The new building has more leaks then a drum hit by buck shot wish I had built it myself

BUYER BEWARE This is very upsetting to have to write a negative review. I try my best to remain positive and uplifting in my life. However, my heart is broken by this company. We signed a contract with Jason at Apex in July 2021 to supply the structure for a 2000 square foot home, RV garage as well as a 2-car garage. We gave them a substantial amount of money/deposit, of the cost of all 3 buildings. We also paid for their architect to make our house plans. In Sept, with signed off on the house plans, then moved on to the garage's plans. It took until Jan 2022 for them to finally send us the drawings for the 2 garages (no electrical or plumbing involved). We had called, texted and emails countless times with very little communication. Their timeline for providing layout plans to foundational is 2 weeks on their paperwork. It took months, and my husband reached out a couple of times per week, to find out the progress. Cannot imagine how things would be if we did not reach out regularly. In Feb 2022 we received the foundational plans for the home. And after all of that time, they were wrong. The house plans and foundation did not match. We were told that all was good, but they did not line up. Jason told us that they would be corrected, and we would hear back in 2 days. Then in May 2022 we asked what was happening, as we still did not receive our plans. Jason told us at that point, that we would receive our buildings in Oct. But, how can that be, when we do not even have any plans, permits, or anything else? We have had no communication since May. So, now in August, over a year after signing our contract, we still have nothing. We have asked for our money back, because we feel that this is taking way too long. Over the last year, we have had empty timelines, promises, and neglect. We have spoken to an attorney, and on their advice have filed a complaint with the Florida State's Attorney's office. They have been great and are working to find a solution. We only want our deposit returned. We are a hardworking Christian family that is concerned that we have been conned by Jason at Apex. The Sheriff's department agrees and is working on this as well. It is with such a heavy heart that I write this. Our dream of building this home for our family is shattered. We want to warn other families about this company so that no one else gets conned. If you have a complaint, contact the Florida State's Attorney's office, as they have a file open already. UPDATE: JUNE 28th: JASON BULLOCK HAS NOT REFUNDED OUR $12,300 DEPOSIT HE PROMISED HE WOULD. He breached his contract with us( I HAVE IT IN MESSAGES) and won't return our money!!!! After reading some of the reviews already posted , it is EXACTLY every excuse Jason has given my husband. We signed a contract in January 2021 and gave over $12,000 deposit. Since OCTOBER 2021 we have been expecting delivery. Jason has given us the run around, avoided emails, phone calls. My husband even rented equipment and hired guys to help on day of delivery and no show, NO CONTACT. Again and again calls and text messages go unanswered When Jason does reply weeks or days later he Claims he will contact for delivery. ( we have many emails and text messages to prove ALL COMMUNICATION) We never here from him AGAIN!!!! . We just want our refund back or our building, but at this point we know he will not deliver our building. Upon legal consultation this is a something ILLEGAL where he is collecting deposits from many customers and not delivering product. Yes COVID caused many issues in the industry, but not to this extent. We have contacted a few other companies and they are 4-6 weeks out. Jason is still in business selling to other individuals while he has many of our deposits and avoiding calls. Hope to hear from you Jason, you know where to reach my husband Tony it myself. I suggest anyone looking to do business with this company exercise EXTREME caution. First off, I didn't want to have to write this review and tried numerous times to resolve the on-going problems with the owners, but have had no luck. They consistently avoid phone calls, emails, texts. If you try calling them at the advertised number, its answered by a 3rd party who screens calls for them. They promise delivery timeframes and then blow right past them with no contact. It can take weeks to receive responses from them, if any at all. They consistently blame it on supply chain issues, but have no problem telling me they will deliver it during a certain time period. I spoke with metal building manufacturers in Adel, GA and they said the supply chain issue has decreased significantly in the past 2 months and there is no reason it should've taken more than 6 months for delivery even during peak times. Current news about the steel industry confirms shorter lead times and dropping prices. The owner, from day 1, told me 12-15 weeks and we are now coming up on 9 months. The owner personally told me in his office he would deliver on time when his competitors wouldn't, that turned out to be completely false. Here is a break out of some of it... May 10th - Placed the order, gave a deposit and was assured by the owner 12-15 weeks delivery. Week 13 (August) - Called the office and was told delivery the beginning of October. October - Spoke to their Project Manager, she said everything was due in to them by the end of October and delivery would be the 1st week of November. 10/19 - Owner texted me suppliers would now deliver 11/17. 11/5 - Owner emails me they had to change suppliers because of lack of material, but tells me the frames are in his shop and currently being cut. He states, "firmly expect and believe that a week of 11/29 delivery is realistic and can be expected". Tells me he will know an on-site delivery date come Monday. I don't hear from him. 12/3- I call and text the owner. He texts back saying he will call me in a bit. Never calls. Later texts saying components will be ready Friday or Monday. No other response from the owner until 12/30 12/10 - Owner's wife emails me, "The 20th is the hard delivery date I was just given this morning." She later clarifies she means the delivery of the components, but everything delivered the 1st week of January on the same load as the frames. 12/14 - Owner's wife emails me, delivery now the 2nd or 3rd week of January because of the frames. Keep in mind on 11/5, the owner told me the frames were in his shop. 12/17 - I email the owner and his wife requesting a phone call. No response. 12/30 - Owner emails, "I will know something more definitive next week on production and delivery date, but you will have your building in January". Never heard from him or his wife again. No delivery date set for January. As of 1/21 - I have sent several emails, text and 2 phone calls with no response. His and his wife's voicemail are full and cannot leave a message. Keep in mind I typically had to send multiple emails, calls and texts before I got a response to any of these. The last time I recall the owner actually talking to me on the phone was back over the summer when the plumber had a question about the slab. I happened to get in touch with an ex customer that told me a story of how Apex never paid their supplier and had a lien placed against them. It makes me wonder if the change in the supplier for my project was actually due to lack of material or the supplier cut them off for not paying their bills. Unfortunately they won't reach out to me or respond so I can ask. You may see positive reviews on here, but many of them seem to be Apex employees, relatives or friends that live near the owner. Property tax records don't show where these people own metal buildings on their properties. Please reach out to me if you are currently having issues with Apex or have in the past. The most awful experience we have EVER had!!!! We are filing a law suit against this company. They told us for months that our building was at their fabrication company. I contacted that company and they just received the PO this week! DO NOT trust them or do business with them. They have blocked us from social media because we continued to ask where our building is. We paid in full! I'm VERY concerned we will never get it. read more

Like the others here it has been zero communications. They have never returned a phone call and it takes multiple emails to get a response. Always the same excuse of material shortages, yet every other metal building company I've contacted since is saying 12-16 weeks and they will put that in writing. I waited a year for nothing and decided to move on and forfeit my deposit. I could only take so many lies. If they email you back they tell you delivery is a couple months away and of course it never comes to be. I was given the impression that they were the manufacture and that is why I went with them. If I could rate zero I would, this company would not refund me our building deposit after my 42 year old husband died suddenly in a plane crash August 2021, I have two minor children to continue to take care off, all I wanted was our deposit back less the plans expenses. I had to abandon our building plans due to my husbands death. I pray they get what comes to them. read more

I wish I could give zero stars absolutely the worst customer service and communication I have ever had with a business. Once they got my deposit communication disappeared and was like pulling teeth to get someone to answer me. I was told 6 weeks for delivery and it was over twice that amount of time with no communication or update without me reaching out. The building arrived and was missing multiple key components and sat in my yard to rust for a month before the right stuff showed up. Buyer beware there are many other company's to look into with better customer service. Do your research. I wish I had. Worst company to deal with, poor professional courtesy. Very nice until they get your deposit, and then will miss every deadline and milestone they promise. I paid extra to expedite and my building was a month late, missing a written deadline for my customer. I asked for my expedite fee back and was ignored. Building came with many pieces missing and not per their engineering approved drawings. My shop had to fix their mistakes and was not reimbursed for our time and material. Currently considering legal action and even that was ignored with a lawyer demand. Their erectors and suppliers even complain about them, saying their product is crap and they don't pay their bills on time. They have so many complaints that BBB has shut down their account! Jason or Callie, if you want to deny this with your response, I'm happy to share all emails, texts and formal communications backing up my claims. Looks like you guys are financially strapped and can'y pay a simple invoice... To ANY potential customer, stay away! You would be better off with another company. The other yelp reviews are correct. It's funny how each one of them are all 1 star and basically say the same thing. read more
