When we met he listened to all my issues, looked at my scans and records and came back to me with his recommendations. He went over them telling me the pros and cons of each one. I asked many questions and he gave me logical answers. But what impressed me was his willingness to listen to my concerns. So Dr Petersen is going to do major surgery on my back in April to try & correct many deficiencies I have. I am confident that my outcome is going to be far better than if I just were to let it be. I'll update this after surgery!!

I was involved in a high impact motorcycle accident and was once in fear I wouldn't be able to go about with my normal day to day activities. Dr.Petersen has been essential in my improvements, and his recommendations, prescriptions and referrals have allowed me to feel 100% better. Whenever I encounter an obstacle due to my several compression fractures his knowledge and understanding is very reassuring. It's nice to see there are still MD's that prioritize their patients needs. I would recommend him to absolutely anyone who wants a Doctor that will share insight and actually diagnoses the problem properly. DR.PETERSEN and his team always treat me with the upmost respect, hospitality, and honesty.

Quick background, my…read morewife (who came with me on the second visit) has over 35 years of professional experience and has dealt with and known hundreds of MD's. Never have I met a doctor that comes up short in so many ways, so numerous it's best to just make a list: She entered the examining room and never acknowledged the presence of my spouse. A head nod would have sufficed, and actually it was rude. She was "treating" a severe situation listed on the "pain" scale (1-10) as a ten. If you would like any compassion or empathy avoid this women. Told the medication she prescribed seems to have no effect, produced a shrug. She doesn't give the patient a chance to ask a question and offers up absolutely no information. The office treatment required five spine injections. Not a word or warning before she started. Would be nice to be told, "you'll feel a stick" or just "here we go". Still no information was forthcoming; injections should work in hours, days, weeks? A simple question about at home treatment, heat vs cold did get an annoyed response. After the injections she walked from the room without a word leaving the door half open. Minutes later we were called and told where to checkout. Guess we were done, huh? She clearly makes it obvious she's uncaring and doesn't give a damn about you and couldn't be more disinterested. BTW, this was the second visit yet she never asked if the first injections worked well or not at all. You would think that information would be of value to her. Visit her and you will get minimal information, no advise on the process, or expectations. What you will get is an attitude that indicates you're bothering her. She has all the warmth of a Pet Rock.

She is the perfect example why Drs should be held more accountable for their behavior and attitude. Discounted my issues as "minor" and treated me as if I shouldn't even be seeing her. When confronted- she kept repeating her "lines" like "I have explained to you... And this is what I can do for you." In a manner that really said in non-verbal gestures "I see so much worse, why are you complaining, your issue isn't important to me." She shoved me off to another Dr who flat out told me she had spoken to him "about me." But when I went to see him she clearly had not. She needs to come down from her ivory tower on mt Olympus and re- read her Hippocratic oath. I'm quite sure she has forgotten the just of it. Honestly I wouldn't waste my time writing about my experience with this Dr and office but when I saw another review that so closely mirrored my experience then I felt compelled to save someone else putting in time with someone like this... Go elsewhere and hope that she gets remedied by her superiors.

In this type of surgery, pain results from the surgical procedure itself, since there is nothing other than debridement, so pain is inversely proportional to skill. I was walking without assistance (cane or crutches) that evening, and other than 2 doses of ibruprofen, I took nothing for pain. Even though I went back to work in 2 days, almost no one noticed anything abnormal. I was walking with a nearly normal gait by 4 days. So I would have to conclude that he did a pretty outstanding job. In addition, he has a great personality, and on top of that, his office staff are terrific. 100% recommendation from me!

A professional physical therapist is required to oversee the protocol and deliver the required therapies. For this I turned to Dr. Spencer Shore at USA Sports Medicine. Dr. Shore was both a cheerleader and coach through the process. It is easy to become discouraged during an extensive therapy engagement. He knew exactly when to reward and when to challenge. Dr Shore was careful to explain the journey. There were no surprises and no questions left unanswered. The therapy was delivered in a clean and orderly environment and the receptionists were always cheerful and did their best at accommodating last minute scheduling needs. I have seen him do wonders for me and my pain that I have had for over 35 years. I was in a car accident when I was 16 years old, back in 1971. At that time most people did not go to the doctors after accidents unless you were seriously injured or bleeding, which I was not. When I was 21 years old I was introduced to a chiropractor and have been treated by different chiropractors ever since; four to seven times per month. I had problems with my neck, shoulders, and lower and upper back. I have had a constant pain in my neck, where my spine meets my neck. On October 2016 I moved to West Palm Beach, on the border of Greenacres and West Palm Beach where I found Dr. Glenn Corkins. The pain on my neck (where my spine meets my neck) is gone after receiving three months of treatments from Dr. Corkins. The pain in my lower and upper back along with my shoulder pain improved and it is almost all gone. Every time I see Dr. Corkins, my pain is less and less. If I continue this way I believe my pain will be gone completely, in a few months. Dr. Corkins is working on strengthening my neck and spine that should then resolve my issues.
