Ordered two meals and everything came correct with the burger and fries. However, I also ordered the 6 oz sirloin with broccoli and fries, and I have to say I was extremely disappointed. For almost $20, this is what I received. There's no way this steak looks like a full 6 oz serving, and the portion of broccoli was incredibly small. It honestly felt like I paid restaurant prices for a kid-sized meal. The fries were actually good, but the steak and broccoli portions were just sad. We arrived at 1:45p and by 3:20, we only recieved 4 of our 6 meals. Drinks took 30 min to arrive. The reason given was because the bartender is the only one able to do drinks. Ordered nachos and they came out wrong TWO times. Found out one hour since ordered that they ran out of Cinnabun swirls. Thoroughly irritated and disappointed with this Applebees location. The restaurant was semi empty with no wait, yet we had to wait for so long. Would have left earlier but we have 2 elders in our party. Will not return here anytime soon. Buffalo wings were so good. Blackened Salmon was amazing. Steamed broccoli was lightly buttered and perfectly seasoned. My husband loved the chicken sandwich with cheese and fries. We ordered everything takeout and the quality was superb. Thanks Applebees for a great dinner. read more

The best part of this experience was our server Tyrek *hope I spelled his name correctly*. He was so pleasant, professional, amd patient. Even when his family came in he still held on to his professionalism and that is something you do not see in the younger generation. I knew something was special about him, he's an August baby! Even with being short staffed and the kitchen being backed up by 25-30 minutes, he periodically checked on all of his customers to make sure they were good. Waitresses did her best with existing conditions. Chips were stale from our spinach dip. My Swiss cheese burger was drenched in grease, couldn't even pick it up with grease running out onto the plate. There was no one sitting at the bar and I still waited at least 15 or so mins for a beer. Wife had prime rib sandwich and the bread was burnt and the prime rib was dry. Just left this establishment. May 6 2023 Flo was absolutely fantastic. She took care of our table after a horrible experience with our server Lynn. Flo is the kitchen manager that turned our dining experience around. Our server was combative rude and condescending. Towards the end she called my daughter a boy several times. When corrected Instead of acknowledging HER mistake she said I only saw braids I never really looked most boys wear braids. That sums up the customer service she provided. We came to have family dinner. We got to the restaurant a little before 5 and were seated immediately. The server can over and took drink orders, appetizer order and entree orders. After that we didn't see her again. 30 minutes later my daughter's food came out and about 15 minutes later mine came out. At 5:44 my boyfriend's food came out and wasn't how he ordered it. He asked for cheese and the "new" server said he would have to pay for it and he said ok. He started to take the food apart to put mayo and realized the food was cold. You can only get them through UberEats . I called this Applebee's that prepared and asked if they changed the menu. Good had good flavor and taste, though I was sorely disappointed with my initial plate. Disappointed all around. We're not allowed to sit at a booth because the babies high chair would be in the walkway....however, after a chair was removed from the table to make room for the high chair, the chair was left in the walkway at the table next to ours for the duration of our visit thus defeating the argument of why we couldn't sit at a booth. Instead I sat squeezed into a table with a large woman in a motorized scooter wheelchair directly behind me, with an empty booth across. The decline of the service industry is clearly evident in the employees of both Applebee's locations I have visited today. There were several issues with this Applebee's. They weren't busy at all, but it still took a few minutes for our family to be seated. The seats in the first booth where they tried to seat us were dirty so we asked to be moved to a different table. The restaurant in general was dirty. There were straw papers, balled up napkins, and squished french fries on the floor in multiple sections, and none of the workers seemed to notice it or care. The silverware was also dirty. Once we were seated, our server didn't come to take our order. After about 10 minutes we finally had to ask for someone to come help us. Our food did taste pretty good, although my husband ordered the Bourbon chicken and shrimp which is supposed to be sizzling when brought out, but it wasn't. Checked ours and it was covered in food chunks. Everything was salty. Got the 2 for $20 and ordered the mozzarella sticks, chicken tenders, and bacon cheeseburger. Mozzarella sticks were fine. Could still see some freezer burn on them but were could thoroughly so that's a plus. Fries were very salty. Chicken tenders tasted like more breading than chicken. Burger was juicy and actually had good flavor but it was extremely greasy. The table next to us that had complaints had another server come over and try to relate to them which was nice but she threw the manager under the bus and said he wasn't great. I understand relating to customers but I wouldn't actively try to make the manager look bad when you're dealing with complaints. I would not come back to this Applebee's or in general any other. This is absolutely the worst Applebee's that I've been to in a long time. If I owned this franchise, I would fire everyone! The service is so slow that it is ridiculous. There were all of 20 people in the restaurant (and approximately 4 servers) and it took 40 minutes for them to bring us 2 kids meals, some tacos and a chicken fingers basket.....after we told them we were in a hurry! The table next to us, a party of 9, never got served and left without anyone noticing. Customer service is non-existent at this location. Unless you have hours to waste on mediocre food and service, dont waste your time coming here. The bathrooms are also filthy. read more

Our server introduced her self and then immediately left to help another table. 10 minutes later another person took our drink order. And 10 minutes later we were brought our drinks. Then the waitress left again. 15 minutes later the waitress arrived at which point we decided the lack of service was too much for us to deal with. At least they give you silverware to eat with, it took the waitress at Broad River to get our order, then she placed our food on the table, no silverware, it took 15 minutes to get the silverware, the staff was in a corner laughing, making jokes, doing nothing, it's bad when you have to break up a conversation to get silverware. They were not busy at all, I guess folks learned to stay away. The tip is don't go there. We went to the 1 in West Columbia and they were awesome, the staff was so nice, we weren't an inconvenience to them, also the 1 on Two Notch is good. We stood at the front of the restaurant for 12 minutes waiting for a host...or anybody. I went to have dinner there tonight. The waitress brought over a glass of water the bottom had soap on the bottom. I got onion soup and she came over handed me a plastic spoon? I was taking take out! When I got my steak and mash potatoes the mash was red? I ordered a medium steak. I spoke to the manager and she had said that medium would still have blood? For years I've eaten medium rare and you get blood. But! Not medium. I been a chef for an organization and am retired I never serve a medium steak with blood. This is my first time here. I sat at the bar and had a wonderful experience. Candace was the bartender tonight and she is so on point with everything. Her customer service was awesome, off the charts!!! Very personable, enthusiastic and knowledgeable bartender!!! She exceeded my expectations for an Applebee's bartender. The drinks were awesome, delicious, just amazing!!! I really enjoyed the jolly drinks!!!! The atmosphere was really laid back. I will be returning very soon!!! read more
