Not a loving and caring Team / Staff. There is a big turnover of employees because staff members are rude to each other, and director Mr. Vayani is unfair and takes sides when it comes to his staff. Luckily the students are well taken care of, and the only good thing is that he does make sure teachers and assistants are great to the students. My daughter has been attending this school since April 2022 and I have seen where she has excelled in her education. She is fully aware at 3 years old how to spell her name and she knows how to identify shapes, letters, and numbers. This is a very caring and clean school. Small World Montessori is easily one of the best schools for young children in the South Florida. I have a 5 year old boy, a 2 year old boy and a 1 year old girl and they all attend the school. My children go to school everyday excited about learning new lessons and mastering those that they have been practicing. We have been part of the Small World family for years and all of the teachers are amazing; they are thoughtful, kind and caring. The teachers understand that each child is an individual and has different needs. They work around these needs and do what's best to help the child learn. We've fallen in love with all of the teachers at Small World because of the special way they care for our children and ensure a safe and healthy environment for them. Our eldest is learning to read, add, subtract, do multiplication and division. My two year old knows his continents, is counting and learning alphabet sounds. Our baby girl is learning to explore the world. The education the children receive is second to none and the attention that each child and family receives is also unmatched. The teachers and administration are extremely knowledgeable about children's behaviors and needs and are always striving to help spread this knowledge to the parents as well. I will start off by saying I truly love Small World Montessori...Ms. Christina and Mr. Vayani are truly the best ...I have been with this private school for the last 5 years and will be there for the next two years for my youngest .. my oldest started when she was 1 and a half and now she is 6 and my youngest since she has been 11 months and now she is 3... I am very big on education.. looks ..environment... smells ... cleanliness...SAFETY...I love the environment its very calm and clean it smells good looks amazing.. You can not just walk in you can not just pick up a child if you are not a regular ... they will make sure and check you have permission to be picking the kids up.. the staff at the front desk are very pleasant they always greet you by name.... they are willing to help you with anything....they do not care how many times you call to check up on your babies they will assist you with anything....If you have any incidents in the classroom they will run the cameras back to make sure everything happened the way they said it happen.... they have always made me feel comfortable about asking any questions that needed to be ask..as far as education goes AMAZINGGGG....as soon as both of my girls can talk they knew their ABC's...shapes ...colours..numbers....and way more...they teach them everything from a young age...you will definitely tell the difference in your child if they attend....the educators and staff stays on top of everything when it comes to your child...especially their development ... they offer speech screenings also for your kids a lot parents do not know its okay for your kids to go to speech it actually helps with their education... they will help you with that also.... A lot of people will complain about the covid screening but I don't see why wouldn't you rather be safe than sorry....them testing every two weeks believe it or not saved a lot kids and families from getting super sick ...plus you do not know how your kid's body will react once that virus enters their little bodies...so I think it was an amazing thing...now that covid is a little under control they will lighten up on it ....I love the fact they make sure your babies are safe health wise....knowing how easy babies get sick in daycare it is and was a great thing....they will help your toddler through their potty training phase also ..they are super patient with that and have amazing ideas on how to get through the process.... you know I can go on probably for hours with this review ...I just really appreciate the SWM staff....and you know like anything else nothing is perfect but they will try their best to accommodate you and make you feel comfortable and make it perfect...if you ever did have a situation with staff or administration its never leaked out to the kids ...its always handled just by the parents and staff...its never ever taken out on kids...as far as tuition goes its reasonable AND WORTH EVERY DIME... my peace of mind and my kids safety is priceless...so I'm willing to pay whatever for it...im willing to pay for whatever they ask me for ...im willing to donate....volunteer or help in anyway that will make my kid's school the BEST....They have great payment plans also...just all around a great school...good location ....great kids ...great families ... we all support each other when its birthdays...just a great community.... read more

Where do I even begin with this place. I'll try my best to keep this short, DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE. Just like other parents I was completely sold a dream from the administration to enroll my son here. 1 month into his semester I was given incident report after incident report with no explanation from staff. The teacher was always missing or too busy to explain what actually happened. Only one time I got a decent explanation and I was told to punish him she sat him in a corner alone and made him watch the other children play... he's 2 years old. I stopped sending him after getting an urgent message to basically come get him early for misbehaving via Smartcare and I said he won't be back. He was out for 3 weeks and unfortunately I was swindled back into the bullcrap they feed parents. I wasn't given a response via email until 2 1/2 weeks later late in the evening. I had a meeting and complained about not seeing any activities sent home, photos or updates via smartcare, nothing. After my complaints I saw a little bit of improvement. Especially with his teacher she was excellent after we had a little pow wow one on one. Don't even get me started on the accountant. I asked for the weeks he had been off to be taken off of his balance for school. I was paying the balance regardless but I figured it didn't hurt to ask. Mind you, she quoted me one bill for the two months he was out at once instead of the monthly installment in the contract. She simply fails to stay on top of her job and she even admitted to seeing an email from me and ignoring it. I had to literally show up at the front desk at the Miami Gardens location to finally get the quote and pay my balance so my son could attend the summer program. After dealing with her it put a bad taste in my mouth AGAIN, and I was done with them. I don't feel like my money is valued, they charge for every little thing, they made me purchase new uniforms and linens that my son NEVER received in the 6 months he attended that school. All around the administration is garbage. HOT garbage actually to charge what they're charging parents for a headache in the long run. Unfortunately for them my child's loving grandfather is extremely connected with the head of the school board and does civil engineering work for UM, the Caribbean, as well as Miami Dade and Broward county public schools frequently. His resume is extensive, I didn't say anything purposely to see how we would be treated. You all failed miserably. I will definitely make sure he gets the word out about this institution. I have never in my life written a negative review about a company, but this one is personal. My son's character and feelings have been at stake and that I cannot stand for. I work hard like every other parent and I honestly truly did not feel like this was a safe palace for my child. Each child is a dollar sign, I don't think anyone here genuinely loves these kids. Ms. Ana is awesome, her skills would be better valued to a deserving institution elsewhere. She seems like the only genuine hearted person there. Oh, and to Covid test toddlers and children every 2 weeks is literally insane.. so much more I could say, but I think you all get the point. :) read more

My son started this school over the summer of 2022, and continued for his 1st school year 2022-2023. We registered him for summer of 2023 as well. 2 weeks before 2023 -2024 school year began, I noticed I had not received any notifications for the upcoming school year. I sent an email on Saturday of that given weekend.. Asking if there was room for my 1.5 year old, who would be new, and any school updates with my son who was going into the 3 year old class. I immediately got a response first thing Monday morning (they have never answered an email so fast in the history of my tenure, in fact, I have over 11 emails that have gone unanswered AND or responded to weeks later.. documented. I got up immediately and drove to the school and met with Mr. Vayani. He smirked as he reminded me that I had missed the registration email. He stated, "We are sorry but there is no space for your son," and email documented such. He also went on to say, "you own a school, you should know who this works." I stated, we email, we call, we send group chat messages, etc. Now, I take full responsibility for not re registering my son as I missed the registration email. Yet, I received no notification, by phone or in person- I pick my son up daily. Several Parents communicated to me that they received excesses PHONE reminders, In PERSON reminders. HOWEVER, they have called me for many other reminders for things that would be beneficial to them --this is documented. I had 2 people call the school 2 weeks later back to back Mon and Tuesday. Mrs. Kristina communicated on several occasions that there was SPACE available in the 3 year old class. She even went on and offered a same day tour at 12pm, 2pm, or 4pm. I called on Tuesday just 2 hours later... After waiting 7 mins on hold-- she knew I was calling for my son, so I guess they were getting their story together... Mrs. Kristina, advised me that their WAS NO space for the 3 year old class. Upset, I asked her to pay very close attention to the question and how she answered it.. I even advised her that I had recorded both calls.. Baffled, she had no answer or come back. It was not very evident that they did NOT want my son back at their school. Throughout my sons tenure, I received one call to pick my son up early as he was having a rough day, but that was it.. so I don't consider that excessive ... Mr. Vayani, made me feel like a terrible parent and I wouldn't wish that on any parent. Especially not involved parents. I now understand why there is a huge turnover rate for their front end staff and teachers. I actually ran into a few on my quest to find another school for my son.. and they all confirmed the same feelings from Mr. Vayani. I highly do not recommend this school. I wish I would have read the previous reviews before committing. My son is happy at his new found school. read more

HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SCHOOL! The teaching staff is one of the best in the area based on my personal experience and based on my conversations with my friends with kids either in the same school or a different school. The staff and directors of this school have years of experience in Montessori principles and it shows in the caring and nurturing way they treat all the children. The care and attention both my sons receive far exceeds any of our expectations. My youngest one has undergone a significant change in terms of completing a task and learning something new every day. Horrible! Even though the teachers are great the head of school and the owner plus several other administrative staff are liars truly dishonest. They have huge class ratios, they charge for every last little thing like if your child was going to Ivy League school it's ridiculous. Their prices are outrageous! They will sweet talk you to go to their school and once your in there all they promise are lies. They only care about getting more kids in all the time and just keep packing them into the small classrooms. The communication with the parents is horrible your kids falls or has an incident and they forget to call you. Their daily reports are ridiculous. It's a very cold environment you're not even able to barely talk to the teachers. The administration is completely unorganized and it takes them forever to follow through on something. Lastly when we left they said they will mail a check from a deposit owed to us and every time we called they said that they had already done it. Lies again we had physically go to pick up money owed to us (which I think they owed us even more) but now it's pointless. I would not recommend this school to anyone! read more

SWM is an EXCELLENT school for your little ones! They are caring, nurturing, flexible and above all, experts in the field. The facility is CLEAN, organized and safe. The school's director, Ms. Christina, is the most dedicated, passionate and knowledgeable person you will ever meet. She is always onsite and available to address any of your needs. She is AMAZING and truly one of a kind!!!! I've been sending my 2 kids, now 5and 3 years old, to SWM for the past three years and couldn't be any happier with the results. My kids have learned order, addition, early reading, independence, strengthened their social skills, confidence and so much more. I only wish I had read the reviews before we started. What Jasmine B, Yasiel S, and Denise M said is absolutely true! Do not send your children here if you or your child has an opinion . Because the owner, Mr. Vayani, was a friend of the family, I felt we had a history and my child would be happy and educated well at his school. Part of this statement is true. Based on my experiences with the teachers, Ms. Lynette and Ms. Maria, my child was doing extremely well. She loved her teachers and made many friends. She had been in the school for 6 months went things went left. Parents had been receiving several emails threatening fees and/or consequences for the following: Late pick up ($1 minute after the end of the day) Not signing in or signing out your child ($235) 4 tardies results in not being allowed into school While I understand rules, the nickel and diming was too much. These fees were mentioned and created in January, after I paid tuition and the Spring materials fee of $200. My last straw was being forced into buying an item for an event. I mentioned in email how the process was inequitable. I suggested the school ask what I can contribute instead of demanding what I had to contribute. This "community" request seemed out of place in the very rigid, fee-filled atmosphere. When I sent admin an email expressing my concern regarding these unfair policies, Mr. Vayani sent me the following at 1am: "After reviewing the email, it is clear that we have a discord on certain key policies of the school. Effective immediately I am suspending services until I can hold a meeting with yourself and your husband. " He suspended the services of my child because the adults disagreed with his policy!!! I did not know this was a dictatorship. I was under the impression we worked together for the good of our children, hence the request for food and presence at events. What was I supposed to do until Mr. Vayani chose to speak to us? I may be the only working mother, but I do not have the luxury of my child out of school with out notice. Even more importantly, what did he think this was going to do to my TODDLER!! She is a child who expects to go to school to see her friends and teachers. My response to him was the following: Good morning, My family and I called yesterday and left messages with staff to discuss this matter. Our phone calls have not been returned. We believe a suspension of services is an extreme consequence for an adult's disagreeable response to administration's policies. My child has no involvement in the matter at hand. Your suspension speaks to your disregard for my child's education and our family's well-being. It is my understanding, after your 1am response, you did not expect my child to be on campus as the suspension was "effective immediately". How do you profess your concern for my child's education while also taking away her education? Did you consider the psychological effect this would have on my child to be uprooted with no notice? What did you think we, as parents, were going to do for the day as we both have full-time careers? As an administrator, I expect you to work with parents; not "suspend services" because I voiced my dissatisfaction with your policies. Your behavior is tyrant and dictator-like. I was under the impression your team was here to work with us and for our child. Based on your knee-jerk and extreme reaction, this is not the case. This decision is not one we came to lightly, but will move forward as your lack of concern for my child and my family's welfare is disturbing and disheartening. I will also be leaving a review online of all services experienced at Small World, not to complain, but to let other persons know what you are capable of. You ought never treat another parent in this manner. I am beyond disappointed and angered. My child had to readjust to another school because I disagreed with Mr. Vayani. We called to meet with them and have not heard anything. My child has asked for their friends and their teacher. I had to respond Mr. Vayani is not being nice to me. So, we could not go back. I have literally NEVER written a negative review of a business. I made the exception because I do not want anyone else to go through this type of treatment. I only wished I read these comments from years ago. Mr. Vayani has behaved like a dictator to other parents as far back as 2017 and as recently as 2020. I recently had a "tour" last week Thursday with Mr. Vayani the head director of this school. My experience was nerve wrecking. I didn't get a tour of the school, he sat me down in the front and just spoke about pricing and wanted to know "what my child was like" but his main focus was pricing. It felt like he wanted to know if i can afford his school or he just didn't want my child to attend by judging me. I didn't get a tour of the school at all. He showed me one class through a window and that was it! Waste of time. He didn't even give me a school brochure on the school. I had to call twice to mention I never received an email back from him prior to our tour. I spoke with Ms. Payne and she was nice enough to help and send me some information but I'm still supposed to get a call back from their financial office and still nothing. This place has poor communication skills. I should've listen to the rest of the reviews that said "all he care about is the money" and it's true, find a better school for your child. 0 STARS! read more

My two girls have been with Small World since they opened and the both of them have flourished. My wife and I could not have asked for more than what this school has put together for their students. The level of care and education is head and shoulders above the average 'daycare' facility and the children benefit tremendously from the high quality curriculum. It's clear they put a high level of emphasis on hiring the right staff and it's reflected in their management, teachers and admins. Great job Small World! I'm so dis appointmented with this school, they are uncaring, dishonest, untrustworthy and it's an unhealthy involvement. My grandchildren were there for six months my grandson was not eating his lunch, we were never told. He fell in the school yard( they are unstaffed) broke his arm, the school nevered call "911", no incident was reported they waited for the parent to take him to the hospital. He had a cast on his arm for eight weeks. We questioned the security of the school( the front door was never lock) due to the safety of our children. We were called the same day to pick up the children they were no longer allowed in the school. I'm disgusted with the school. The owner of the school called authorities on the mother because she requested an explanation and wanted copies of her paper work. The police told him she did not do anything wrong. The owner has a short temper! Please to all caring parents do not put your kids in this school. Look up the owner's name , see the reviews from his other school. Small World Montessori-Miramar is the school I chose to trust with one of the most precious little persons in my life, my son. He's been going to SWM since August 2016 and he loves it! He started in the "baby" classroom, which is up to 2 years old, and he has since transitioned into the "big boy classroom" 3-6 yr olds. He loved his old classroom with Ms. Marisol. She and her aids helped a lot with potty training, and I am forever grateful for their help. He always receives a ton of love and attention. All the kids do. You can see it in their confidence and demeanor. Because the school is so new, everything is very clean and the school is beautiful. The Montessori method is used here and I love seeing my son learn and grow. The lunch is organic and served to all the kids. My son is picky and Ms. Kimberly has been working miracles getting him to actually try new and different foods. We love SWM and the impact it's having on him. I couldn't be happier with the care my little one receives at Small World Montessori. The classes are small, the environment is clean and inviting for the children, the meals are nutritious and the curriculum is appropriate for her age. The teacher's are very knowledgeable and loving. The school director Ms. Christina is on site at all times. She is constantly overseeing operations and her door is always open for any questions or concerns I might have. My daughter started SWM at 15 months and is now 28 months and I have seen the significant progress she has made since being here. She loves the entire staff and the warmth and care they extend, especially her teacher Ms. Sheila. I love the facility and the size of the classrooms. They are kept super clean and well mantained. The teacher student ratio is also great as my daughter class has 18 kids 4 teachers and TAs combined, which I think is more than enough. The school administration is always helpful and willing to answer my questions even without an appointment. Always great and frequent communication is kept throughout the Smartcare App, so we can know what is happening with our little one throughout the day and sometimes even a picture is sent, to brighten up your as day as well. The academic program is well structured with integrated play time and the meals they provide are always healthy and nutritious. My daughter loves it here! read more

Hello everyone. Today has been an emotionally draining day and just wanted to inform you of the terrible experience our family has had with Small World Montessori school in Miramar. Please stay far away! This is what transpired yesterday and as I attempted to reach out to parents and advocate for our children's safety my children were abruptly expelled mid day today. My husband was called to pick them up immediately as they were no longer welcome. To make a long story short the front door of the school had not been locking since at least November. Other parents had expressed concern regarding this issue but unfortunately nothing was done. In speaking to other concern parents after I was told my son was left unattended at the entrance we agreed that we should meet with the head of school and director to discuss what was happening and perhaps come up with a plan. Previously myself as well as other parents had suggested manually locking and unlocking the door for the safety of the children but this was not occurring as myself, other parents and my mother had come to see personally as they had entered the school on occasions. The head nor director of school contacted me to pick up my children but instead directed their anger towards my husband and mother who when she went to pick her grandchildren up and asked for a letter of explanation was threatened by the head of school and told that he would call the cops if she did not leave. He ultimately did the same to me 2 hours later as I went to the school requesting my paperwork and explanation. When a head of school retaliates on parents this way it tells you something! read more
