I was at Applebee's since 12 pm with no problems. I had two beers and a shot of Johnny walker. I had a salad because their food is either a hit or miss kind of deal. Later on I had another beer and their steak with Pappas (potatoes). Long story short, the bartender "V," told her boss that she was cutting me off and I wasn't acting rude to her or the other bartender. I guess my Spanish was extremely bad that she thought I was drunk. So don't speak Spanish to impress because "V" will cut you off from having drinks. Additionally, if you leave a big tip at the bar and it's not for "V" she will throw it away like it was never there. Most importantly, if "V" doesn't appreciate your business she will talk about you to whomever speaks spanish. Warning, stay clear of Veronica Mars. read more

Just walked out of Applebee's and I can say I had excellent service by a wonderful server (Jorlin). Ordered 2 apps and 3 entrees. The apps were nice and hot and yummy. 2 out of 3 entrees were cooked well and when I sent my meal back, they were nothing but apologetic. My server kept checking on me and the status of my meal and apologizing even though it was out of his control. By the time my meal came to me, my party had finished eating. It was cooked properly though and they comped it to make up for the inconvenience. I have eaten at this Applebee's before and I will eat here again because I always get good customer service. read more

My complaint is about the quality of food. I had salad with strawberry. All contents in it were bad. All greens were half rotten or of bad quality the chicken was smelly and not nice quality of meat to begin with. The tomatoes were half rotten, the stalks of green were too thick to chew them. The dish looked like a good dish, but it was nowhere near taste-wise. I had issues with quality of food at Applebee's before, like stakes of grey color. Eating there is like a playing a Russian roulette, hit or miss, would not go there if I had a choice. What are they doing with food to keep costs down? Is it food???? OR plastic salad? Awful service! Never go to this Applebee's! I went with a friend Friday night. It was fairly busy but not too busy and not packed. We get seated, and we wait 20 minutes before I literally had to get a servers attention. The server who helped us was pretty good and apologetic, but the guy who was supposed to serve us finally came to our table 30 minutes after we were seated. 30 minutes later!!! I had to force a server to come to my table after 20 minutes, and then the server who was supposed to help me comes over. Not only did he pretend like nothing was wrong, he actually lied about why he didn't come over sooner! I was furious and sent him away. Calling corporate on Monday. I am not happy with the service. I waited 15 mins with my 1 and 3 year old and my wife for the person to take our order and it did not happened. I would not be so upset if it wasn't for the fact that the other customers that came after us were getting their orders taken and some were already eating before us. We notified the staff twice and nothing. Before we left, we also notify the manager Jessica and I left feeling that this issue was not properly addressed and that it was a normal occurrence. I visited this Applebees on a business trip. I didn't want to venture too far from my hotel. I figured I could get something decent to eat. My first impression was that it was a little small for an Applebees. However, I quickly realized it was bigger then it appeared to be. When the waiter came to greet me he mumbled something I couldn't understand: I asked him to repeat his statement and he said his name which I won't mention and he said "we got Red Bull". I thought I was hearing things so I asked him to repeat the statement one more time. He responded his name and "we got Red Bull" and then he pointed to advertisement on the table. The advertisement stated if the waiter does not recommend a drink the customer gets a free appetizer. I assume my waiter was recommending Red Bull. He took my drink order and smirked at the fact I wanted a Strawberry and Mango Lemonade. Like it was an outrageous request. He totally lacked friendliness and every time I asked for something he gave me the impression I was annoying him. For example when I asked for a to go box he looked at me after I made the request and just walked away. My food was less than average and the service I received from the unnamed waiter was horrible. My girlfriend and I walk in and the hostess ran out of utensils to put on our table and din't even bother to get us some. Our waitress though was nice but didn't give us utensils either until after we got our food. We just shared the appetizer sampler which tasted pretty much not so frozen food anymore. The mozzarella sticks were good the first bite but then you knew they were not freshly made. The boneless wings were not all sauced and chewy. The Artichoke dip was bland while the nachos were salty. This is by far THE BEST APPLE BEES IVE BEEN TOO. And I've been to over 30 in New Jersey and New York total. The wait was less than 20 minutes. The waiter we had was amazing Thank God. The food was also amazing. OMG I've never tasted such goodness and savory sauces in one dish. We had the steak and shrimp Parmesan and it was so so so good. I give it 20/10 stars. And my boyfriend had the 4 cheese w/ chicken tenders and my god that was to die for. I visited this Applebee's a couple of times. They are always busy on weekends due to mall traffic. Wait times can be 15-45 minutes. Service is mediocre and food is okay. Menu selection offers good variety. Tables were sticky for each visit. Server doesn't offer to refresh beverages. One out of two visits, I was asked if I would like anything else before check was dropped at the table. This last time I was quoted a wait time of 15 minutes. I waited over 20 minutes and saw several other parties seated before me. I asked the hostess about status and she said she was trying to find a table for one but only 2 or 4 tops were available. I work in food & beverage and know you seat single guests at a two top when available; restaurants don't normally have one tops. I canceled my request and went to Johnny Rockets. After our wait and seating another 10-15 minutes resided before our waiter came to take our drink order, following another 10 minute wait for drinks out entree order was finally taken. At this time there were still no cutlery, following another 20 minute wait we were brought out appetizer and were put on hold another 15 minutes, before we were given plates and utensils to eat aforementioned appetizer. When we did receive our entree 2 of the 3 were cold to the touch and were not brought out together. Following a long wait to get our food reheated one of our party members found a piece of cracked plate inside their breadstick. When the manager was called over to our already subpar table service she repeatedly cited excuses on why our situation happened than apologizing for it happening. Applebees is a really family friendly place and a nice place to eat for the kids when you just finished shopping in the mall that it is located. It isn't very hard to find and the food is pretty good. They have relatively well priced there and to save money, me and my friend got the 2 for $20 offer for one appetizer and two entrees. The boneless wings we chose to be spicy were not that spicy which might be good for others but we wanted spicy not mild. There was a lot of dough on the wings which didn't taste that good, but the pasta that I ordered made up for it. read more

I'm not a huge fan of Applebee's to start, but relatively speaking this isn't a bad spot. It's attached to the mall so I'm sure it gets super cray around dinner/lunch time but when we came around 11pm it was empty. All of our food and drinks came out on time and everything tasted fresh. They did seat us at the back of the restaurant considering we were a pretty big party and about 7 different waiters helped us for one thing or another (I guess because we were in such an inconvenient spot?). They also only asked my boyfriend and I for ID for drinks because "You guys look too young", which is embarrassing when they didn't ask anyone else. I am not happy that the waiter kept our .40 change today at Applebee's in Jersey garden mall. From what I understand they do it all the time at the 440 location too. That change adds up. I save my change and always leave more than 20% tip so they should give their customers the correct change back!! I used to waitress and know that they depend on their tips. I will not be going back any time soon. The service wasn't too good either. The coffee cup had food inside and my salad dressing had a chunk of meat in it I think. THE WORST Applebee's experience EVER! We got here around 10:40 so it was about 10 people in there TOPS. The servers are standing near the bar dancing & talking about a beach trip tomorrow took 11 minutes until someone came & took our order.
