I find the school marvelous and well-rounded! The teachers are so caring and are very hands-on! I love the montessori environment and how the teachers are very dedicated to their jobs! They are constantly fitting in extra hours to help out students who are lagging behind. They are also put in the extra time and effort to hold extra curriculum clubs such as Debate, Yearbook, Art, and the like. They are also very nice and are able to stay calm in stressful situations! Examples are that a student had run into a pole and was bleeding from their forehead, and was calmly taken by the teachers to sit down and call their parents. The curriculum is very advanced, and in the Middle School there are AP math classes for children that are able to go ahead. Students are also allowed to go ahead and skip grades if they are excelling enough. I feel that that helps students that want to go ahead, but know they can't. There is also Physical Education everyday, which most schools aren't able to afford and have. The P.E. teacher is very dedicated to her job, along with the other teachers that she works alongside with. They are all about giving their students the best experience possible so they can go far and excel in the future. Students also enjoy the school, which most children don't. There are exciting, educational field trips such as going to the local museum or going to the local philharmonic. There are also many groups of people that come to show us items such as drum performers, miniature symphonies, and animal shows. The school also hosts many fundraisers for the students. There are barbecues, candy cane making, and haunted houses! Spooky! At the end of the year, there is also a large performance that the students perform. The separate classes then go and do their own dances to perform that is around the theme that the teachers chose. Overall, it is an amazing school, and there doesn't seem to be anything to improve! Apple Tree Montessori has been an incredible experience for our family, and I cannot say enough about the love, care, and quality education my children receive here. My daughter Charlotte is thriving--she's scoring above her grade level and absolutely loves the environment and her teachers. Miss Torres, her current teacher, goes above and beyond to ensure she's learning and growing every single day. Miss Thelma, her assistant teacher, is equally warm and engaging, creating a classroom that feels both stimulating and nurturing. Last year, Charlotte was with Miss Leslie, who made such a lasting impact that Charlotte still talks about her lessons with joy and excitement. My son Elliott is in the toddler program with Miss Jackie and Miss Ibis, who are both so loving and intuitive--especially important with his rambunctious personality! Their communication is excellent, particularly when he's not feeling well, and I always know he's in the best hands. The leadership at Apple Tree is outstanding. Miss Bibi, the principal, truly treats us like family. She is always smiling, warm, and caring, and keeps us well-informed. Her presence makes every morning drop-off feel peaceful and positive--I leave the school knowing my children are safe, loved, and learning in a joyful environment. The entire support staff is just wonderful. There is such a strong sense of community and care that extends beyond the classroom. The lessons are engaging and memorable, and the school events--like the fall festival and end-of-year show--are so much fun and give families something special to look forward to. Apple Tree Montessori is more than just a school--it's a place where children flourish emotionally, socially, and academically. I attended Apple Tree myself from Kindergarten through 4th grade and have some of my fondest childhood memories thanks to this amazing school. I attended an open house with my mother who is a retired school teacher. On the tour, we noticed that the text books the kids are using are dated back to the 1980's. We spoke with 2 teachers for approximately an hour, and they told us they refer students to Kumon because they "just don't have time in the curriculum to teach the children to read". This was another huge turnoff for us. They do not incorporate extras like Art or Music into the school day. PE is done outside in a tiny breezeway. Not only is the school old, it is unkept. The Kindergarten classrooms are 2 open rooms seperated by small bookshelves. That's a lot of children for what is actually one room. We asked again how they manage to teach with all those kids and they brought up Kumon again. Why would I send my child to outside tutoring when I am paying for school? There was also no security, which was a concern to us being that the school is located off a main road. The school is old and run down, but there is no excuse for textbooks from the 1980's. I really hope the owner starts to invest in some up to date books for the children who go there. I would not want my child learning from textbooks that are 30 years old! My child attends Montessori Academy in Pembroke Pines and before we moved closer, we were at Summit Questa Montessori in Davie. My child is reading above grade level, and NO I do not have to send my child to Kumon for tutoring. The books at these schools are up to date, and both schools have brand new gyms. The kids do PE, art, yoga, drama, music, and Spanish all as part of the curriculum. Also, Montessori Academy has 10 Kindergarten classrooms. The difference is obvious. I've attended this school since the start of my education (preschool). The ambience at Apple Tree is like no other. Everyone cares about another and we're always trying to help each other improve. We're like a big family. I've visited other schools just to see how they are compared to mine. However, I was so shocked. The teachers don't connect with the students like they do here. Every single person attending or teaching at this school is somewhat connected with each other. I've also had some friends who left this school, they've changed immensely about their whole attitude about school, education, and life. Whenever someone needs a helping hand, we offer it full heartedly here. It is definitely one of the best schools around. In this school, we exceed and succeed in learning and life after Apple Tree. They don't only teach us mathematics at an early age, the capitols and continents in 1st grade, but they also teach us ethics, life learning exercises, and so much more. 99% of the kids that graduate here, get accepted at astounding schools that provide us with 1/2- full scholarships. We have honors classes that let us skip some classes in high school because of our advanced knowledge. When we leave Apple Tree Montessori, we don't leave the same. All of us are left with a special "gift" that was given to us the first time we stepped into the gates of this special school. This endowment is love. We acquire love for knowledge, learning, our friends, and the yearning to want to know more. This is not just any other "school" we graduate, leave, and forget about. We never actually leave Apple Tree. Because wherever we are in life, we will never forget that special gift of knowledge that was given to us here. read more

Apple Tree Montessori is a really good school. They are two years advanced in every class. P.E. is everyday compared to some school that only have it two times a week. The school might be older than much however, it is still a grade-A class. Art and music are a choice at this school unlike others. This is a pro and a con for some. The P.E. is done outside so that kids can enjoy the wilderness. Apple Tree also has a variety of people come during the year and do shows for the kids. Most schools don't do that. The school is also really small which is an advantage to all; this means that the teachers can also focus on this one specific student if they need help. All the kids know each other. The teachers are also very welcoming. They want your child to succeed. They are always trying to help. In conclusion, Apple Tree is marvelous! You should bring your students here! read more

I have been attending this school for as long as I remember, and Apple Tree is an exceptional school. There is P.E classes everyday for 45 minutes. The education that is given to the children is great. They have an advanced knowledge on subjects like math, grammar, literature, etc. It has a great one on one teacher/student actions. The classes have a fair amount of people, so it is easier for both teachers to attend and help the child's needs. The teachers are all very kind and extremely helpful. The teachers here are way more dedicated to the students, and they are always there for them. The teachers make learning fun rather than boring. The teachers are strict but fair. This school is amazing. We are doing High School Work! One of my students' friends goes to Cypress Bay High School in Weston and they are using the same math book! This school has P.E outside and everyday, not like other schools. The classes are small and the teachers are teaching the students well and nicely. One of my friends students went to the Middle School and the students are nicely grown up and have a life after they leave, they are all going to amazing high schools, like St. Thomas, Archbishop McCarthy, and American Heritage. The teachers I feel are more dedicated to their students because of the small classes so they can know their students and help them with any problems they have. I have been attending this school ever since I started school. It has helped me so much and I find the work we do here very helpful to when you go off to high school and college. The academics here are very advanced and everybody is very nice. Because the classes don't have many kids in them, the teachers can be very flexible and they can relate to every one of the students in all different ways. Even the students, they are so nice and they except everybody who attends the school. As soon as any kid first comes to the school, the classmates become instant friends with them. It's a very different school for example, they have all kinds of events and fundraisers. I think this school is great and many kids should definitely attend. read more

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Apple Tree Montessori. I have a somewhat reserved grandson who we thought could benefit from beginning preschool. We were looking for a school that would offer not only great academics but also a nurturing environment. My son researched online and was happy to find a school with such caring teachers and staff members. From the first day, we were hooked. The new owner, Ms. Elizabeth runs a magnificent program and has updated many areas of the school and has added a beautiful STEM Lab for all the students. This school is amazing, ok? Every student in this school is one to three years above level. Art is a club and music is done at a certain time of the year. The school is actually well kept. Cleaners come every week. There are never more than 30 kids in a class. There are always well trained teachers to teach. Apple Tree does also have extra curricular activities, such as PE, art, yoga, drama, and Spanish. And just because a school is bigger with more rooms does NOT mean the school is better. read more

Apple Tree is a very good school. The teachers are dedicated to the children and will help them in any way that they can. The teaching staff is incredibly intelligent and the grades are learning things around two years above their grade level. They offer after school specials and PE is a mandatory class everyday. I have attended Apple Tree for two years, and I am in middle school. The teachers make the education easy to learn, and I have not heard anyone say anything about Kumon. Almost every student here reads above grade level, and the teachers are kind and care about us. We learn real-life skills as well. The school isn't big, but the people are much closer to each other. All in all, the Apple Tree is a place you can feel good about sending your child. read more

This school is full of unqualified teachers. When I asked the owner about their qualifications, she became very defensive with me. There is lack of structure, the children are not reading above grade level, and the school is very old and not taken care of. Stick with a school that has Nationally Certified teachers. This school does not have good facilities. It is very old and needs to be broken down and rebuilt. Now on to the curriculum, it is very old with no one updating how the students learn and what they learn. The SAT tests are over 20 years old with outdated information. I wish I had not wasted my kids years here. Public schools offer more services and up to date material rather than paying for this school. read more

Overall quality is poor. I pulled my children out of this school. The school has had significant deterioration primarily due to the principal's unwillingness to invest in the school. There is also a high teacher turnover ratio. There is no concern whether the students advance at their own pace, which means if your child is gifted they will not be challenged. read more

I love Apple Tree, my 3 children go there and the education is excellent. The teachers are very caring and go the extra mile to help my children. The facilities are great and the Principal really cares about the quality of education being taught. My kids are very happy and are being taught 2 grade levels above. This school has gone down considerably, good teachers have left. A lot of kids have left as well. It's a very low budget school that has not updated it's learning equipment or books. I disagree with the old 2014 review. This school has excellent teachers and staff who are always willing to work with your child. The teachers and staff go above and beyond and want what is best for your child. I experienced this first hand with my own children. I highly recommend this school! read more
