This business has the worst customer service of any I have ever used in my life. Owner is rude and…read moreunprofessional. Lied to us several times over the phone and then never showed up. Do yourself a favor and use anyone else...

Where do I begin? For starters, this is the first review I've ever written (Yelp, Google, etc.), if…read morethat tells you anything about how passionate I am about writing this review. Dealing with this vendor for my wedding was probably the worst customer service experience I've ever had. Let's highlight all the issues: - The contract contained no less than nine grammatical and spelling errors. The contract was also in an editable Microsoft Word file, which is obvious poor legal practice. I let this go because I thought, "Well, it's a small business in a small town, I don't expect top-notch writing skills or legal diligence." Shame on me for not recognizing this as a massive red flag. - To this day I don't have a full name of anyone employed with the company. For any phone calls or emails conducted, I was given the first names only of two highly unqualified, incompetent employees. - 19 days before my wedding I learned that only two of the four 14-passenger vehicles contracted may be available for my wedding day due to mechanical issues, which was discovered over a phone call that I MADE TO THEM, rather than them contacting me. Who knows when I would have learned of this had I not made that call. This forced me to scramble to find another vendor to cover for their shortfall with 2.5 weeks until my wedding. We were lucky to find another vendor with two available vans and EXCEPTIONAL customer service, the exact opposite of this company. - No alternative options were presented to make up for the lack of the other two vehicles, which is a phrase stated in the contract. Three times in the next three days I was told by the two unqualified employees mentioned above that I would be receiving phone calls for updates on the status of the vehicles. By 5:00PM each of those days, I had not received a phone call. Thus, AGAIN, I was forced to reach out to them each of those days to get an update. No updates were ever provided other than meaningless comments such as "I'd have to ask my manager" or "We're not sure if the vehicles will be fixed in time, but we'll give you a call tomorrow with an update." A continuous loop of nothing. - When I asked to speak to a manager for more information, I was told by one of the employees that they were not available, nor were they allowed to provide any phone number of their manager(s). Not only horrible customer service, but also very suspicious. They also only have one phone number that is reachable, which is the dispatch number that is operated by the two unqualified employees. And the number listed on their website is incorrect by one digit. - NEVER ONCE since the contract was signed did I receive a phone call from anyone at the company. Every bit of communication was initiated by me. Throughout the entire process they showed zero interest in providing even an average level of customer service. - It has come to my attention that this company is already banned from at least one venue in the High Country area due to issues several years ago. It is likely they will be banned from my wedding venue as well. - AND TO TOP IT OFF: Two days before my wedding, I provided a pickup/drop off schedule to them for transportation to and from the venue. They replied to that email stating they could not fulfill the return schedule because I had their vans completing two rounds of drop offs, with the second round picking up guests around midnight, and our contract stated a last call of 11:00PM (I should mention their contract did not define what "last call" meant). I replied that if their vans could just do the first round of drop offs, we could manage the remainder of the transportation with our other vendor. In that email I also provided an updated RETURN SCHEDULE (yes, it was labeled) with the second round of drop offs removed. They acknowledged. At the end of my wedding, their vans were not present at the venue, thus forcing us to find rides for ~30 people. Their defense was that I stated in the email that I only needed them to do the first round of drop offs, which they incorrectly interpreted to mean they only needed to provide transportation to the event. This defense may have been somewhat legit had I not provided an updated RETURN SCHEDULE in that email, which clearly showed we needed transportation at the end of the night. They also tried to make a weak argument that even my updated return schedule was in violation of the contract because I had a 11:15PM departure time from the venue, which was an "unofficial" buffer to allow guests 15 minutes after the event to gather their belongings and board the vans. I did not expect them to be petty about the specific time to board the vehicles. Nonetheless, even if they had provided transportation after my event ended, I still would have given a horrible review for their sloppiness, disorganization, lack of care, lack of communication, etc. throughout the process. This company should be put out of business. DO NOT HIRE THEM FOR ANY EVENT.

I needed to get her to a bus station over an hour away from her location so she could make it back home to California. I first tried the usual ride hailing apps but found them to be unpredictable in fulfilling rides from that remote location which concerned me due to the necessity to be on schedule to make connections. I then turned to Yelp and used the "request quote" option to put the ride details out for bid. With a stroke of luck, Carolina Penn Transportation's owners Darrell & Tricia messaged me and offered a very competitive bid definitely inline with the competition. Darrell, in particular, stayed especially communicative throughout the process which gave me assurance. When the departure date arrived, Darrell again confirmed in the morning and his amazing driver, Tommy, arrived a half hour early in a very nice SUV so he could confirm the pickup location. Once confirmed, he moved to wait offsite stating to take your time and call him when ready. The ride was smooth and safe and upon arrival at the destination Tommy ensured my family member had all she needed and ensured her safety which I truly appreciated. I can't recommend this business enough and would recommend anyone who needs professional, reliable and family friendly transportation to give them a try! Thanks again Darrell and Tommy!

The second order was for a dining room table and chair set. I scheduled my delivery for a day and time that would work for me and hired some people to help move out old and make sure new would be arrange properly. I hired them to be here one hour before the earliest delivery time. Guess who showed up first, the delivery driver, two hours early, with only one person. The service was to be a two person crew and was to be, I thought, a room of choice, but the main delivery company Pilot said threshold delivery, meaning delivered inside of the main door, not blocking anything, but not necessarily in the best spot. Not to big of a deal. I had everything arranged and was waiting on the people I hired to help when the delivery driver showed up. I said to him, "You're about two hours early aren't you?", and he said no as he fumbled with his papers. I told him he was and explained what was going on. I asked if he had someone with him as I was not able to help him and he said no but all of the furniture was on one pallet and he had a pallet jack to unload it He just stood there and looked at me. I felt frustrated, upset, and had lost the excitement of being able to finish the first room in my new house. I asked how he was going to get it in the house and he said he was to just unload it. It was not room of choice, it was not even threshold, it was just dump and go. I did not want to try to reschedule for another day so I told him to just unload it on the carport. Two hours early may seem like a small thing. Only one man may seem like a small thing. When you are trying to fit several things in one day, one schedule, all it takes is an issue like this to make the rest of the day a hectic mess. Just as the furniture being on the carport when the drape hanger arrived caused them to be delayed by 1.5 hours. They needed the flat spot to cut and trim plus iron before bringing in to hang. The issue here did not cost money. Just show up when you are supposed to. Do what you are asked. And from now on, Tri-City Logistics, stay away from my furniture! As this review is only about the dining room furniture I only discuss it. The star rating is based on two deliveries, the dining room and bedroom furniture which was a disaster as well.
