I'm very picky and told him I don't trust many Doctors, so far he's been great! I do like he's a good listener!

My visit with Dr. Budati was not what I was wishing it would be. I waited months to get this…read moreappointment since I had switched insurance plans, and was excited to finally come in today. The appointment was rushed, I was told I could only address two concerns outside of the appointment and what it involves itself, and I was made to feel ashamed about my weight. I am currently in graduate school to become a marriage and family therapist, and have always cared deeply about mental health and wellness. It is clear that she does not think about how her words can affect people's mental health or even trigger their traumas. Dr. Budati rushed through my appointment, and then swiveled in her chair, adjusting the computer monitor for me to see, saying "now I am going to discuss your weight. I am going to put you on a low carb diet, okay?" She had not asked me one thing about my body yet involving exercise, diet, or anything. This was a total whiplash and unexpected change in topic which I gave no consent to discussing. She just assumed that because I have more body fat, I am unhealthy. I eat a healthy diet now and lift heavy weights at a gym for two hours at a time at least four days a week. I also work an active job and garden regularly. I am the healthiest I have been in years. But she saw my body, and made assumptions. She, without asking, told me she was putting me on a low carb diet, and proceeded to tell me to intermittently fast, never eat past 5PM, stop eating pasta and potatoes (I rarely do) and to stop drinking juice (I cannot remember the last time I drank juice within the last year). She told me that in a few months if I haven't lost weight there are "medications to help with that." All the while, she never stopped to ask if I had concerns or questions...she just dumped this all on me without any room for me to speak. That is so terribly unhealthy and toxic for the mind. I did not ask her for advice, or about how to shrink myself. All I wanted was a normal checkup and referral to an OBGYN. It is rude to tell someone who has extra weight to shrink themselves with medications without them asking for it. After all of this when she was about to leave, she said that she should've asked if I ever had an eating disorder or if I currently do...well a little too late. It turns out I do struggle with disordered eating reminiscent of a binge eating disorder I've struggled with for over a decade. I have trauma around diet culture and body shaming, and she completely reignited those awful thoughts about myself. She, though maybe not intentionally, was very fatphobic towards me today and it caused me to cry on my way home. Her lack of awareness can easily send people in a downward spiral or even cause a relapse in eating disorders for some. She needs to educate herself on how to deal with clients of all different diverse body types. In this appointment, she also told me she signed me up for HIV testing because I have tattoos (they were done in professional studios using medical grade equipment that was freshly opened when I got them done, as every single legitimate shop does). I did not appreciate her making this assumption especially because I am gay and indicated so on my chart. I cannot help but wonder if she assumed I have HIV because I am gay. She made many assumptions about me based on my weight, sexuality, and the way I present myself, all of which are false. I usually do not like to complain, but this is all beyond unacceptable.

If I could give ZERO stars, I would. It took three months and two pre-appointments with other staff…read morebefore I met her. You'd think in all that time she would have read my chart... within 5min of meeting her she suggested I get Electro-shock Therapy for my MDD... After that appointment, she sent me to a Specialist that was out-of-network, sticking me with a $600 bill - I'm on Disability and that's almost half my monthly income. 6mo. later, when I went in for a follow up appointment, she reintroduced herself having forgotten she me before. Dr. Abalos is a shining example of all that is wrong with Primary Care Physicians of today.

Would not recommend this Dr office. Was seen here for a couple of years. At first it was great but…read moreafter a few visits I noticed that I never saw the same doctor. Always a new nurse practitioner who weren't even aware of my medical history making it seem like it was my first appointment every time I went there. I got tired of explaining my problems to someone new every time. I have been dealing with back pain for a few years now and they referred me to physical therapy. I did 20 visits of therapy with no relief and paid nearly $800 in copays. After PT didn't work, they said they were going to refer me to the spine and nerve center. A couple days later the front desk called me and told me that the spine and nerve center does not accept my insurance and that I would have to find a place that would. I spent months in pain feeling hopeless. Fast forward to now, I got a new doctor and got into the spine and nerve center within a month. Turns out they do accept my insurance! I have been sick before with some kind of chest infection and Abalos literally told me not to call back if I do not get better, that it was just a virus!

Rocklin Family Practice & Sports Medicine - Terrible blood work experience

Dr. Chima is fantastic, as is his MA, Charity!…read more I've been going to this office for a few years and Dr. Chima has always been a wealth of knowledge, understanding, patient and thorough. Charity is ALWAYS happy and cheerful The front office staff is not super warm - well not really warm at all.. and they don't exhibit great eye contact which is a pet peeve of mine considering I used to do that same job years ago... but it's a small price to pay for the physician and his support staff.

Disrespectful. Unprofessional. Dismissive. Arrogant. I…read morecan't believe that I was a patient of this practice for 10 years and ultimately treated like this. I was assigned Dr. Roy Harris as my PCP. Although I prefer to have a female PCP, I was okay with scheduling all of my appointments with his NP Janina. She was awesome, but eventually moved out of state. I then scheduled with NP Wendy and was happy for the most part with the care I received. At around the time she retired, the practice brought a female MD on board. I thought, "Great, I can finally have a female MD as my PCP!" Her profile described her as exactly the doctor I had been waiting for. When I called the office to schedule an annual physical with her, I was told NO because Dr. Harris was my PCP. I told the scheduler that I was not comfortable with a male performing a physical and asked to change my PCP to Dr. Michelle Do. I was told that had to be "approved" by someone named Cynthia in the office and I would receive a call back later that day. While awaiting the call back (which never happened), I started reading reviews online and was appalled by the multiple negative reviews of Dr. Harris specifically. At that point, I was not just uncomfortable with having a male PCP, but with him being my PCP. It took two more calls to the office that week to ultimately be told by Cynthia that I could NOT change my PCP assignment. It did not matter to her that in 10 years, I had never had one appointment with him or that I was completely uncomfortable with him. She claimed the practice has a policy about switching doctors. When I asked for the policy via my patient portal, she admitted that there was nothing in writing. Anyone in health care knows that if it is not in writing, then it doesn't exist. She was incredibly rude and dismissive. By the end of my phone call, the scheduler Roberta and Queen Cynthia confirmed the following: If I were a brand new patient, then I could choose Dr. Do as my PCP. Because I was already a patient, I no longer had a choice. (Whichever PCP a patient starts with is who they are stuck with.) If I wanted an annual physical with a female, then I could schedule with a nurse practitioner or physician's assistant. The female MD in their office was not a choice for me simply because my assigned PCP was Dr. Harris. Their supposed "policy" of not allowing patients to change their PCP is completely disrespectful. Brand new patients have a choice but established patients do not. Their website claims to "deliver personalized health care" and that their "philosophy is to provide individualized care", yet they will not allow patients to have a say in who provides their care. Horrible business model.

Rocklin Family Practice & Sports Medicine - Would recommend going elsewhere for bloodwork. Had to go to the Urgent Care after having a terrible experience at Rocklin Sports Medicine.
