One of the nice things about Apple stores is that the consistency across the chains. Parking is available all around the Polo Park mall. The store is near the middle, on the ground floor. It's pretty neat how the staff use iPhones to scan whatever you're buying, so you don't even need a cash register. As for the products, I find their accessories selection isn't the world's greatest, but they do have almost everything you would ever need. As for pricing, they aren't as cheap as Amazon, but they're surprisingly less than Best Buy or Future Shop. read more

I went to Apple Polo Park to get a new iPhone and decided to do a Trade-In with my old device to get some credits for the new one. I thought I was very well and fast attended. But now I realized that everything was such a rush, and in the end, I left the store very unhappy with my situation. I had to erase my old device before completing the purchase, and the representative was like, now do this, do this, just going with the flow and not explaining the consequences of each step on this whole process. They checked I had a backup, and it was it. And I didn't question because, hey, it's Apple, I have had iPhones for almost 10 years and I never had problems with their solutions or programs, they know what they're doing. I guess not so much. When trying to activate the new phone I was locked out of my Apple ID because I couldn't pass the Two Factor Authentication. I know I'm responsible for my settings, but I think the representative should ask, do you have Two Factor Authentication? Do you know your Apple ID password? Do you know your trusted phone number? Not only check if you have a backup but what is the matter of having a backup if you can't access it? At the store, looking I was locked out of my Apple ID, the representative started a recovery process, but they didn't explain to me what it was, what would be the options for it, and especially, how long the recovery process would take. They didn't mention it at all and was fully sure that I would be able to change my trusted number in a few hours, in 24 hours at max. Again, everything was in a rush, do this, type this... Explaining nothing. Turns out that the recovery process would take SEVEN DAYS. Seven days without my contacts, photos, apple music, apps subscriptions, passwords on iCloud keychain, reminders, notes, files on the iCloud drive, passes on my wallet... And I was thinking, I was inside an Apple Store, in front of a Genius Bar, and no one there could help me to get access to my account. I was in there in person, in color, live, with my ID, with access to mail, to the credit card I use on my App Store, and all other information only I could present, to prove that I'm the owner of my Apple ID, but there was no such option for me to do it there. Why do we only have the option to do it online? I called Apple to solve it, to rush this process, and they said that this waiting was Apple Standards. Those are very poor standards, I'm sorry. (Actually, Apple is the one that should be sorry). Can you imagine being seven days being unable to work? Unable to listen to your favorite music, missing events, reminders... How can Apple let their customers without a phone for seven days, in 2022? And we pay for iCloud, but we don't have the option to access it whenever we want, or don't have priority support. I was very unpleased with this whole experience, how rushed it was, and how not thinking it was. I surely would not recommend this Apple Store. read more

While in town for the holidays I decided to come her win the morning to get an appointment for some technical advice concerning an issue for my iPhone 5S. I was really impressed to see at 9:00 AM that I could get a same day appointment. In Montreal this is pretty much unheard of! Made the appointment for 3:00 PM and came back. When I arrived back in the afternoon the store was a sea of people. They asked me to head to the genius bar where there were 4 - 5 other people with unhappy looking faces seeking technical help. Cue up 3:15 PM......still waiting! Just around 3:20 PM I had a nice individual come thanking me for being patient and asked me about my issue. This review was going to be a 1 out of 5 stars but her professionalism and help to solve my issue was exactly what I was looking for! A great job in keeping me an Apple fan! Before I had a Samsung S3 and had just horrible service from Samsung Canada! Say what you want about Android vs. Apple I know what I will keep using! Thanks! read more

I've been to this store 3 times now. I've only managed to buy something once. Both other times I've walked out after running out of patience. What is with the floor staff being all chatty with each other or hanging out with buddies whilst ignoring potential paying customers? While I have purchased and enjoyed numerous Apple products over the years I won't be going back to Apple Polo Park anytime soon. read more

TL;DR: They broke numerous components of my MacBook Pro during a simple battery replacement and have refused to fix it. Very poor customer service, extremely rude and incompetent. If anything goes wrong with your device, they will claim it's user error and talk down to you before they even look at your device. Do not bring your devices to this store for repairs, they are extremely incompetent. I have had numerous poor experiences with this store. They have repeatedly damaged my laptop while doing simple service repairs such as battery replacements, and then blamed me for the damage when I brought it up to them and refused to fix it. A simple battery replacement resulted in over a year in return visits, with damage to my USB ports (now non-functional), and the battery issues still not resolved. They did not keep proper documentation on any of the visits, and their store managers, and owners will not return calls. Bonus points, on my most recent visit, one of the "geniuses" claimed that a lady's iPhone 7 battery swelled and burst because she charged it for too long... instead of you know, the fact that the iPhone 7 had numerous battery issues resulting in that. Bought a used Macbook Pro, this apple store agreed to do a full diagnostic on it to make sure that it was good to go before I bought it. Made sure that I specifically asked them to check the battery, they said everything was perfect. What a surprise, it wasn't. Had to pay another $200 to replace the battery. They said they'd do it, when I picked it up, they said everything was perfectly fine, and that I had a 1 year warranty for the new battery (this wasn't true, it was apparently 90 days). Get home, battery won't charge, computer is overheating, slow performance, battery reads either X or 0%. Dies sporadically. Take it back, they claim that they did nothing wrong, and that it must be my charger cables, or energy surges in my home. Test cables, they're fine because they're new. I have surge protectors on all my outlets at home. They still insist it's my fault. Turns out that while they were putting the battery in, they messed up and disconnected a bunch of stuff near the lower left side, so even the battery indication lights (that worked before the replacement) didn't work. They said they fixed it, I made them run the diagnostics in store, doesn't work. They claim that it's my fault again, and claim it's my charger cable. They test it (again) it's fine. They claim I'm lying and must use different cables that are off brand at home. Great service. They run another diagnostic on my new $200 battery they just put in, it's critical and needs to be replaced. They claim it was a lemon, and was causing all the problems. They replace it and do all the checks, say it's fine. Bring it home, it's not. Battery can't hold charge, dies after less than 4 hours, even if computer is asleep or off. Have no time for this. Phone apple store, tell them that I'm about to go into exams, and then will be posted away all summer. I need my computer, and ask if I can bring it in for service after I get back at the end of September. They say that's perfectly fine, and I'll still be covered. Get back from my posting, make appointment online. Get confirmation phone call 20 minutes before my appointment. Go to store, they don't have my appointment on record. Tell me to make another one. Wait almost 2 hours in store. Told that my battery warranty (from the first lemon battery they sold me) was expired a year ago. They claim they have no record of any of the visits I had made between now and then. Claim I have to buy a new battery and pay for service. Say they have no record of the phone call where I was told that I would be covered until I returned in September. When I told them what had happened since my first battery, and even point out employees who had worked on my computer, the girl straight up inferred that I was a liar, and claimed that they "keep very accurate records" so there was no way that what I said was correct. Terrible customer Service, They will not help when you point out an obvious in their stupid suggestions. My Iphone 5 shuts down when its battery hits 15% percent, I restored it twice and the problem came up again. I visited this store and ask for help, this ill-mannered "GENIUS" said to me it is because of some crashing apps, when I point out that "APPS cannot affect the OS". then he started making excuses not to exchange my phone reason I did not take necessary steps to troubleshoot if the problem is SOFTWARE related or HARDWARE related. Clearly if "THEY DONT LIKE YOU, THEY WONT HELP YOU..!!" I have been to a Apple user for a long time and been to Apple store in about 5 countries and never had such experience. As I have paid top dollars for this phone and have right for satisfactory customer service, Now I am planning to take a legal action against these scums..! read more

Technicians are not knowledgeable about the product problems. On various visits for different products (iphone, MacBook, apple pencil), they just take an easy way of resetting back to factory settings. Of course, you loose all apps and data on your device and nothing was solved even after that. Although I love apple products I am very disappointed it this location's customer service. This Polo park store is useless, I took my imac which is still in guaranty and the hinch went down, the technician told us that it will be ready in 72 hours, counting saturdays and sundays, and that the part was in stock, that was on wednesday and today is monday next week and they still dont even look at it!!!What kind of service this people have after you pay so big bucks for a product??? Got an apple watch for XMAS last year (sports edition) and it was approaching the 1 year warranty and asked them to look at the watch because it was becoming very unreliable and glitchy, especially in the pool. The technician looked at it and said the watch needs to be updated before they can look at it. Went home and updated the watch and went back the next week. The salesperson now says there is a hairline crack in the corner of the glass face so your warranty is void. Told him that the watch had scratches from normal wear and tear. Why didn't they say that on the first visit. They wanted another $320 to fix a $500 watch still under 1 year warranty. Would only offer 30 days warranty on a $320 replacement. They say the watches can't be fixed. You get a new one. Get the apple warranty as they watches are too expensive to wear everyday. Will not get another one at these costs. read more

Awful..I would give negative stars if possible. I came in with a fully warranted MacBook Pro . The keys are coming off and are fading. The rep was snarky and rude and tried to blame me for the damage, saying I must have done something to cause it and "keys don't just come off". When I referred to recent articles about problems with the MacBook keyboard, he mansplained that this was not the same problem, which is bs. I stuck to my guns, said it was warrantied and I wanted it fixed..I had to show my receipt for the warranty as he couldn't be bothered to look it up. He ignored me, chatted with what seemed to be a favourite client, and looked annoyed when I said I wanted to read the work authorization before I signed it. I'm out of a laptop for 3-5 days and they offer nothing to loan you in the meantime. I could go on and on, but suffice to say it was a terrible experience, they seem to be trying to find ways to save Apple money (ha!) rather than to fix your problem. read more

Wanted help to solve an ipad issue, three visits later with no one interested in helping I gave up. I was on my way to Las Vegas and thought I would find help there, but the guy on the floor was of zero help. My issue he said was of the technical kind and would need an appointment with a tech, which I had no time to make the appointment so had to decline since I would be traveling home at appointment time. The issue was signing into my gmail account and doing some online research was able to easily resolve my own problem. The problem according to the online help was very common with Apple, so one would think the floor people would of been approached with the same issue before. read more

If I could give them zero stars I would! Apple gave me the run around when it came to fixing my phone, and the employees handed me off to each other which forced me to keep re-explaining my situation which as you can guess is extremely frustrating. Finally after promising to help me and having me wait in the mall for two hours to get my phone fixed I come to collect my phone and the employee says "funny story I couldn't fix your phone." ....so after all that time wasted you don't deliver and your trying to make light of a situation which is not funny at all?!... How he acted was completely unprofessional and A WASTE OF MY TIME. Lucky for me I went to Mission Repair Center on pembina and they fixed my phone in no time!!!!!!! From this experience I will never trust Apple employees to do anything. The people I encountered today are time wasters and this is the last time I will ever step foot in that Apple Store. read more

What can one say...The Apple store experience. At times, yes the wait times are long. Patience is required especially on weekends. Its a smaller Apple store and don't think they thought the amount of customers they'd have was estimated very well. Give the guy your name and you can walk around freely checking out the new stuff.
