I found the "Dental Care of Wheat Ridge" and met both Dr Daniel Christiansen and Dr. Tina Le Christiansen and liked them immediately. Dr. Tina Le Christiansen met with me, giving me an exam and her assistant shot some x-rays. My issues were extensive and we made plans after getting my teeth cleaned. First thing I noticed was that her technique was almost painless. I was astonished! Dr. Christiansen was gentle and affable, and I felt about as relaxed as I could be during the root canal! I returned a few days later to be fitted with my crown. She performed some calculations with a laser then showed me how they crafted the crowns. It was an interesting process. Soon I was back in the chair with the good doctor making adjustments for my bite. The crown felt good and when I got home, I examined it and all I can say is that my crown is pretty! I love it and my gratitude goes to Dr. Christiansen and the entire staff who assisted...great place. If you're looking for a great dentist and a great experience, this is the place to go..

I chose this place solely based on the close proximity to my house. Best part is that the reviews couldn't be more spot on. They're friendly, they care, and they do a great job. My first visit required me to do some X-Rays in addition to a cleaning and they made the process painless. Yesterday's cleaning went without a hitch, quick and effective. I hate to admit that I am blanking on the name of my dental hygienist, but she's amazing! Dr. Christiansen is personable and polite. There's a reason this practice has been around for as long as it has. Would recommend to anyone on this side of town looking for reliable dental care!

After realizing I was sick with mercury poisoning, I went looking for a mercury safe dentist and…read morecame across Dr. Engler's name. She is an IAOMT general member, which I believe means she has some education about mercury toxicity and practices safe removal of mercury amalgam fillings. She also accepts my insurance, a huge plus. (If you need amalgam removal and you don't have insurance, check out Delta Dental of Colorado. They cover it!) I opted for the Clifford Dental Materials Compatibility blood test to make sure I woudn't have a bad reaction to the new fillings. At $300 it is pricey, but not as pricey as having to repeat the work. A separate breathing source is a good idea during amalgam removal. Dr. Engler has an oxygen tank with the tubes and thingie that goes over your nose. I opted to add in nitrous oxide. Just enough oblivion to take the edge off. Other protections are a rubber dam to isolate the tooth and catch amalgam particles, a big loud vacuum to suck away the toxic vapor, sunglasses, and hearing protection earmuff things like the ones jackhammer operators wear. My clothing was covered head to ankle - not quite toe - in cozy blankets. I brought in my phone in airplane mode and played binaural beats on my headset under the jackhammer-muffs to keep my mind calm. Dr. Engler and her staff were understanding when I told them I might cry because of traumatic dental experiences as a child. (PTSD and other anxiety disorders are common with mercury toxicity.) They were also extremely kind to me when, on my second amalgam removal visit, I was so sick I couldn't think straight and could barely stumble into the dentist chair. Since then, my new composite fillings are settling in fine, my health is much improved, and I have Dr. E to thank for starting me on this journey back to regaining my health and my life. A side note that some may find useful, funny, or cool: Dr. Engler makes no secret of her faith. There are lots of inspirational Bible wall hangings, religious music, pamphlets and such around the office. It is probably because I am a non-Christian from Texas that initially I wondered if this was going to be the right dentist for me. I have had unpleasant experiences with other health practitioners who were that overtly Christian. However, when I met Dr. Engler I was impressed. She understood how sick I was and answered all my questions. Nobody crossed the professional line or pushed it any further than a friendly "God bless". Christ was inclusive, real Christians are inclusive, and Dr. Engler is the real deal. She made a good impression, unlike those pushy Christians in college who were so hot to "save" me. Respect!

My kids love it here too. The entire staff is nice and friendly. Plus, they give the kids xylitol gum after appointments, and the toys they give after the appointments are really good. They don't take dental insurance, but their prices are very low. With our dental insurance option, it's cheaper to just decline dental insurance and pay Dr. Engler out of pocket.

I think Dr. Ganong spent less than a minute in the room during my first 2 check-ins and the concerns I raised were ignored or treated dismissively. I was not given important information when I started, even as basic as how to clean the aligners!!! Months were added to my plan because I had to do "refinements" to try to undo the terrible looking changes he made to my teeth against my wishes and in opposition to what he told me he was doing. He literally lied to my face about how much my upper teeth would be moved forward and down. In appointments, I felt pressured to agree to plans I did not like or understand. He only offered the "refinements" after I wrote an email with my concerns. I guess having something in writing made him pay attention. He didn't respond well, calling me rude and "combative against treatment." Sorry if it's hard to be cheerful when I've not been heard for months and my treatment is taking longer and longer and looked terrible, and the information I'm given is very brief and uninformative. He even complained about me refusing processes that were never presented and weren't mentioned AT ALL during my initial set of aligners. That caught me off guard and seemed unprofessional. Medical professionals should treat patients with respect, not ignore them, or undermine them, and actually spend time at scheduled appointments to answer questions, instead of making it seem like questions are not allowed. Important information should be provided. It seems like he pushes Invisalign to maintain a status as a provider but once you sign the paperwork and the payment, you're just an inconvenience.

I went back after the crown was installed and said that I have extreme pain in that same tooth and they said oh you need a root canal. It does not make sense to me to put in a finished product and then have someone go in there and drill through a finished product to do a root canal. I went and got a root canal after going through a month of tooth pain before and after the ceramic crown was installed. I don't see how they can stay in business with this type of professionalism. On top of all that I had a dental cleaning scheduled a couple of months after this period of time and they said that I told them that I was not coming back when I called them. I was in very bad tooth pain and I said I might not be back. They never gave me a notice or anything that they canceled my appointment and I showed up and they told me my appointment had been canceled with no notice. Patient beware!!!

I kept hopping around because no one seemed to do a great job or the turnover would be so high that I never saw the same person. Enter Dr. Peterson and her amazing staff. I have had some serious work done there and have not had a single issue. I feel better about the health of my teeth than I ever have, in part because I can afford two cleanings a year with their discount program. They have an endodontist in the same building which is convenient for people like me, who need annual root canals, not to mention the staff is truly the most enjoyable of any doctors office I have ever been too. And it's genuine- you can tell everyone there wants to help. If you don't believe me- I drive from Parker to Wheat Ridge to see them!

I ended up moving several hours away from the Metro area and had to change dentists. He discovered that 2 of the 8 fillings she performed were bad - 1 fell out and the other still had a partial cavity underneath it. When I asked him whether he thought I needed those fillings, he was extremely diplomatic and said his software wasn't the same so he couldn't zoom in as much and that some dentists were more conservative than others. I think that was his professional way of not throwing her under the bus (what did he have to lose by agreeing that there were cavities that indeed needed fillings immediately). Although she fixed both for free, I now have pain in my teeth frequently - not just those that had to be repaired but others as well. Again, no cavities in my adult life discovered by other dentists before or after her. It is true that her staff is nice and she has a fancy office, but I had believed that dentists were medical professionals that look out for your health and wellbeing first rather than financial gains by doing unnecessary procedures. I now have an intense fear and distrust of all dentists and cannot iterate strongly how much I believe that she falsely diagnoses cavities and then performs shoddy work resulting in lifelong pain. I wish I would have gotten a second opinion before accepting her diagnosis.
