I wasn't sure if it was open because the window shades were all pulled down and I couldn't see inside- but the door opened upon pulling and happy faces turned to say hello when I stepped inside. I walked in on a Friday afternoon around 12pm wondering if I could get a pedicure in the next couple hours. After some back and forth about availability, we landed in a time frame we could both work with in 45min. I didn't ask how long the pedicure would be, but even if it was an hour with drying time, that worked for me. They took my first name and phone number, and I returned on time and they remembered my name when I came in the door. I was greeted by a fluffy dog- I assume a fixture and companion for the salon as it had its own little cute uniform along with another dog I saw later. So if you like dogs- they are cute- may not want to be touched, but cute. The pedicure itself was detailed & thorough. Took off old polish, used a tool when the polish was too difficult, cleaned up hangnails, cut away extra skin from an old shoe blister. Very mild exfoliation- not much callus treatment or scrubbing, but maybe that can be added or requested. A hot stone massage and light foot stretch and hot towel wrap with lotions all the way up the calves. Finish with a pretreatment and polish, and I was basically done in 30min, and the Opi Polish had a nice dry time in about 10min after that. I hadn't even asked what the total was, but when I said I was paying in cash and it came back at $30, I felt like it was a total deal for everything I received and considering they could get me in within the window I had. read more

If you're looking for a no frills place with super friendly and knowledgeable techs who know what they're doing and don't charge an arm and a leg, this is your spot! You would never know it was there tucked in a little shopping center. Bee did a GREAT job on my nails and I can't wait to see what she does next time! Of note- she cleaned my nails and didn't let me leave with glue under them; she checked the sizes matched on the extensions; she helped me color match and figure out how to get close to the pictures I brought her. LOVED the puppies hanging out there always a good vibe in my book. Do you want beautiful nails? Go to apogee. I've been going here for almost a year and a half and I have always loved their work. There was a time where I could never get an appointment! That's how great they are - almost harder than getting a resy at carbone lol. I always get a gel mani and reg pedi every 3 weeks like clockwork. I just make my next appointment before I leave every time. The hot stones during pedi, shoulder rubs after mani, and great throwback tunes are a few extra things that make them special and make me look forward to coming! read more

They do a good job on my nails but the atmosphere is kinda of strange. They are not particularly friendly but not rude either. Just like you're there and the operators are someone who's there to do a job. The two dogs in residence seems to run the show. I went twice just to see if the first time was a fluke... but it wasn't. I also didn't notice any licensure posted and furthermore while I noticed a box of pedicure tub liners in the back... they don't seem to use them? I'm sure their good people just not warm and fuzzy to me. read more

Two weeks later and still going strong. Loved my pedicure and gel manicure. You also get a good shoulder rub at the end of your service. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. The two fur babies in the salon were so cute and full of character. I'm a dog lover so I may be a little biased here. Definitely recommend and I will definitely be returning. read more

Bee (like "Bumblebee") was super efficient and did my no chip beautifully! I came in out of town from Chicago and had chipped my big toe nail and no chip. She made it look pretty even and like a normal nail! She even gave me a recommendation to add more color to what I originally chose. Added bonus - the dogs they have there are so well behaved and beautiful! When I come back, ill be coming here. read more

I got my acrylics with Bea for about a year and loved her and my nails so much that I always gave her a 50% tip. But, the last three (3) times I got my fills, I had a nail break within 1-3 days. I texted Bea to tell her it happened AGAIN and I was out of town and unable to go in for repair. I expected that I would be offered a partial discount on next service or partial refund, which I would have declined. Instead, she told me to go pay someone in another state to fix her work and then blocked my phone number. This is not how a customer who tips 50% and leaves great reviews should be treated. I stayed despite the problems, trusting the issue would be corrected. It just kept getting worse. I don't expect anyone to see this review, as she told me she pays a service to remove bad reviews. This salon may be a good fit for mani/pedis, but avoid for acrylics. And please, don't over tip your tech.... they do not appreciate your hard earned money. Good luck :) read more

Good affordable shop. Nice hot stone massage included in the basic pedicure. Decent pedicure, but not a good strong massage. I like nail art and they were able to copy what I showed them (dragonfly), but that was all, no extra flourishes or touches. read more

Apogee Nails has been my go-to nail salon in the area for the past few years. Their prices are lower than any other salon in the area that I have found and they do an amazing job every time. I always get a basic pedi ($25 I believe) which includes hot stones. Their dip mani ($35 I believe) lasts me literally a month with no lifting or chipping like what happens when I get dip done at other salons. The only reason I have to take Apogee's dip off is due to my nails growing out too much. But I'm sure they would easily last longer than a month with no lifting or chipping whatsoever. Also I love dogs so their two cuties are an added bonus to the salon. read more

Please do not come here! My boyfriend and I came here to get a pedicure and it was a nightmare.Firstly, they did not have liners in the tubs and I had to request them. Once the service started, we noticed that they were scrubbing our feet with pads that were already in the cabinet, and then they put them back into the cabinet once they were done with our feet. My boyfriend had a grater used on him , they rinsed it off in the water from his feet, and then put it back into the cabinet. They used stones on us and i hope that those were cleaned before but I seriously doubt it! Also, there were 2 dogs in there! The lady pet the dog, and then went back to touching my feet. There are much better places to go in Fort Lauderdale. They said it was $25 each but charged us $60. Stay away!! read more

I just moved to East Ft Lauderdale and had to find a new nail salon. I waited until my second visit to leave my review I wanted to make sure things were consistent . When calling to make my first appointment they could not have been nicer or more accommodating! Not a professional place at all. I had made an appointment for pedicure and dip manicure. The technician doing my pedicure did not cut my cuticles or file my nails. Everything felt rushed, not relaxing at all. Another technician did my dip manicure, same thing just rushing and didn't do as I had told her I would like my nails done and cut my finger. And there was no extra safety measures in regards to COVID.Nightmare!!Never going back!!! read more

So lucky I get to work across the street from Apogee where everything is done with a smile. All of their technicians are super friendly, accommodating and talented. I have been 2x so far and am very impressed at their willingness to make me comfortable and happy. Not to mention both my gel mani & pedi were PERFECT each time. I like to come on my lunch break and really appreciate that they go out of their way to get everything done within an hour without compromising the quality of their work. They were recommended to me by a co-worker and I too have recommended them to others as well. The salon itself is very clean and they definitely sanitize all of their instruments well. The decor is modern and clean. The prices are reasonable (mid-range). They even provide water or tea which is great on a hot day! read more

This place always does an amazing job with my nails but if you are afraid of dogs or are not an animal person for some reason I do not recommend it. They do have two adorable pups that roam around and they treat them like family so they will sit in chairs next to you and possibly bark at you as you enter. They finish every manicure with a subtle shoulder massage. They try and be pretty accommodating with walk ins. read more

I've been coming to Apogee Nails & Spa for the last four years. I highly recommended booking with Quinn her eye to detail and professionalism is hard to find in nail salons these days. They do take walk-in clients when they can but right now due to Covid-19 you need to book in advance. Which I recommend anyway as they are usually really busy. Walked in on a Sunday and was taken right away. Quinn was very friendly and was very meticulous on my nails. She did a fantastic job. My pedicure was done by someone else and they did a great job too. The polish has remained in tact for over a week! Yes there are hot stones and towels but other than that it is your standard nail salon pedicure. I did like the shoulder massage as an added perk! The salon itself was a tad dated and needed some polishing. I would return, but I would make an apt next time because they get very busy while I was there. read more

This is THE BEST nail salon I have been to in south Florida. I have high expectations when paying for a dip manicure. Bee always did a perfect job on my nails, and never cut me with the buzzy tool. They have their dogs in the salon but they are friendly dogs. Never had any issues with them. They are usually quite busy so call ahead and make an appointment. Quality nails for good prices. The nail shaping and cuticle work were sloppy, and the overall results did not reflect the price we paid. I've included photos of the cuts because they show what happened. I understand that mistakes can happen, but rushing clients to the point of causing injuries is unacceptable. Based on this experience, I can't recommend this salon.

I came in for my usual gel manicure over my natural nails and a pedicure. My natural nails were very long, and growing them out is important to me. Although my pedicure looked nice, the technician made several comments throughout the appointment that made me uncomfortable. She commented on how "skinny" I was, told me my nails were "dirty" and then said, "You're dirty," and later told me I was "up there in age." When I told her I'm 26, she doubled down. Individually these might be brushed off as jokes, but repeated unsolicited comments about my body, cleanliness, and age felt unnecessary and uncomfortable. The bigger issue happened during my manicure. I looked down and realized she had cut ALL of the natural nails on my left hand extremely short without asking me. Thankfully, I noticed before she did the same to my right hand. I immediately stopped the service and asked for someone else to finish. Another technician was very nice and made the finished manicure look beautiful, but extensions had to be added to my entire left hand because my natural nails were already gone. I specifically grow my natural nails because I don't like the thicker feeling of extensions, so I now have one hand with extensions and one with my natural nails. During the repair, two of my fingers were also filed into the skin enough to bleed. What disappointed me most was that the original technician never apologized or even acknowledged what happened. I was told it was a "miscommunication," but I never asked for my long natural nails to be cut off. I was also told I should come every 2-2.5 weeks instead of every 3-4 weeks so something like this wouldn't happen again, which I genuinely don't understand. The frequency of my appointments has nothing to do with cutting someone's nails without confirming first. I appreciate the staff members who stepped in and made my nails look good afterward, but fixing the appearance doesn't undo losing five natural nails I spent months growing. After being a customer for approximately five years, I expected the situation to be handled very differently. Unfortunately, between the uncomfortable comments, my natural nails being cut without permission, being cut during the repair, and the lack of an apology, I left extremely disappointed.
