In November my puppy had kennel cough and was put on meds and everything. 2 weeks later, my other dog started to have the same symptoms. I called the vet hoping to just get meds seeing how kennel cough is very contagious and they live in the same house.. but nope let me pay two $400 vet bills instead of just one. I took both dogs for their annual this year which usually costs me 300-$400 per dog... NOPE this time was $1,200.00 for both dogs!! I couldn't believe it. Not only the cost but my one year old pup is the sweetest and a very shy boy. Apparently when they took him to get his blood drawn in the back he was so scared he pooped all over the table and was rolling to get away from them.. so they muzzled him and threaten to sedate him every vet visit moving forward for their safety. I insisted that he is not aggressive and was probably scared of you so to please let me come back with him moving forward. I held him for the rest of his shots and he was not aggressive what's so ever towards the vet or tech. THEY ALSO SENT HIS POOP FROM THE TABLE IN FOR TESTING AND CHARGED ME WITHOUT MY PERMISSION. Both of my dogs were terrified throughout their visit. I will definitely be finding a new vet!!

Everyday counts when it comes to these kinds of emergencies and they wasted precious time to try and extract more money from us. Luckily, we saw through the scheme and brought our cat elsewhere ( which unfortunately was too late). We brought our cat in on a Saturday and was told to come back on Monday for a procedure. We went in under the impression that our cat was getting this procedure done on that Monday, but when we came in he wanted to repeat the same thing he did Saturday, and have us come back the next day for the procedure. Mind you, he never looked at the cat on the Monday appointment, and on the Saturday appointment he took an xray that cost $300 and saw a foot of fecal matter stuck in our cats intestines, which we learned at this new vet required immediate action. Not only this, but we were quoted almost $5,000 for this appointment when the doctor specifically said with multiple witnesses around that this now $5,000 appointment was originally given a rough estimate of $1,200. This very unprofessional and disrespectful doctor when questioned about the price of the appointment after being reminded that we were told $1,200 was being very argumentative. When we told him that we wanted a second opinion (which we brought our cat to immediately after this appointment) he tried to pressure us into staying and guilt trip us. After all this, we had other staff apologize for this doctors behavior and advise us that we were making the right decision. For reference the other vet (with a MUCH better status) gave us an estimate of $2,000 for triple the treatment, including X-rays, overnight stays, and contacted a radiologist specialist to examine the xrays. I absolutely do not recommend this veterinary office and save yourself the trouble and money as well as your pets life and go elsewhere !!!

Our experience is always pleasant, the practice is clean and well kept, our appointments are booked easily and within reasonable time AND they do a great job of handling our fur babies. We find their prices and cost to be very reasonable as they meet the level and quality care this practice has provided to us. Last year we lost two of our babies and that was an incredibly hard time in our lives. Dr.Elliot met us with such compassion when it was needed most. We are forever grateful. As we have welcomed new furfamily members to our family this year, Dr. Guhn Knight and Dr. Fratamico have been providing such wonderful care to us on our new endeavor. We have told many others about the quality care we receive here and hope you'll consider giving them a try if looking for the best care for your pet.

Absolutely dissatisfied with my experience with Dr Elliot at chippens hill vet. Not only was I…read morecompletely blind sided by the cost but not a single one of my concerns were addressed. I was not given a quote or told the cost of the exam & chiropractic adjustment until after both were completed which cost $278 alone. I did email my concerns about this with the manager to which she agreed that her staff failed at providing an estimate which was against their protocol. I requested a thyroid panel when scheduling my appointment but was never told to fast my dog, so after leaving the office (& paying $300+ for said test) I was informed that the sample wasn't adequate since he wasn't fasted therefore I would have to come back later that week to get another sample. My other main concern was my dog's recent onset raspy breathing, which the doctor barely spoke to me about & said it was laryngeal paralysis (even tho I knew it wasn't due to his symptoms & history but she wasn't receptive to hearing it). As he laid on his side in the exam room I informed her that it gets worse when laying down to which she said "that is really difficult to listen to." So I asked if it were LP what could be done for my almost 13yr old dog who has cancer to which she solely suggested surgery... offering no other supportive care. I ended up asking for a refund for the thyroid panel as I didn't plan on coming back & went to an urgent care vet who treated his breathing after thoroughly going over his symptoms & history (it was not LP). I then scheduled with another integrative vet in the area to establish a relationship and continue his chiropractic care but asked the manager for a possible partial refund for the exam (which was $150) since I was not satisfied & did not feel comfortable continuing care with Dr Elliot. She refused to offer any sort of refund stating that the doctor had offered her expertise & not everyone is a good fit for one another so she respected me seeking care elsewhere. However, I don't feel that I received any expertise unfortunately as none of my concerns were addressed. This was an extremely expensive trial & error process that has set me back with my dog's care since I now have to pay for another new patient exam at a different office. Now I understand why their office has such open availability...
