However, customer service is where Nick and his business truly shine. He came in on Sunday (his day off and when business is closed), just for me to be able to pick up my vehicle. Also got to meet his co-owner, his really friendly rottweiler who you'd be lucky to meet. To top it off, the kit installation of the mirrors was not perfect and didn't meet his or my exacting standards, so he told me to come back next week so he'd be able to hand cut the premium shield film to exactly fit the mirrors. I decided to try AutObsessions because they are close to home and the pictures of their previous work looked great. The car is a SuperSnake and it has lots of places where wax builds up. For example, I had dried wax lines along the hood and trunk stripes and all along the clear paint protector film which covers the front, sides and rear. After they were finished, the dried wax was completely gone and the paint looked a mile deep. It never looked so good. Moreover, the wheels are black and easily show water stains but they also looked better than new. They did such a good job on my toy that I'll be bringing the day driver in for the full treatment and I'm sure it will feel like a new car. Nick worked with me to pick the best weather to bring the car in, which is really appreciated. It's bad enough it drive the car home in the rain (OR SNOW) but the tires have zero traction on anything less than hot, dry asphalt. He definitely went the extra mile for me.
