When I noticed two of my legacy HP Pavilion desktop computers, Pav-1 a high capacity custom order…read morePC for computer aided drafting CAD and Pav-2 a Best Buy store-purchase PC for a regular office use, showing occasional data loss, I took both towers to Apollo Computers, Glasgow, KY. I requested the order taking personnel to inform me before replacing any component part. But they didn't. When they called me for pickup the total cost was $471.92 without telling me what had been done. At pickup I could have but did not open any of the towers because nothing could be changed at that point as they were already done. An inspection back home office found both computers worked OK as usual, but Apollo had replaced each hard drive from Hitachi HDD 1TB and 750 GB memory, respectively, with Bliksem SSD 238GB memory on them that are found to be sold at Amazon for $17.00 each. Without notifying the computer owner, they had selected the cheap Chinese Bliksem memory that shrinked the memory size of both tremendously and put a limit on CAD operation! It was quite shocking to find it. After a year passing, now one of the towers fails to start. It is one of my biggest regrets.

A friend's son runs a computer and cell phone service in Glasgow. I called him with questions about…read moremy iPhone and he referred me to Tech Connection on Scottsville Road, since it's in Bowling Green rather than me having to drive all the way to Glasgow. I knew Sean would not refer me to someone who didn't trust and both times I've been in there. They have been courteous, efficient, and helpful. The first time, I was looking at almost $100 for a new cell phone battery, but they cleaned the port and worked on the phone a little to try and carry me over since I wasn't able to afford that at that time. Fast forward six weeks and I was still limping along with the phone although it did need the battery. I took it in today and they replaced it while I waited. I noticed they had a very steady stream of customers in and out. Jose waited on me the first time and Nino waited on me this time. Both of them are knowledgeable, friendly, and have very good interpersonal skills, I especially noticed today that Nino was dealing with a challenging customer who had limited English, and although I didn't know the entire story, he was firm but very polite with the gentleman the entire time. They also cleaned my phone up and made sure it was shiny and the port was clean when I got it back.
