I loved the (bigger) frozen section and the brands they chose to represent as I steer towards just a couple that are clear of preservatives and list out their ingredients and not hidden in the "spices" which can by law contain things other than actual herbs and spices. And, the people in this store and who shop in it too were super nice, because as a white girl who shops often in Indian groceries I sometimes get looks. (I don't blame them, the Indians often get that in return here in the northeast.... grrrr.... but I digress) Anyway, go check it out! This is one of my favorites in the area.

I went to purchase a few things and tried to check out at the self checkout register. So I asked for help. The person running self checkout said the number was accepted, but the display was wrong. (LIE #1) I pointed out that the prices hadn't changed. He said they did. (LIE #2). He then scanned the item with his phone and saw the price plus cost. He then said that the price is requiring a coupon. (LIE #3). I challenged him on that lie and he admitted that the registers have been giving a problem with the price plus numbers (ONLY TRUTH). He then said that nothing can be done about it. No manager or anyone could address the problem. I realize that technical difficulties happen, but repeatedly lying to a customer is hardly a good business practice. I just left everything at the register.

Now with an air of modern legitimately and credit cards cheerfully accepted, Aldi can more than meet the challenge of the ShopRite lurking next door.
