On both occasions, I was stunned at the generous amount of food offered by the church (hand made by their members) that they provide for the blood donors. Tonight, after I donated my 31st pint, there was a Butternut Squash Soup and a really great cup of chili offered. I'm telling you, the chili was excellent- three kinds of beans, corn, and a pretty zippy tomato base. And it was served hot too! But wait there's more! Four kinds of sandwiches served on four types of bread with cheese, lettuce and tomato. It was like ordering at a diner! God bless these generous folks for recognizing the blood donors.

There's five large Stained glass windows with Jesus in the center. Very spiritual. I find the masses there to be very inspiring and I'll be honest, I should go more often. Nice people, nice priests. It's a very enjoyable experience to go there. The CCD program has been good for my kids and their private school is highly rated.
