I absolutely LOVE Yoga Pod! I moved to Gainesville in August, and it has become such an incredible community for me. I'm on the Infinity membership and try to go almost every day. Hope's Apex 2 and Daisy's Sweat Heat & Beatz are two of my favorite hours of the week, but honestly, you can't go wrong with any class. I've loved so many of the instructors and everything from Flow 2 to Yin. Since becoming a member, I've gotten so much stronger. love coming to APEX and I enjoy how easy it is to book on the app. I have a changing work schedule so it's easy to make cancellations on the app as needed. I love the variety of classes and teachers that APEX offers! My favorite is deep space and I wish they offer more variety such as two levels with it. Amazing classes with lists of options for practitioners of all levels. Yoga Pod offers an affordable memberships well as access to classes at two locations. Both locations have great parking and locker rooms with showers. I definitely recommend this yoga studio and visit frequently when I am in Gainesville. read more

Staff is horrible. All so rude and act like they are better than everyone. Also the cancellation fee is absurd. The amount I'm already paying is astronomical just to be charged when I call that I'm sick 5 hours in advance and they said I'm still getting charged or I need a doctors note- what is this school? I joined their studio on the 22nd of January 2025. I'd recently moved to Gainesville 2 months prior and I was looking for a yoga studio. They had a 30 days/ $30 Special so I thought I'll give them a try. I went To class there for two weeks approx. The classes were fun. There were various instructors. They take your keys ( car , house, mail box) in exchange for a locker key . I trusted my keys would be safe there while I attended classes. I was yet to unpack my own locker keys from my boxes. I attended there classes for two weeks. On the last day I attended class there - after I'd showered and went to my car - I noticed the car had been scratched along the right passenger side . I had parked in the first parking spot next to the lamp post and the car is almost brand new and was previously totally unscathed. Upon approaching the car I noticed a scratch along the right passenger side. Someone had driven my car while I was in class and scratched the car, and they were the ones with my car keys. It was at least a $500 damage. I went inside and told them someone scratched the car while I was in your studio for almost 1.5 hours and the yellow/ golden car paint was still on the car . They denied that they had driven the car. The girl at reception said " I didn't scratch your car." I called the police to file a report and the police did not arrive for another 4 hours. And upon arrival took their side. The following day I went back to class and they initially said : " wait there's a spot" . The instructor even offered to give me his spot but after I went to use the bathroom they changed their mind and said you can't attend class after the police incident the previous day. I called the following day to ask for a refund of half the money because I had only attended two weeks of the 4 weeks promised classes but they called back and were incredibly rude . I was having my morning coffee in Starbucks and the manager in the phone was so rude. He said : " you're harassing my staff and if you I go anywhere near my studio or staff they will call the police!! Not at all ZEN!!! I was so so shocked at their response that I called the police immediately! I was at Starbucks drinking coffee! I asked the police what I was supposed to do and that if I could have puzza at the " Da Vinci " pizza place across from there - although frankly after what had happened I would not even touch anything near that place with a barge pole!! The police said : " of course you can eat at the restaurants but don't go to their studio." And that was my experience from yoga pods in SW GAINESVILLE FLORIDA. Im writing this review on the 26th of February 2025. I was not refunded and I obviously didn't go back there. I had moved to Gainesville 2 month prior to this experience in November 2024 and I'm really disappointed by what happened. I've done yoga since the year 2000; 25 year ago . I started in Edinburgh Scotland, when my coach recommended that it would strengthen my running! I've done yoga and Pilates in Miami, salt lake Utah , Orange County California and many hours at home. I'm pretty sure I even attended yoga here at the university of Florida gym years ago. I have thousands of hours of experience. What happens there was disappointing, unprofessional, shocking and unacceptable!! I'm frankly lost for words. They didn't even apologize! I don't have the finances to fix my car. And they were the ones with car my keys. The car was a gift from my father and it was almost brand new. I'm yet to receive the police report. Frankly they should be ashamed! They left a very bad mark on their records, And a very disappointing note in my memoirs!! read more

I really wanted to give APEX and Yoga Pod a five star rating, as I really enjoy the variety of classes that they offer and the skill and expertise of the instructors. However, I have been really off-put by the studio's policies, which I find unfairly draconian and financially predatory. The studio charges a whopping $20 per class no-show fee, a $10 late cancellation fee, a $5 mat rental fee ($3 for member), and $5 towel rental fee ($3 for members). In addition, they zealously enforce their five-minute late policy, making no excuses or exceptions. I recently drove across town to attend one of their evening yoga class, only to be denied entry because I was 6 MINUTES LATE. As a single mother of a three year old who works a demanding full time job, this was NOT the service that I anticipated, especially from a business that claims to embody "empathy," "compassion," and "non-judgment." read more

Unfortunately since the studios have changed the schedule - it has been close to impossible to get to a hot yoga class, especially at the SW location. Difficult to understand how in "wanting" to do better for its members, Yoga Pod just slashed number of classes that were pretty much filled before. Perhaps Yoga Pod prides itself in having waiting lists every day and people having to fight over spots in the class and that despite taking the money from its members every month. How is it that Yoga pod does not provide sufficient opportunities for its members to actually get into the class???? To me its unjustifiable, so I will look to where they take better care of their members. read more

I have been going to Yoga Pod since it opened and it is the most wonderful studio, with extremely caring and engaging teachers! The classes are wonderful, and there is enough of a range (yin, fit, flow, hot) that you can find what you need. I also love the way the teachers often start classes, with some inspirational quote or story. Yoga pod is more than just a place to take an awesome good yoga class -- it's an intentional community filled wiht love and care for everyone who walks in the door. Very nice and welcoming place. I did the "beginner" Flow I class and found it very challenging. Students were encouraged to use props and modify the exercises as needed for their ability. Richard is a knowledable and caring instructor although to be honest, I know him from outside the yoga studio. read more

I am SO bummed I don't live in Gainesville anymore because this place is AWESOME. Little did I know that the owner was in a morning class and made an extra effort to meet everyone new and say hello before practice. The instructors and front desk staff are so friendly and welcoming no matter what level you are. I encourage you to take a trial class (for free) if you're skeptical. They seem to have great student offers and different kinds of classes if you need a variety in your fitness routine. I took the Yoga Fit in the morning and sweat so much- which was exactly what I needed, but they also have more traditional classes as well. read more

Yoga pod literally changed my life for the better.I started my yoga practice here in college with horrible anxiety and no real understanding of the power of yoga and breath work, but after coming here consistently I gained so much mental and physical strength that has empowered me on and off the mat. The instructors go above and beyond to welcome you and make you feel like family. The owners Alex and Rachel 100% will know your name by heart. The classes are more than just a workout-- they're a true meditative, spiritual experience that leaves you feeling refreshed and invigorated. An added plus is their pod fit class and their APEX classes that brought strength to my practice, while also adding variety to my daily routine. At first I thought $99/month was too expensive for yoga, but I came in for a 30 for $30 deal and fell in love. And I discovered it's way cheaper to spend 100/month on yoga than visiting a chiropractor every week for back pain, and this works better! Beginners should start with pod flow 1 and everyone should take yin with Daisy. Thank you yoga pod teachers :) you guys are great! read more

Friendly, professional staff ... VERY COVID conscious. Masks mandatory until on mat w/ state of the art ventilation, lights, heat, humidity and sound systems. Excellent yoga studio. Clean with 2 very nice studios for classes and modern bathrooms. There is a great variety of classes offered at a wide variety of times. The sound system and temperature control is modern and managed well during classes. The teachers are well trained . The staff was friendly and accommodating. I hate working out. I hate being hot. I hate sweat. And somehow, I now do all of those things five times a week, thanks to YogaPod. I've never wanted to be part of a Yoga studio. I thought I could get by with doing yoga classes from videos or just stretching. But my roommate dragged me to a class, and I took part in the 30 for $30 special, where you pay $30 for a month of yoga. When one drop-in class is $20, it's a pretty sweet deal. I went in thinking "this may help me relax but it's not worth my money". I. WAS. WRONG. I fell in love. The variety of courses and the variety of instructors hooked me. Within my 30 days, I had gone 11 times (and I was gone about a week of that time). I was a changed woman, and bit the bullet to buy the subscription. A monthly subscription gets you unlimited access to the studio, along with 10% off merchandise. They have classes for every level: I stick to podFLOW 2 (similar to power yoga; faster movements to get your heart beat up) and podFIT (HIIT), but they have beginners classes, hot yoga, and even classes that focus solely on a few poses. It's so helpful to have someone guide you and help you learn the practice. Word to the wise: almost all classes are heated. Most will be at about 95 degrees (podHOT is at 105). This means you sweat, but it is such a great feeling to leave feeling so cleansed. Listen, I can spend hours telling you that I'm stronger (which I am), more at peace (which I am), and a better human (yup). But it's the community that I care about. The instructors know me. They ask about work. They know when I skip a class. They even said happy birthday to me. I've never felt so connected and supported. They congratulate me when I get a new move or help me when I'm trying something difficult. Bottom line: they care. I used to be someone who hated working out, hated being hot, and hated sweating. I now feel bad if i miss a Tuesday 6:00am podFLOW 2. YogaPod changed my life. read more

I was on a business trip and took a yoga class at yoga pod. The studio is beautiful and easy to find. The instructor was great and the hot class was actually hot. It is hard to find a hot studio that is truly hot and this one is. I left my yoga mat and they actually paid to have it shipped to my house. I would go back anytime!!
