At her early age of 5, I did not expect for her reading level to develop so quickly. Ms. Nina, as well as her instructors have given her the tools necessary to succeed at reading. After being at KUMON for only a month, my daughter surprised me in how well she captured the skill of reading and I am happily and anxiously waiting for more surprises.

My son who first started there is now so advanced he helps the teachers by assisting the slower students. He has over 90% on all his grades and has more self confidence than ever before. My youngest begged us to let him go to Kumon though he just started we can see an improvement already, its slow but its there. My middle son goes just for the summer he is unhappy about the extra work but his gains are worth headache he gives me. just for background,I am hispanic and a currently attending college to finish my degree, so believe me when I say I wish my parents had been able to afford this type of program when I was young. I know as parents we want to help our children but finding the right program for the right child is hard. Kumon does make students work and parents will have to do their share as well, but when your child comes home with a GIANT grin just to tell you about their report card its all worth it. When they are proud of their academic work instead of toys then you know as a parent you did something right.

My daughter has been attending this daycare facility since she was 6 weeks old and she is now 3…read moreyears old. Josie, the director of the center, is amazing. She truly is there for the children and does a wonderful job with them. She takes all concerns and questions you have and answers them as quickly as possible. She is very sincere in helping you if you have any concerns to address. I love that she is there when I drop my child off at 6:45am and is still there at 5-5:30 when I pick her up. This tells me she is very committed to her job and knows what's going on at the center at all times. The facility has cameras in each of the classrooms. If there was ever a concern Josie was willing to show me the cameras which really helped give me piece of mind. They also fill out incident reports if anything happens. I love how the daycare is open from 6am-7pm even though I never keep my child there for those hours. Its nice to know that if something comes up they will be open to care for her. I also like that they serve breakfast, lunch and dinner to the kids. Sometimes I have to work until 5-5:30 and its nice to know my child isn't starving when I pick her up. The teachers at the center are awesome! In the baby room, Nora and Laura care for those littles as if they are their own. They really did a great job of helping me out with any questions I had. As a new mom, I wasn't always sure if I was doing things correctly and they always lent out advice to help. Nora speaks Spanish to the kids which I really liked. They were really helpful in teaching my child to eat solid food and worked with her on crawling and walking. Once my little hit the toddler room they worked on potty training with her. I was doing it at home as well and so the consistency of having training at home and at the daycare helped to potty train her very quickly. Mary, the teacher in the toddler class, is AMAZING. She is really good with the children and does a lot of different projects with them. She is also very personable and easy to talk to. Any time I have a question about my daughter she is very honest and gives good advice. Overall, I feel safe and confident that my child is being cared for while I am at work. Of course, biting and accidents happen, but the way the teachers handle it gives me piece of mind that if she does get hurt, they take care of her as I would. My child LOVES going to "school" and often isn't quite ready to leave when I pick her up. This helps to reassure me that she is being taken care of and loves the staff at this facility.

I will…read morehave to say as I do love South; Central bets it all because: Students here actually talk to you, and are sociable than the students at South. It is fairly easy to find friends here because people here are a lot more open. They make the college experience enjoyable, instead of feeling like you are just going to school for an education and that's it. You can find some life-long friends here because everyone doesn't have a high school friend that follow you around--people actually want to find different people who share the same interests as you. The professors here are a lot better than South (I'm not saying South doesn't have good professors) I've taken many classes here that ratemyprofessor.com reviews were greater. The student center is actually revolved around the students and their needs. They have a huge cafeteria that serves fast food and homemade food. The bookstore is Barnes and Noble and Starbucks--usually they have textbooks that South or North campus doesn't have. There's a certain area with lounge chairs, and a huge flat screen tv specifically for relaxing and getting your mind off of your classes. They have a lot more clubs here that fits any interest you may have. The gym is huge and has a mildew smell to it--I don't know maybe because it its an old building or so. They have recreational sports where you can meet new people and revolved around having fun. Also, cardio and weight rooms for exercise This campus has so many resources that South doesn't have. It is because this was the first campus built because this is the Main campus.

It is clear to me now how in the dark she is, because I have had a one-on-one sit down with my Phase I instructor, I have had a group sit down with my Phase I instructor, and I also had a personal sit down with the Director of the school herself. I expressed my concerns many times over, sadly the owner lacks communication with her faculty and staff. I hope the school seeks to improve their reports so that in the future, Carolyn may have a productive discussion with the next unhappy student. Carolyn claims to 'take great pride in providing students with the best training possible for them to ace their state exams and obtain their license' yet their pride was nowhere to be found when my LEFT handed shears, which were specifically ordered for me, were there one day, and gone the next. Not only was I missing promised implements personally, but my whole class, and the class before us, were missing the cases to our Chi sponsored Phase II kits. These materials are very much indeed in your and the school's control. I am all for structure and abiding by a dress code, but if it is truly there to protect me, why was I put in a position to buy a pair of socks, or go home? I knew missing a day meant missing hours, but I would much rather give up 5 hours than $5. I knew where my hours went, but I could not say the same about my money. I understand the Director's intentions were to monitor students' dress code, but to press on students like a warden presses on prisoners is completely out of line.
