The day I took my first class at Yoga Pod was also the first time I would have been attending an in-person practice since the start of the pandemic. I was incredibly nervous and did not know exactly what to expect as I prepared to walk in the doors of this unfamiliar space. BUT: what I also didn't know, was how quickly this unfamiliar space would transform into a place of comfort, and a space in which I could exist as the most authentic version of myself, without fear of judgement every single time I entered the uplifting and positive environment that is Yoga Pod. From the moment I walked in the doors on that very first day, I was welcomed with open arms, and met with an abundance of kindness from co-owner Rachel Jarboe, that instantly made me feel at home. One of the things that I love the most about Yoga Pod is that no matter who it is that is eagerly waiting to greet you at the front desk, no matter your skill level, what class you are taking that day or which instructor is teaching it -- those feelings of acceptance, love, and bliss are not exclusive to your first time entering the studio. Those feelings are ones that are unwavering and ever-present from the moment you arrive at the studio, until the moment you depart. They are the feelings that have become the reason why find myself practicing at the studio as much as I possibly can in between my busy schedule as a college student. And above all: they are the feelings that constantly make me wonder how I ever went without Yoga Pod in my life. Yoga Pod is not just a yoga studio. Yoga Pod is a community unlike any other I have ever known. It is a community full of people who will fill your days with infectious levels of joy, and who will constantly inspire you to fully embrace the intentional moments of peace/rest/mental clarity that we attempt to create for ourselves when we step onto the mat. This community has helped me to grow in so many ways, and I truly don't think I will ever run out of good things to say about the Yoga Pod community, that I am constantly encouraging everyone around me to become apart of! read more

I love yoga pod! I've been a member/student for 5 years and have fully enjoyed my membership! It is a place where you are greeted with shiny smiles and warmth every single time; The studios are cozy, clean and inviting; bathrooms have lockers and showers for your convenience. The instructors are so knowledgeable and helpful for any level of training you are in, giving step-by-step guidance and hands on help, if you so desire. I love this approach, as it corrects your mistakes on postures right away. I particularly love the heated classes, which makes my body relax and improves my flexibility . I always leave the studio feeling lighter and more relaxed. I 100% recommend yogapod to anyone starting yoga, needing a place to grow your practice or, simply, wanting to learn how to relax. read more

I can't say enough good things about YogaPod and Apex! I've been a member at YogaPod for two years and Apex for one, and they have truly been one of my favorite parts of my time in Gainesville. I love the community, the variety of classes, and how there is always something fun to try, from Flow 2 and Deep Space to Apex 1 and Apex 2. Some of my favorite college memories have been taking classes here with my friends, and it has been the best stress relief throughout school, especially the specialty classes like the Wooli dubstep Apex set, which was so much fun. This studio is amazing. The vibe of the classes, the music, the instructors, and the intensity of the students make this the best reformer pilates class I have ever taken. I couldn't recommend it enough. After being part of this studio for over two years, I can confidently say it was one of the best choices I could have made. The people you meet and the sense of community they create are unmatched. My favorite part about this reformer workout is how challenging it is each time; it never gets easier, but you get stronger both mentally and physically. I started at APEX in October 2024, and it quickly became a staple in my weekly routine. The instructors bring such a positive, encouraging energy that makes every class feel welcoming, especially as a beginner. Classes are beginner-friendly but still remain challenging over time. I love the emphasis on slow and controlled movements that really build strength and body awareness. I would leave each session feeling stronger and more confident in my abilities. Starting Pilates at Apex Studio Pilates was honestly one of the best decisions I made this semester, especially since it was my first time ever trying pilates. I was a little nervous at first, but the instructors were so kind and encouraging that I felt comfortable right away. I've been going to Apex Yoga Pod for reformer Pilates and it's honestly become one of my favorite parts of the week. The instructors are super knowledgeable and do a great job of explaining form so you actually feel the workout where you're supposed to. The classes are challenging but still approachable, whether you're new or more experienced. The studio itself is really clean, calming, and just has a good vibe overall. I cannot say enough good things about Yogapod!!! The staff are all so friendly and made an effort to know my name and speak to me every time I went to the studio. APEX is a great workout with new challenging sequences. I've been working out at APEX for about 6 months and instructors are all incredibly friendly and helpful. Classes and staff at the studio are always upbeat and pleasant. It has significantly strengthened my core and given benefits I haven't noticed from other types of workouts. Love this place! I'd never done high-intensity pilates before this and thanks to their instructors it was easy to learn and keep up in the class. The classes are small so you get good feedback and help from the instructors to help better your form. The overall place is very clean and all the machines are like new! APEX Pilates is not only an intense and amazing workout but the community is extremely friendly and feels like home away from home!
