My physician gave me a prescription for PT in September 2025. I decided that my arm would just get better, but I was very mistaken (and foolish). I finally started PT in March. I went in as a non-believer, but oh my goodness! Was I ever wrong! Jessie and Stephanie were vital in helping me get my range of motion better! There was a time when I couldn't reach back with my left arm to put on my seatbelt without almost crying in pain. I had trouble in the shower washing my back. I had trouble putting on my winter coat. I had trouble getting dressed by myself, and would have to recruit my husband or daughter in order for me to get my clothes on without yelping in pain. AON has given me the use of my arm back! Once again, I was a non-believer - now I would encourage anyone to get there ASAP if they need Physical Therapy. It helped to change my life for the better! Eight weeks ago I came to the AON location in Brewster with a slight tear of my meniscus. I was limping/in pain. Today I finished my last session of twice a week PT and thanks to Kevin and his amazing team I am pain free and no longer limping. The staff is always polite, helpful and professional. Updated 09/15/22 - the office manager called me to state that they take my masking compliant seriously and will start enforcing it more strictly: The staff is generally great, but they do not enforce their building's own masking rules. This center is crowded with ill and aging patients with special risks for contracting Covid, but no one has to wear a mask in the common areas if they don't want to, even if they are breathing heavily side by side with other patients. read more

Been here for now my 3rd different injury and must say they are true professionals who truly are concerned that your injury (and mobility/function) are done correctly and not to cause further injury. The ambiance is friendly and jovial. They are extremely patient in explaining their reasoning for movements and stretches. I've left after each injury pain free and with full range of motion. There is a Manager Julie I spoke with. This facility must have non residents of Brewster and Putnam working there. As I find that they have poor attitudes and do not have any sense of running a successful business. Not friendly. They do not go the extra mile for their patients. They also give preferential treatment with appointments to person's that work in the building and their Family. Everyone else gets appointments 3 weeks later. Very poor!. read more

Kevin, the physical therapist who helped me, really took the time to help me not just with exercises to strengthen my lower back but also to inform me of my x-ray test results so I could better understand my health problem. It was always very easy to make an appointment with Kevin so that he and his assistants could help me along in both a professional and friendly manner that made me feel at ease. Had a rotator cuff issue and the team at Aon were sympathic, well equipped, knowledgeable in regards to my injury. Angel my favorite physical therapist "and only friend" (inside joke LOL) knew how to work out the "kinks" and I was up and running again in about 4 weeks. AON helped get me walking again after a bad leg break and surgery. I only wish I didn't move and could have continued my PT needs at AON... no other physical therapy place I've been to has compared in the care and progress I had during my one month at AON. This is the exact words of the letter I wrote to the owner, after my awful experience. This was a week or so ago. The owner never got back to me, unfortunately. That is why I am sharing it here. I hope this helps others out! I needed to inform you of the experience I had during my visit with your business today, November 16, 2016. I recently received a prescription for physical therapy from my neurologist with regards to my Multiple Sclerosis I made an appointment at your business AON Physical Therapy, for November 16, 2016. When I arrived, the place was clean and comfortable. I was called in by a physical therapist, Josephine. I informed Josephine that this was the first time I had ever seen a physical therapist and that I had no experience with regards to the session or equipment. She spoke with me for a few minutes, taking down my information and giving me a few quick physical strength tests. There was no discussion of a treatment plan or possible goals, but I assumed that would come during the session. Josephine also had me walk back and forth across the floor of the room in different ways for what I assume was a gross motor skills test, but I was not told the reason why. She then told me to sit on one of the stationary bicycles and told me what to do once I was seated. Unfortunately, that is where the level of professionalism at your establishment dropped of. Once seated on the bike, I was told to go at a relaxed pace. Then I was left for 10 minutes, while Josephine worked with another client. My goals or any plan of action had still not been discussed. After 10 minutes, the timer went off and Josephine returned to me from across the room. I was brought to a spot just under the televisions and told to touch my knee to an object. A timer was placed with me and then she left to work with someone else, once again. Then, someone that had been previously cleaning equipment came over and began chatting with me. I still had no idea of the reason or purpose of the exercise. Nor did I know neither the speed I was supposed to go nor any other information about the exercise. After the timer went off, Josephine did not come over. This young gentleman then told me to "stand on this" and do the knee touches again. I had no idea what I was dong, why I was doing it, the equipment I was using, if I was doing anything correctly and on and on. After the timer went off again, I switched things I was standing on, and told to keep my balance, again by the gentleman who was definitely not a physical therapist. Once again, I had no idea how to use the equipment, why I was using this, the point of the exercise or anything like that, as I had not spoken to Josephine in about 15 minutes. After being taking off this board of some kind, Josephine finally came back towards, but not to, me. I was hoping for some discussion with her, however she simply told the gentleman that seemed to be a maintenance worker to "put her on the" hand bike (I misremember the exact name, as I wasn't told anything about the bike either). After about five minutes of using the hand bike for no reason I could speak to, I realized I was holding the handles upside down. That was basically the end of my patience with your establishment. I got off the bike by myself, walked to Josephine and told her that I was tired and did not want to go on. I had no interest in starting a conversation about the level of unprofessionalism I had experienced at your business, AON Physical Therapy. At that point she stretched my legs and I left. I would much rather spent $25 and an hour of my time elsewhere. I do not know how other establishments run, but it cannot be with this level of unprofessionalism and lack of interest in clients. Needless to say, the decision to undertake physical therapy as treatment, as Multiple Sclerosis is a multi-faceted, incredibly frustrating disease to live with was not done lightly. More importantly than being shown the intricacies of each machine, was the need for simple compassion. While I am aware that this is a business; you must be aware, this is a visit that often deals with people in extreme situations. These are the kind of situations where people may be in desperate states of mind, perhaps coming to you as a last bastion of hope. I can only imagine the people that may have been turned off to physical therapy entirely because of the treatment I received today. read more

Unless you like being talked down to and left to feel like an idiot. Do not go to AON physical therapy in Brewster. PT Angel is very rude, loud, condescending and unprofessional. When I tried to explain the pain my son was having from a particular workout, his response was, "Well, he has to do it. I'm the therapist, I know what I'm doing, so he has to do it." I have tried several times to reach Bryan Kelly on Monday, February 1, 2016 to wager a complaint about his staff on Friday, January 29, 2016 at my 4pm appointment. I arrived a few minutes before my appointment and observed two young male assistants and one therapist there. I observed the office was not crowded as this was my first time coming later in the afternoon, I usually have an 11-11:45am appoint. I was approached by one of the young men and I told him that on my last visit I was doing new exercises and it really hurt my neck where I have a deterioted disc, the therapist overheard me and responed scarcasticly by saying that is called exercise, the you man then led me to a table and threw a single pillow on it from another table and handed me a ball and said do you know how to do these I responed yes. I was given no heat for my back prior to exercise which has always been the procedure ever since I started therapy. After I was done with ball exercises he led me to a machine which I had never used before and mind you was not cleaned off before he placed me there and I asked what the machine was for and he said for my back. I figured out myself how to use it by watching other patients. He came over and said I was not sitting up straight and I told him I could not reach the handles, you see he never even bothered to adjust the machine for me. He then led me to the bicycle machine which also was not cleaned off since I just witnessed an elderly woman just get off it. I finished those exercises and was lead to the balance board. While on the board I withness one of the young men place the elderly woman on a machine, she was left to herself to complete her exercises but I could see she was having much difficulty and did not complete them, no one was to be seen to assist her or check on her. She proceeded to try to get off the machine with great difficulty and I almost had to stop what I was doing to go and help her. After finishing what I was doing I stood there for awhile waiting for assistance and no one was to be found. I went and put on my coat and cancelled the remainder of my appts. and said I would never return. Finally I got a response from the therapist as to what happened and where was I going. I said I'm out of here. I came to you for help with my pain and was not expecting the unprofessionalism that I observed. You did not even have the courtesy to return any of my phone calls to find out why I left your office abruptly. I will be calling my ins. company and request they do not pay you for my last visit.
