Similar to Jeff B.'s review, I had a similar experience. I was the first of my neighbors on both sides of me to install a fence. After a number of years, the fence needed replacing and my neighbor used Apex to replace the fence between our yards. Not only did they move the fence further into my yard an not in line with the property line, but they also cut through my underground french drains and the irrigation pipe for my sprinkler system. I didn't know at the time because I wasn't using my sprinkler system and had shut the water off at the main but Apex never told my neighbor and never told me. Fast forward a few years, I'm having new landscaping put in and wanted to start using my sprinkler system only to discover that Apex had destroyed it when they installed the fence for my neighbor. They literally dug through the pipes, poured concrete over the sprinkler head and over and into the pipes and drains, and installed a post right on top of the head. When I called asking them to take responsibility and share in the liability (it cost me $680 to uninstall and reinstall a portion of the fence and then repair my sprinkler system that they broke), their response was, "our agreement was with your neighbor, we install the fence where the customer tells us to install it, it was a few years ago and we don't even know who the crew was, etc., etc.) basically telling me they weren't going to help out with the repairs of the sprinkler system they broke and what will subsequently be the cost of having to move the fence over to the real property line. Apparently, they don't have computer systems with historical records indicating who worked on each job, don't adhere to property lines, and have no issues destroying the neighbor of their customer's property! The kicker was, I was on the phone with a manager that started getting lippy with me so I asked to speak with an owner, he put me on pause and said he'd go see if they were available, and a minute later, they hung up on me. I've been doing massive renovations to my house and I ran into a timing issue where they had to hold my gate for about six weeks and they were so kind about it. I'm so happy with the project and the completion of it. The entire team was amazing to work with and extremely kind and very transparent about their role in the work- and what they were completing that day. I had a three day job. Extremely thrilled. Worse fence company I have ever dealt with. They quote you an upfront cheap price and are very helpful until they get your business. The fence they installed was imported crap but the installers actually did a great job. Once Apex had your money they would never come back to perform any warranty work even if you could get them to answer phone or return a call. Apex fence did a fantastic job to install a black powder coated 5' high fence around our entire backyard with 3 gates including a double 8' wide gate at top of our driveway. The fence is solidly installed and looks fabulous. We had a 3' high black wire mesh placed around the base of the fence to keep our family's small dogs from getting out between the rails. The original 8' gate sections (2) had some damage that was pointed out by the installer and Apex replaced those pieces in due time to our satisfaction. Highly recommended. read more

Order was for replacement of existing privacy fence with dig wire. I was told I would not need dig wire as fence would sit flush with the ground. New fence was to be dog ear privacy fence with 0 inch spacing between the boards. After fence was installed June 16-17 there were several large gaps underneath the fence and the majority of the spacing between the boards is 1/2 inch. I can see right through my "privacy" fence After several discussions with company, dig defence was installed to address the gaps beneath the fence. Repeated attempts to address the 1/2 inch spaces between the boards have been unsuccessful. First response was to tell me it was normal shrinkage and warping. Then I was told that it is impossible to get the boards of the privacy fence flush and that gapping is normal and in the Ts and Cs. Gapping BEWTEEN the boards is not referenced in the Ts and Cs. September 12 I was told that they could send someone out with more boards to attempt to remove and tighten boards that show a gap - which is the MAJORITY of the boards. That has not happened and since then I have heard nothing. The 25 yr old fence that was replaced didn't have spaces like this. I ordered a privacy fence and that is what I expected. read more

My experience with the "Fence Lady" was excellent. The installation crew did a great job. However, I have some issues with boards splitting open & a double gate that needs to be adjusted. I have emailed pictures, talked on the phone with them 3 times... still have not heard a response back. Last contact was over 3 weeks ago. This team was very responsive at the beginning. I was able to set a date and time pretty quickly after I initially reached out to them in early April. Although it said to leave a deposit, I had to pay in full because a smaller deposit option was not available. When the team arrived, they had a different order statement than the one I originally signed and paid for, almost making me pay an unnecessary extra charge. After everything was done, they left some leftover pieces that I had to dispose of myself. I reached out to the lead, Jacob, based on some concerns I had regarding how they installed the fence. After being unsuccessful at reaching him via email, due to some issues on their end, I was able to reach him via text message early May and he said he would send his operational manager to help address any issues, which was great. However, after I sent him pictures showing the issues I was concerned about, he did not respond. I have reached out via text once a week since early May with no response and no fix to the fence they installed in my residence. I never got a response back. The fence was never fixed, and they never came back to check on it after reaching out to them countless times. read more

This isn't a company I'd ever want anyone to experience. This company is reckless. After the estimate was completed I paid a 50% deposit. After scheduling me they changed it 2 more times. The crew that came out was nice enough but they did several things that left me wondering how this company stays in business. They left a mess all over my yard. Concrete debris, crushed several plants and decorative borders around these plants. They moved the existing fence line because a NEIGHBOR told the installer to and paid him $100. I called Apex to complain and sent pictures. I never heard a word back from them. The quality is ok but the mess, the damage and recklessly moving an established fence line says these people are reckless, irresponsible and careless. I didn't pay the other 50% and they never asked. We bought a 6' wood capped wood fence installed by Apex in 2017. Within 3 months we started having issues and called Apex. All we got was excuses that wood warps and nothing could be done. From the warped pickets to the gate falling apart, and support post cracked through, it is apparent we made a mistake with Apex fence. Over the past year, we have sent numerous emails and called in an effort to have these issues resolved. During that time I did get a few emails that we kept with promises to fix the issues. Then no calls or follow up. Finally we learned the person left the company. Finally, a few weeks ago, I did get a return call and spoke to the owner, after I asked to speak with him several times. At first he seemed to listen and agree we had a problem. The owner was the 2nd person from Apex to state they had problems with the quality of lumber. and we got a bad batch. He also said he personally looked at our fence. Two weeks later he sent a crew out while we were not home that replaced about 20 pickets. However, still no resolution on the gate nor the post that are also bad. A fence should last more than 1 year. Since they have admitted we got a bad batch of lumber, why will they not replace it, or at least correct our issues. Especially since we have a contract. Now we have called and left 2 more messages and sent 2 emails with no response. The company not calling back is unacceptable. They used a faulty quality product which they stated and now will not help stand behind their product nor honor the contract that we have. I had a 6' wood fence installed by Apex in 2008, within the first year my gate stopped closing properly due to improper support. We personally added additional support bottom line was for the size gate and angle they did not properly support it! In 2014 I notice some waves in the fence line and after a few storms section by section the fence has fallen due to rotten post. I have called Apex 3 times to come out and look at the fence with no returned calls. Neither of my neighbors fences have fallen and their fences were put up years before mine. I saw a news report on WSB about the post problem on fences that were installed after the EPA changed guidelines. I am not expecting that after 8 years to not have to pay anything but why the company won't call me back to look at it is unacceptable. They used a faulty product and now will not help in resolving the issue! read more

Would love to leave a true testimonial since their website only shares positive feedback. Our sales person Willie was responsive and provided quote instantly. He was easy to work with and said everything he needed to say, to get us to accept the quote. Once they received the 50% deposit communication from the office was below my expectations. They received my order and deposit on Feb 28. Scheduled fence installation May 9 (per my request based on house closing). I was told by the lady in the office that they would order the gate since it takes 4-6 weeks. They installed the fence on time and did not install the gate. No one communicated a word to me until I called in the following week May 16 and asked why no one installed the gates. The same lady told me that they didn't have the gates ordered because they were waiting on me to have the columns installed for the custom gate. Communication would have been great because my mason guy was going to build the columns after they installed the gate. I asked if they could just install the gates so we could coordinate the column size based on gate dimensions. She agreed and said she would put the order in. I called May 23 to inquire about size and approx date for installation since this was not communicated to me. I was told that the gate wasn't ordered and they were waiting on the columns to be installed. Again, back at square one. If I had not called in, I would be sitting around waiting with incorrect info. The gentleman in the office agreed to order fence since I was going with standard 12 feet gates. That was on May 23. I was told no more than 4 weeks. Still haven't heard from them. And call again for status update. It's now 5 weeks and they said I'll know one day before the gates arrive. The reason was because one gate is a custom arch. Their lack of commitment and communication is my complaint. To me customer service is everything. To have me put so much energy into every step is exhausting. Not to mention how difficult it is to keep my dogs locked up for 7-8 weeks waiting on gates. I called today to see if they could at least install the standard gate. They prefer to install both together to avoid labor costs on their end. Which I completely understand. However, if your customer has already been waiting for this long, wouldn't you want to accommodate them? Don't get me wrong I understand the whole supply chain shortage. However, this seems to be a complete communication and customer service breakdown. Their work seems great. I just don't like putting this much effort into a company when I am spending over $25k for their business. In addition, why am I calling for updates? you should be proactively in contact with me, the customer. And making every effort to at least install the side gate which you have in stock. read more

I was looking for a company to tear out our old chain link and then put up a 6 foot privacy on the back of our yard and a 6 foot semi private in the front with gates. It took me a few weeks to get all the other quotes and make my decision and they did not pester me with calls every other day like the other companies which was great. They even added suggestions like the large gate have a metal frame and 6x6 posts so it would not sag over time. Gave me an estimated 4-6 weeks from decision/deposit to install, which is understandable as hitting peak season. People at office were great to work with they were able to squeeze me in at about 3 weeks and into my schedule too which is not always easy. Apex completed all in 1 day with a 3 man crew that did fantastic work. Tore out all the old fence and kept the new fence in my property line and connected cleanly to my neighbors fences on each side and left no mess. I could not recommend Apex more highly. Rob was an amazing sales rep - took time to walk me through the best locations for the gates & style options. He was super responsive in working with me to get HOA approval. Even came back out to remeasure everything when the landscaping was complete before the fence install. The installation crew (Enoch was the lead) was timely & professional. They took extra time to clean the concrete powder off of the bottom of the posts & reset the grass they displaced. Wow what a horrible experience...I mentioned I had one particular fence company who dropped the ball and asked Cody to assist me, he stated " thats very unprofessional of them". which I agreed but the funny thing is the APEX Team did the same exact thing. then they passed it off to their tech Bill who wouldnt return any texts or phone calls and declined to show up so 2 weeks of my time is now gone. Tammie was great trying her best to get them to call me. I left my number for Brian the owner to call me back but of course nothing happened. there shouldnt be any stars here but you cannot submit this unless you give them at least 1 star. simple horrible. When I called them out on this they shifted the blame on me for making it difficlult. personally go ahead and blame me if it makes you feel better. Poorly hung gates that don't shut. Large gaps around gates. Gate hardware not properly installed. I could go on and on. Learn from our mistake and DO NOT use Apex. Yep, turns out when I arrived it was Bill, who was non-apologetic (which was all it would have taken - we all have bad days). Seemed to be a real bad sign to start so I ended the meeting. As he was walking off he loudly called me an idiot and 'thanks for making me drive all this way'. This pretty much sums it up and so glad I didn't do business with a company that acts so unprofessionally. The last thing folks need is to deal with others who have anger management issues. They will be your lowest quote but at the cost of a lack of communication. I had to keep checking up on them as if they were my child the entire time. When you accept the contract, someone, from the office is suppose to reach out and tell you a range of how many weeks it will be until install. I was the person who reached out. I continuously contacted the office until they were able to give me a projected week (not even a specific day). I finally got an answer to a projected week of install, a week and a half after I signed the contract. Next, when your projected week arrives, you will need to once again reach out and leave several messages for someone to call you back about what day they actually plan on coming. After calling for the billionth time, you will speak with a receptionist who isn't happy about telling you what day they plan on coming but because you insist she will say (*insert weekday) but remind you that the crews will not work in any sign of weather and therefore it could be any day. Our fence turned out good so far, but a crew did hit a marked line and after several more calls to the company I decided to give up. Your salesperson is just that, once you sign your contract don't expect him to be your point of contact with the company. I am hoping we will not need to call for any warranty issues with the fence because I will likely receive the same treatment I have been receiving. Reasons to go with another company: If you work a job where you cant take multiple days off, don't work from home, or prefer to be communicated with. This company is right for you if you stay at home and are willing to routinely call, leave messages, and still have to call back until you finally get someone to talk to you. Also, if any damage they create you are willing to give up and fix it yourself as you will never hear back from the company. My recommendation: My mother in law went with Bravo and they couldn't have been more professional. Save yourself the headache and just go with Bravo. read more

Absolutely AVOID this company for your fence needs. Their work was sub-standard, and they have never responded to requests to come back out and correct the issues. I have slats that are disfigured, substantially split, completely discolored (from sitting on the ground), and some are even a different wood than ordered. This fence will not last given the materials and craftsmanship. My neighbors have even complained about the shotty work visible from their side of the fence. As a real estate agent, I would NEVER recommend this company to a client. Do yourself a favor...find another company even if it costs a bit more. read more

Apex came out and installed a 8 ft privacy fence with a 12ft wide double gate with custom framing to last. The fence has been up 4 years and looks perfect still. They came back out and put up a 6 ft privacy fence between our houses and again, great job. Thank you for the quality work! read more

They said they would give us the written quote that day, and once we signed the quote, they could install the fence in about 3 weeks. I met with Bill and had him quote a fence for a project that i'm working on. I sent him a photo of the fence style we wanted. They arrived to install the fence on a Friday, which was scheduled and they had loaded the truck with the wrong materials so they went back to the shop without installing the fence. They returned Monday and installed the fence. Once done I asked if they were going to finish the trim as it was in the photo and was told "No". Bill said he did not quote it with trim as in the photo. I had already committed to my client that the trim would be at the top and bottom so I had to find another contractor to install the trim and pay the additional costs. I asked for the owner to contact me and Bill told me the owner had no interest in talking to me about the issue. They wouldn't even work with me on pricing to get it done. read more

Let me begin this largely negative review by saying that the finished work was excellent. Unfortunately, the process getting there was a nightmare. I am the president of our neighborhood HOA, and we had to replace the front fence in our neighborhood. The salesmen met me, gave me a quote, and told me how he would be personally supervising my job. I never saw him again. They were scheduled to show up on Tuesday to do the job. When I got home from work at 4:30PM, they were not there. I called them and the person who schedules their jobs said they had gotten behind and apologized for not calling to let me know. He promised that the job would be completed onThursday. I got home Thursday to find their crew standing in my home's backyard deciding how to take my backyard fence down. I called the salesman and left him a message. When he returned my call, he was incredibly condescending and said "..don't worry, you'll like the finished product." I called the main office and talked to a manager who finally got the job finished the next day. As a final note, to this day, no one ever called to see if I was happy with the job. They just emailed me an invoice. Bottom line is that they are totally unreliable if you have a relatively small job. They will keep pushing you to the back of the line. I had a rough experience with this company initially with the lack of communication within themselves. They came out on the day of the install and had no idea what they were doing. The office and the person who did the fence drawing were not in communication with the crew they sent out to do the job. It took an additional couple of days and my project was delayed. After being so upset and calling the manager at the office they put me through with Dustin Johnson who was the project manager. After so patiently hearing me and all my frustration out, he went above and beyond to do everything possible and make this situation correct for me. He was thoroughly in touch with me and promised he would get the job done on a timely manner so it wouldn't affect me and my schedule any longer. He sent one of his best crews to do the job and they got it done in two days doing such an amazing and clean job. They also offered me a courtesy discount for the time lost initially. The bad: They were slow to schedule even after taking deposit. The guy who did the work was a moron that put all the pickets on crooked. The good: No questions asked, the company made the job right. They got rid of the moron and sent a good crew out to replace EVERY picket. They probably could have only replaced the really crooked ones, but they didn't try to do that.
