I really like this place and so do my two girls! Instructors are patient, knowledgable and always accommodate us when we happen to arrive late. The atmosphere is open & multicultural which is great!

Somehow, a thief broke my lock and took my black backpack. It contained key to my vehicle, some credit cards, and my driver license. A couple guys in the locker room saw me looking around for my backpack told me that a guy was in the locker just a few moments earlier, grabbed the backpack and left. They thought it was odd when they saw me accessing it and was looking for my stuff. They gave a description of the thief. I went to speak to couple of young staff (probably at the most 19-20 years old), and they told me no manager was on site. They said there's nothing they could do about it and suggested that I file a police report and come back the next day to talk to the manager. I called the police non-emergency line and was told to file the police report online, which I did soon as I came home. I blocked and canceled all my cards immediately. However, the thief already made some purchases on a couple of my cards. The next day, Monday, I went back to the gym to talk to the manager, Abby, about the theft incident. Abby told me that she couldn't review video of the premises, and I couldn't review it either. It must be done by corporate and the police when they conduct the investigation. Now, if I am not allowed to review the video clips of the time in question to identify my backpack, how would they know the backpack to pinpoint the thief? For all we know, the guy is probably still roaming around the gym looking for other targets without anyone knowing. This is unacceptable and I am very disappointed. This gym is not a safe place anymore. Just to think that you are a paid member of a place and not protected. A place that at times doesn't have a supervisor or manager on site. Even when the manager is there, she cannot assist members with incidents that happened. It's like you're violated by the theft, and to add insult to the injury, snubbed by the staff at the same time.

After a few meager attempts to get into an exercise routine, it became clear I would need to pay someone to kick my proverbial butt on a regular basis. I was excited to find a gym with such consistently great reviews nearby, and WESTCA absolutely lives up to the hype. I have a decent amount of experience with lifting and resistance training, but I also have some physical limitations, so the semi-private training format has been perfect for me. It provides the structure and accountability I was looking for while still meeting me where I am in terms of experience, fitness level, and physical capability. I've been training with Ivan, who consistently brings good vibes. His instructions are clear, he's quick to adapt exercises around physical limitations when needed, and he progresses training safely and thoughtfully with encouragement along the way. Progress has been steady, and I love feeling stronger and more energetic. As many other reviewers have mentioned, WESTCA is a smaller gym with a welcoming, low-pressure atmosphere. It's the kind of place that makes it easy to stay consistent. If you're looking for a gym, WESTCA is an easy recommendation.

I chose City Sports due to 24 completely going down hill since I used to be with them a decade ago, and Planet Fitness doesn't have a pool. As a swimmer, this is my main form of cardio. Nate was wonderful helping me sign up and answering all of my questions I had. He's excellent with his customer service and making the customer feel heard. With my signing up, I was given a free personal training assessment and trial. Kiran was knowledgeable and impressed with my strength. At the end of the session, I was sat down with Alan, who I am assuming is the personal trainer manager. As somebody who used to sell 30+ cars a month when I was in car sales, I know the first thing about sales is to listen to the customer. Repeatedly, I was cut off from saying anything to Alan about my background, what I wanted and what I needed if I wanted to consider personal training. I barely was able to think about an answer to a question he would ask. I also recognized the typical car sales tactic of, "Which price works best for you?" I still decided to hear him out and see if this aligned with me financially. The prices are quite high, so I apologized as I felt like I was wasting his time then and I understood what it was like being on his side of the desk. He stopped smiling at me and started shuffling the papers. No, "Thank you," "Let me know if anything changes," etc, nothing. Just complete silence and an obvious look of annoyed rejection. I was a bit confused so I said, "Um..." and he dismissed me with a cold, "You're free to go now." I asked if I could take the paper with me with the rates on it and he said I could take a picture of it. Classic car sales maneuver! But this is for personal training, which should be more insistent on the customers needs due to their health. My experience with Alan has ensured I definitely won't be signing up for a personal trainer in the future, probably at any location with City Sports. Overall, the gym is pretty clean and the machines are in working order. The pool is VERY clean as well, which is surprisingly hard to come by in most gyms nowadays. I don't get service inside though and even with the WiFi, I still can't connect to YouTube to do mat Pilates in the aerobics room :( TLDR; Nate is great, Alan needs some training on his customer service and learn how to be a better sales person. Gym is clean but needs help with cell service/WiFi.

He always checks with me before increasing weights and carefully tracks my progress so we can continue improving safely over time. What stood out to me the most was how patient and encouraging he was, especially during my first few sessions when I was tired, emotional, and honestly a little grumpy postpartum. (I have decided to leave the name of the individual that I interacted with tonight out because they…read moreare young and inexperienced) I was at the gym tonight during PEAK hours. I think I got there around 6 PM. There was a line 3 deep waiting for two fly machines. There was an individual that was actually putting their phone down on the fly machine and then walking over to the barbells across the gym, doing a set and then coming back to the fly machine and doing a set. The three of us were looking at each other like does the world revolve around this person? Clearly the answer was no. I asked this person what they were doing...and they said I'm supersetting. So I asked this person, how long were they going to superset? They said, I'll be here a long time. Really? Not during Peak hours. Sorry. When I went to change the weight on the fly machine, they got in my face and "management" and I do use that term loosely, intervened. Rather than telling this person that it was PEAK hours, and there was a line 3 deep waiting for the fly machine, he asked the other person on the fly machine how many sets they had left? Then he turned to me as well as the two other people that were patiently waiting and said..."he's almost done, perhaps you can wait"? So let me paraphrase this for all of you. During PEAK hours when there is a line of paying customers waiting for a machine, it's OK to save it while you go off and do a totally different exercise...again, while we all wait patiently for a customer that has zero respect for their peers. Ok. Got it. To "management"... and you know who you are. You're talking to a guy that's owned two really large software companies. You'd know who they are. I say that not to impress you, but I say that because I have a little experience in "management". It's a really hard job. It requires you to make very tough decisions that are sometimes not favorable. But some people are not cut out for management. I don't think that's you. Next time make the right decision. The tough decision. I think you've got it in you. Besides, I'd rather not head over to Planet Fitness...wink-wink.

I wish this place is 24/7 but they open at 6AM on the weekend and it's never packed to the point where you have to wait, so it's a win-win. Service is impeccable. I love their protein smoothie bar. I have tried their recovery zone and can say I had a relaxing time getting my back and legs massaged while I read my book. It was dim and quiet, but I was by myself. Someone did go into the room to use the massage gun for a few then left. As part of my 2026 goal, I am trying to claw my way back to my old self. I will prioritize my health this year, so I will stop by the recovery room often to unwind in the quiet. One thing I noticed is that you are not supposed to film here but I still see people setting up their tripod and/or flat out filming themselves and their clients which is somewhat annoying, but other than that I have had no complaints here.

The actual facility here is great and the staff is fair- it does seem that a lot of them spend…read moretheir time on their phones and are not super attentive. My main issue with this facility is a specific group of members that have started to come in. There is a large group of people who come in to work with a husband/wife team of independent trainers. The trainers are rude and take up tons of equipment that they do not actively use- like they are trying to reserve it for their future use. When you ask them if you can work in or if they are using something they are rude and look at you like you are insane for even talking to them. This group of people act like they are the only people in the gym and completely lack awareness and any etiquette. They leave weights on machines, don't wipe anything down, and leave huge messes in the restrooms. My other issue is the amount of recording that they do- the gym has now banned the use of free standing tripods (great) but now they are using other pieces of equipment to prop their phones up on and record their workouts. On top of that- there is no regard or awareness for someone in the back of their video. I know that I have been in the back of their recordings, which I do not want to be, and have asked them multiple times to move their phones or not record and they are just rude about it and start talking crap. I have taken these issues to the front desk staff and management. No one does anything about it. I brought it up to the girl at the front desk this past weekend and she basically told me that because they are bringing in so much business they can do what they want. If that is the case then this business clearly does not value all of its members equally.
