One of the most enthusiastic and helpful instructors I've had, not just for driving, but in any form of school. His directions, his notes, his comedic stories based on his real travels and incredible feats of adventure, all of it was fantastic. I didn't feel like I had to worry, even when he told me my errors. My experience here was literally amazing!! I cannot recommend this driving school enough!! I had Brianna Spyier as my instructor she is wonderful. I learned so much and felt so prepared for my behind the wheel exam. I recommend getting the VIP package which is the one I got,. It comes with 10 hours behind the wheel, free way lesson, practice exam, and using their car for the behind the wheel test. The day of my exam Jessica picked me up an hour before my exam and she let me drive to the dmv. She was incredibly nice and helpful. I was a little nervous before my test but Jessica was supportive and talked me through all the questions and concerns I had. Which calmed my nerves down tremendously. I just passed my road test today with only 3 points deducted, and I owe it all to my phenomenal driving instructor, Allison! As an adult learner who had previously failed the road test during college and then lived in New York City for several years without needing to drive, I was pretty nervous about getting behind the wheel again. But I had to get it as I'm now in Irvine. I took three class sessions with Allison and saw significant improvements after every lesson. It was kinda magical! Her patience and ability to point things out promptly made each class enjoyable and effective. One great example is her tips for parking - I used to struggle getting the car into the parking spot when practicing with my husband, but Allison's guidance made it so that I can now park smoothly every single time! Allison's approach made learning to drive as an adult a breeze, and I can confidently say that my money was very well spent. I received a call from the owner Jason yesterday. I was told that my son's driving instructor, Troi de Silva, did not feel safe during lessons with my son and they have decided to cancel all future lessons. I let my son drive in between lessons so that he can get enough practice behind the wheel to improve for the next lesson. Again, this is after his third lesson over the course of about 6 weeks or so. I would think he has gotten better over time, but if not, I wanted to know what about the lesson was so dangerous so we would know what to work on with the next driving school. Jason told me he was not going to share that information with me and that they reserve the right to refuse lessons to anyone. If it was driving related, why would you not share what had Troi so uncomfortable? And if was NOT driving related, as a mother I want to know what happened. This is what upset me. I asked my son about his lesson right after he returned home, and he said everything was good. The ONLY feedback he had ever received from Troi was that they would need to work on turns in intersections after the first lesson. I asked my son about the lesson again after I received the disturbing call. He again stated the lesson was just as normal as any other time, and they were even discussing how school was going for him. The school takes your money and then gives you a limited schedule with very few options for lessons and they only have 1-2 instructors available at the location closest to Bellflower. I am disappointed that my son did not get an instructor that cared enough to at least tell me why he felt he did not want to continue lessons. Again, if it was safety related, you would think he would have enough integrity to let me know after his lesson that he won't be continuing, and tell me what was risking his safety. Instead he was a coward and had Jason make a tasteless and pointless call about canceling future lessons with no further elaboration. Please, spend your money elsewhere and find a reliable, dependable driving school that actually cares about the students they are supposed to be serving. This review is not posted to receive a weak response from the company with you repeating what I said in a way to make you look like you're the victim in this. Save it. I just want people to know what a waste of time this place is. Truly disgusted. Update: After seeing this review, Troi sent an email and asked that I give him a call. I did, and he was able to explain what made him speak with Jason about my son's lessons. He was a bit too confident behind the wheel and not following instructions. Switching lanes when not asked to, not minding the speed limit, etc. Which again, are things a parent needs to know if she's hired your company to teach her child how to safely and effectively be behind a wheel. I could totally understand from that angle and agreed with Troi. I still don't agree with Jason keeping that very important information from me and acting like there was some top-secret reason he had to cancel his lessons. Or making it seem that he was protecting Troi by not divulging the information. The decision to cancel was based solely on the owner Jason, not the instructor. I don't appreciate Jason not being honest and trying to convince me it was not his decision to cancel when it was. Because of this, I will stand by my 1 star rating. Not because of Troi, but because of the deceptive owner. read more

I didn't have much driving experience prior to this driving school so I bought the VIP Plus Package (20 hours + Freeway Driving + DMV Accompaniment) and booked all of my lessons with Allison Olvera. The website was easy to navigate through and scheduling the lessons online was simple. As an adult driver, I felt pressure and anxiety to pass on my first try and with her help, I was able to do so today! She was punctual to every single meeting and on the first day she even came 10 minutes earlier than the scheduled appointment time. During the lessons, she was always very alert, which helped me with my anxieties about being on the road, and made sure to point out any errors I made, as well as how to correct them. I drove on the freeway for the first time with her help and have progressed to feel a lot more comfortable going on it due to her guidance. She was very knowledgeable about the entire layout of Orange County, which made directions as to where to go very easy. On the day of the test she provided me with many words of encouragement and helped calm me down so that by the time I started the driving test, I felt a lot more confident. Overall, she has imparted me with valuable driving skills that I will continue to use in my everyday life and I am thankful for the effort she put into teaching me.
