I'll try to be concise so this will be helpful to others, but this was probably one of the best investments of my life. I had little to no experience driving, am a painfully shy and fearful person. Knowing myself I enrolled for 10 sessions with Sam. The process was very smooth from booking to the test itself. The price was very reasonable too. I was relieved the car came with an accelerator and brakes for the instructor's use. The lessons were well planned in terms of difficulty. But most impressive was my instructor! He observes and checks in with you, is patient and calm and you feel safe- and he's just a really good person who brings out the best in you. Long overdue review. Sam helped me pass my driving test last year and become confident in allowing myself to learn how to drive and not beat myself up for not getting it right the first time. He really allowed me to recognize that I was only stopping myself and that I too can be on the road and not be afraid to be. I'm so happy I found this school. I'm 20 years old and driving has never really been a priority for me but given that it's turning into a necessity, I had to learn. Elysis, the customer service representative, provides fantastic customer service over the phone! He's always willing to help! My wife suffered a real blow to her confidence early on in her driving instruction but we knew she needed to get her confidence back. We contacted Persis and were allotted Sam as instructor. He worked around our work schedule and slowly gave her, her confidence back. On the day of the exam she had a bit of a meltdown and called Sam who once again returned her confidence to her and she passed with flying colors. Here is a short list of things I loved about Persis 1. I was able to easily schedule my 3 driving lesson at convenient times. 2. During each lesson, Sam would draw out and write on his notepad to help me visualize what to do when I drive/park. 3. At my last lesson, 1 week prior to my test date, Sam drove through the Laguna Hills DMV course twice, giving pointers and explaining where/how possible points could be docked. Then I drove through the course as practice test where he loosely guided me as the real tester would and gave me a pass/fail grade at the end. Not only did this ensure I would be able to pass the real driving test, it also made the experience way less stressed than it could have been. read more

I've driven the roads in Europe, New York City, Boston, Alaska, China, and many more without a single accident (knock knock) these years and I'm beyond grateful for this confidence and mature mindset that has saved me from a lot of dangerous on-road situations. Sam did an amazing job helping my son pass the driver's test on the first time. He was always on time and gave good suggestions. Sam especially came through when my son was scheduled for his third and final lesson, days before his behind the wheel test. My son was struggling with a lot of anxiety about some challenges he was having, in addition to not feeling prepared for the test. Sam patiently waited 30 minutes while my son refused to get in the car. Sam offered multiple suggestions about how to help Alex feel comfortable. I am by personality a very anxious and nervous person. I'm so glad to have had Sam as my driving instructor. He made me feel comfortable, reassured me, significantly boosted my confidence on the road and showed me everything I needed to know. I had 4 different instructors from different schools before but he was unlike any normal instructor. he really sit down with you and evaluates your problem areas or other external/internal issues that you may need more practice on. Sam was also very caring and empathetic towards me. I wouldn't have wanted anyone else to have been with me on my day. Even though I was super nervous, I passed w few marks. After the test, I hopped out the car with the biggest grin on my face feeling so joyful that I had passed today. I highly recommend this school. I took the six hour lessons in order to take my DMV here as i come from abroad and also to refresh my driving skills. I got Sam as my instructor. He is a great teacher, he is patient, courteous and gentle when correcting you of your mistakes.
