As a couple we sat and waited for 20 minutes before our server addressed us. I had the chicken parm fettuccine and she had 8oz steak med rare. It took over 40 min to receive our food and 25+ min just to be noticed for a refill. The noodles for the fettuccine were well over cooked like mush and the steak looked as if it was week old beef jerky. Also, the sides were not not accurate on the plate. We had ordered online which was quite easy for the most part paid ahead. The price was on par for the same price of a classy restaurant. However, we didn't receive that we got over priced quick turnaround food that tasted nasty to the point just throwing it out was our best option since the family dogs didn't want to even eat the food. The chicken in these pictures wasn't even good it was tough to cut wasn't juicy more like dry. The broccoli was ice cold not even warm to the touch. The mashed potatoes were on an okay level but it's hard to screw up quick mashed potatoes by just adding hot water. The chicken wanton tacos weren't even that great either. Ordered the "ORIENTAL" salad and it was dreadful compared to other Applebees restaurants. Dressing was not Asian other Applebees that use sesame oil, Asian spices & sesame, rice vinegar etc. I suspect they gave us Italian as I asked for extra dressing. The entire top of the salad was covered with room temperature popcorn chicken pieces, maybe chicken tenders that were so dry, I had to drink to wash them down. Many pieces were 1 inch ends cut off from previously microwaved chicken portions. Coffee was old, no Stevia was available. Carpet is filthy, and overall decor is dingy n old. Don't waste your $$$ here . We ate what we could cause we were in a rush. I should have taken a photo. read more

Very uneventful experience dining out on 2.24.23. Not only did we experience a awful view of trash on floor for over 30 mins. We had to wait approximately 1 hour to be seated. As seen in attached photo the restaurant had plenty of empty seats! As mentioned to us by the Host at front door..kitchen was swamped with To-Go orders and of course these took priority over Eat In Customers. All in all this is poorly run restaurant from maintenance to management. No need to further communicate on review. Group of 4 walked in for dinner on a Sunday. There was approximately 6 tables seated in the resturant and 6 people at the bar. We were greeted by the hostess saying the wait was 15/20 minutes as the wait is because of staffing issues, we waited 25/30 minutes. Once seated the bartender was our waitress who was responsible for 6 people at the bar, a table of 2, and are party of 4. She was very friendly and tried her best. Appetizers were ordered which came out 10 minutes later, soup was luke warm, spinach artichoke dip was good. From time food was ordered originally it took about 35 minutes for it to come out. We ordered two salads, ribs, and a burger. We had plates on the table that weren't cleared and empty drinks while there were other waitresses standing in the station area talking. Overall likely won't be back any time soon. A strong manager or corporate should come in and hold training or hold staff accountable! read more

The service was terrible, but the food was as expected. We ordered an appetizer and it came out quickly but it took about 7 or 8 minutes for ketchup and silverware. Then when are food came, our waitress asked if we needed anything and we said refills on our beverages (water and soda), and she never came back with drinks or to ask about the meal until we were almost done eating our spicy food. I was literally half sitting on the booth half hanging out the booth trying to get the waitress's attention. When she FINALLY came back, she asked what we needed, we were extremely frustrated by this and she said "I'm human I forget things, and I'm pregnant so I'm entitled to forget". She was very rude and unprofessional. When we asked for a box she literally threw them at the table, and the drinks she brought after 30 minutes were literally full of ice (see photo). Surprised to see all the bad reviews. Mozzarella sticks and spin dip were fresh, then the tender Mac and fiesta lime chicken came out perfect. The food is usually good, but the last few times we've been going to this location we've had really crappy service. Today we received service from Elizabeth B. She didn't refill our drinks, didn't ask once how our meal was, she would collect our drink cups that we put at the end of the table and run without filling them; she did the same thing with my husbands card when he paid. I've honestly never had such crappy service before. It'll be a long time before I go to this Applebees again. Countless times I have ordered to go. And it seems like every-time there is something missing or wrong.

We went for dinner at 4:55 they were not busy at all. Looking at the menu their was really not a big selection to order from. My son and I ordered a small side salad with Italian dressing. They bring us out a huge salad with some NASTY tasting Italian dressing. The salads were just GROSS they went to waste. My husband and I NEVER RECIEVED OUR DRINKS and we asked for them 2 times. He finally got a cup of water when he was done with his meal. We will not be returning! When Applebees first opened they were AMAZING, now I don't know how they stay so busy.. Went last night for a spur of the moment meal with my husband, our toddler son, my in laws, and brother in law. For a Saturday at 6:30 they were quite busy but we took the last available booth. Bonus points. Our waitress must have had a rough night or something because she wasn't all there. Drinks ran out, she would say she was bringing refills but never did. Once our food arrived, she forgot our son's meal and we waited for over 10 minutes for that which then came without French fries and his apple juice. By then our toddler was past the point of mean and he could care less about eating. It happens though, no big deal there. All of our meals were good though. The salads are large which almost makes you too full for your entree. All other portions are rather big as well. Flavors are what you expect from Applebee's...especially when it's just the usual pastas, burgers, and steak. read more

Went there with a friend for lunch. The food was all right. The service was what you'd expect at Applebee's, some dude who probably hates working there and did the bare minimum. We got our food though. What happened later on that day is why I'm writing this review. My friend accidentally left her scarf there. She called, told someone where we sat, and the employee found it and said that it would be put in a safe place. As she lives about 30 minutes away, she called me to ask if I could grab it since I live less than a mile away. Of course, I came to the restaurant to grab her scarf. When I got up to the hostess stand, I explained that I was there to pick up my friend's scarf, as she was told it was there. She said, very dismissively, that it wasn't. I said, "Well, my friend called here and someone said it was here." Instead of trying to be helpful and find out an answer, she said, "I can get the manager if you want." Well, I asked her to please do that. The manager came over, and I had to re-explain what I wanted since the hostess couldn't have been bothered to relay my message, and he said that there wasn't a scarf there, because it would have been at the hostess stand or in his office and it wasn't. So, I'm standing there somewhat dumbfounded because I really didn't understand why someone at the restaurant would have flat-out lied to my friend about the scarf actually being there. I went outside and called my friend, and she asked "Do you have my scarf?" and I said "No, I'm here, and they said that they didn't have it." The reply to which was "I just called them back a second time and I was told that you had picked it up!" And I hadn't, as I was standing outside trying to relay to her that her scarf disappeared into thin air. With her still on the phone, I went back in the restaurant. Up to the hostess stand, "Hi, Me Again, Scarf?" My upset friend is in my ear remembering "It was a 'Trish' I talked to?" I said to the hostess, "She said she talked to a Trish?" And the very unhelpful hostess made a confused face and questioned, "Do you mean Tricia?" Seriously, she HAD to have known who I was talking about. Then she said that she just heard over the headset or intercom or something that someone had called about a scarf and it was gone or something like that but it sounded more like she just wanted me to leave. She said "She's over by the carside to go, you can go talk to her," and points vaguely in the directly of about 40 people between the staff and the patrons. I asked, "Which one is Trish?" And she seemed to have a problem helping me with that. I would think that an employee at any establishment would go find someone by name instead of suggesting that a customer figure it out themselves. So, I started walking in the general, vague direction, to try to find Trish, and eventually end up in front of 3-4 employees, and I ask, "Is one of you Trish?" And I actually don't believe that anyone of them admitted to being 'Trish'. I asked AGAIN about the scarf and one female employee did say, "Yeah it's here in the manager's office." I stood there for a moment and at this point, am VERY irritated, so I ask "Well HOW DO I GET IT?" And then a rude "Someone's going to get it right now." Honestly, I've relayed this story to several people and every single one of them agreed that this was one of the most ridiculous stories they've heard about unhelpfulness, incompetence, lack of teamwork, and a general disregard for a customer - and every one of them suggested I write in a complaint. By the way, the scarf was given to my friend by a relative of hers who is now deceased, so it was very important to her. Also, I am extremely angry that I had just the day before bought $100 worth of Applebee's gift cards for another friend. I wouldn't ever encourage anyone to go to that location again. Applebees please get with the changing times and improve your gluten free menu. A simple allergy menu is not sufficient and is rather confusing. I ordered chicken wings because of the way the allergy menu looked...it said that is was free of gluten. I get them and they are breaded. The manager came and explained that the chart says the chicken wings have gluten but the sauce is gluten free. Very confusing and dangerous allergy chart for someone that has celiac disease. My waitress was very nice but I had told her I am on a gluten free diet. She offered an alternative to my chicken wings which was very good. Restaurant was clean and service was good. She came back and said she would take $5. off and asked "if that would make me happy" I said "No, I wanted to speak to the manager" 5) She came back and said that she adjusted bill, and I attempted to explain my issues to her. I ordered the chicken fajita wrap. It took forever and when I finally received my food there was NOT 1 shred of chicken in the wrap. The waitress opened up my wrap, picked through the lettuce and pointed out a small speck...ONE SPECK!!! and said "that's chicken." I could not believe that she had the audacity to point to something and call it chicken when there was clearly no chicken at all in my wrap. I was confused and embarrassed and I thought are you really trying to tell me that there's any chicken in this thing? They said they would make it again and after What seemed like an eternity, they brought out another wrap. Again there was not one shred of chicken inside. I cannot wrap my brain around how incompetent the entire staff was to allow this to happen twice. They picked through my wrap the 2nd time and identified what they called chicken which was microscopic. Like if they could prove there was a crumb of chicken they could charge you for the wrap on the menu that was full of chunks of chicken. I am exasperated. This exact scenario happened to my son recently and it was like Déjà vu!!! At this applebee's the customer is always wrong apparently and the waitress will argue with you. Got food poisoning from this place several months ago. Also have had horrible service from multiple staff members multiple times, one of which who thought it was necessary to yell at me and call me stupid and the manager who was aware of this let it happen. Was offered a free meal voucher for sickness, which I wasn't planning on using anyways but I gave my info so I could get it and maybe give it to a friend instead, and I never got anything anyways. Customer Service was terrible, waitress totally ignored us when we asked for anything. If she did get us something she took forever to go get it, my kids drink was put off for over 45 mins as she said "let me get this table started and I will be back" but never came back. The tablet was not working at the beginning of our meal and I mentioned it she said she would be back to fix it but failed to return, at the end she said we could pay on it and I got rude. I told her that she told me well over an hour ago she would be back to fix it and fail to return. My girlfriend brought me to Applebee's for Father's Day dinner I always liked it there I used to take my mom there for lunch. What has happened to Applebee's? Waitress brought wrong order. The bourbon street steak and red potatoes with fried onions and mushrooms presentation sucked. I have had bigger breakfast steaks than this. So sadly disappointed with this Applebees in Auburn. I have a family of 9 and my little one had wanted to celebrate her birthday at Applebee's. She had invited her aunt and uncle and her grandparents, so with our 9 people, we were going to need seating to accommodate 13 people I had called ahead and asked if they would make reservations to ensure their ability to accommodate my large party. The person who answered the phone immediately declined. I explained that I knew it was not a standard thing for call ahead seating but there was no way to make an exception so my daughter could celebrate her birthday at the restaurant of her choice. The person on the phone said absolutely not. I was very disappointed in this exchange and had to explain to my daughter she would not be able to have her birthday dinner at Applebee's. We chose Chili's in Auburn instead, who DID take call ahead seating and did their best to make my little girl's birthday dinner special. Too bad for Applebee's. read more

Applebees has a great diet menu. I like coming here when I'm trying to lose weight. Also their texmex food is great. I enjoy their bar drinks, and the wide variety of platters they offer on their menu. The waiters and food servers are courteous and prices reasonable. read more

So I go to Applebee's with two clients just before 10pm on a Saturday evening for a late dinner and drinks. We are seated immediately and the seating is comfortable. That is where the 1 star rating comes from. Ten minutes later the waitress hopscotches her way to us from table to table and asks for our drink order which we give her with an appetizer order. Ten minutes later she comes back with the drinks and appetizer and is ready to take our order. My one client want to order a baked potato with her meal and is told they might be out. Might or are? Finally convinced her to go check. They have 1!!!!!!!!!!! Now to be fair there is a note on menu indicating that there is a time for baked potatoes and it ends at 10. I mentioned we are there just before 10????? Nuke one already if you need to. My other client wants a steak but he is told that they only have 6 once steaks left. WTH?????? Finally sent waitress away to discuss options with clients. Called Chili's from restaurant and was advised that they have all menu items available. Paid for appetizer and drinks and left. I will never go here again and neither will my clients. It was not even busy and we could not get service or food. What a joke! read more
