WHAT THE HECK!!! September 26th I had decided to bring my friend out for supper. We had ordered our food with a waitress named "Jade N". I had asked for my food after waiting awhile. Clearly stated I wanted a 6oz steak, mashed potatoes and BROCCOLI. She had came back with room temp food and coleslaw!!! Unacceptable. So I waited for her to finally come back and asked her for broccoli. What I had asked for in the first place. She looked at me with a mean face. Then eventually said "you want broccoli?" With a whole bunch of attitude and rolled her eyes. And I was like "yeah". She gave it to me finally and then she charged me EXTRA!!!!!!! Like what?! That should be free and part of the meal. Just like the picture. Personally I would never let a "waitress" like Jade N work for me. I would fire her the first time I heard some information like this. read more

I ordered curbside service double crunch shrimp. I modified what I wanted to have the menu and, it was handled with cheer and correctly. The shrimp was extremely good as was the cocktail sauce. The server who brought it to the car in 12° weather was smiling and cheerful. I would suggest visiting this please soonest. Good food, good service. read more

Am in town for work and tried an online order from Applebee's. All the staff were nice and friendly and shane who was working at the bar (could even be the manager) was great. He even recognized a regular guy that walked in at the bar and got his drink without him ordering it. Food was great and will come back again when I'm in town. Will recommend to others. read more

Got poorly mixed lemonade and told I was going to be charged for the extra shot of flavor, then flat Pepsi, dry pasta told i was going to be charged for the extra sauce to correct it and to top it off our apps that were ordered during happy hour but punched in late so the server tried to charge them full price. Mark (the server) continued to argue about how it was our fault for not ordering them in time because the computer reflected after 6pm, however, we made the order around 550 knowing that we had made it in time. Now once did he take responsibility for any of the mistakes made by the restaurant or even offer to fix things unless we were willing to pay the extra amount for flavor/sauce. Really poor experience. But that's the theme for restaurants in this town I guess. Won't return again and wouldn't recommend even giving it a chance. read more

I was here for lunch and ordered food around 12:05. We got the 3 course meal, and a 2 for 22. We were unaware that the 3 course meal would take longer, would have been nice if the waitress let us know it would take longer. Took 10 minutes to bring out one salad. 5 minutes after that for our appetizers. Then about 10 minutes after that for our food. Our burger buns were very burnt, and one burger was supposed to be pink, had no pink. The other burger was charred. Manager was about as worthless as a manager can get. In my party of three, two of the orders were wrong. My burger was over cooked and the other had the broccoli in the dish when it was asked to be left off. When the plates first came out the waitstaff had to use hot pads to hold the plates. To me, that says they had been sitting under the heat lamps for quite some time. I sent my burger back because it was overcooked. I asked for pink when the waitstaff asked me. When the second burger cam out, 15 minutes later, it was more done than the first. On top of this there was spotty service, not once were we asked if we needed beverages refilled. And when the waitstaff stopped and asked how our food was, it seemed like she had forgotten that I was waiting for my second attempt at cooking a burger to medium well. At least they removed both burgers from the bill. The lesson here is; don't ask if I want something and then not deliver. If your kitchen cannot cook a burger to medium well, don't ask. If the expectation is not there, it would have been fine. read more

I love this Applebee's! Always have super friendly staff and my food comes out quick. The staff check up frequently and make sure my glass is never empty, which I appreciate greatly. Even on those rare occasions that there are mistakes with my order, the staff are very understanding and compensate me well for their mistakes providing me with a free item or the meal free of charge. They honestly haven't let me down once. I would highly recommend this location. read more

Went here for supper, ordered a grilled chicken salad, a pop, and a side of loaded mashed potatoes. The menu clearly said $1.99 for a side of loaded mashed potatoes and the waitress confirmed that the potatoes were only $1.99 extra when I asked or I would not have ordered them. I get my bill and am charged $2.79 for garlic mashed and $1.99 for loaded mashed. That's just about $5 for a scoop of microwaveable loaded mashed potatoes! I asked her about it and she tried to explain why my mashed potatoes were $5. Really, as a customer there was no explanation. My suggestion would be to make it right with your customer so you get repeat business and keep them coming back. Unfortunately $5 made me turn my head to this restaurant. Other than that, my food was good and fresh and other than the mashed potatoes the waitress was a wonderful waitress as well. read more

Great place for a good time and good food. We arrived at 5 pm and not a minute too early! It filled up fast. Our drinks came first. I ordered the 'Perfect Margarita'. It matched perfect with the Southwestern Chicken. The '2 for 20' meal was just what we wanted. The Appetizer Mozarella sticks helped absorbing the.alcohol. It was delicious! I had a good night at first. I ordered a brownie with vanilla dessert when everyone else ordered. I did not get my food when everyone else did and waited 20 extra minutes and it never came. When I asked what happened she said she did not want to give it to me until everyone had what they ordered. This makes no sense and I never got what I wanted. I am very disappointed. I gave Applebees's 5 stars because of the great improvement in the past 2 years. The food is good, we have had various dishes from steak to pasta. Prices are reasonable. They have a decent beer and wine selection. And, all employees are very friendly, attentive and seem to enjoy what they do. Best meal in Marshall. We have eaten at this Applebee's at least 5 times in he past week and were never disappointed. read more

The server was inattentive. Our drinks were never refilled. It took forever to get our check. The food tasted microwaved. The portions are too small. I haven't been to Applebee's in years because I thought it was awful then. 16 years later, it's gotten worse. I feel bloated and greasy on the inside. read more

I was very pleased with my experience here tonight. I took my daughter out for dinner and she ordered chicken fingers and I was only able to have soup and their 4 cheese grilled cheese due to an injury to my mouth. I didn't know what to expect from the "adult" grilled cheese meal, but it was very good. The tomato basil I have had many times and it always tastes pretty good. The service was great. I felt bad for the server for having to wait on the inconsiderate group that was sitting across from me. She did great with my daughter and made sure all of her needs were met. I don't eat here very often, but I will have to visit again sometime soon. read more

We love Applebees as it is where we met and later married. This Applebee's experience was terrible. We sat at the bar and ordered drinks. I first ordered the $1 margarita which tasted like flavored water. Ordered beer instead. I pointed out my order from the lunch specials for soup and sandwich. Got soup no crackers. Hubby got salad, had to ask for dinnerware. I got no napkin when I ate my soup. Sandwich came and it was full sandwich. I didn't think anything of it. No ketchup was offered for the French fries. I could only eat half and asked for go box. Check comes and I was charged full price for soup and sandwich. I mentioned to bartender and she said she could only take off $3.00. I asked for manager and she said since I was taking half sandwich home it was the best they could do. I didn't need to take it home as I probably would not eat anyway. Manager gave the lunch price. I have never had a poor experience in dining at the Marshall Applebees, the staff are great, they make you feel welcome and are always accommodating. The bartenders are great as well and the happy hour specials of half priced drinks and appetizers are well worth it! The waitresses/waiters are knowledgeable of the menus, drinks, and desert options. The atmosphere is great for gatherings with friends, co-workers and families. I personally like the weight-watchers options that the menu offers with lower calories yet GREAT taste! We will continue to return to the Marshall Applebees time and time again! read more

I am usually a huge fan of Applebees. It depends on the day I guess. Sometimes we get good service and other times we do not. The Marshall, Minnesota Applebee's lacks consistency. I absolutely love the new mac & cheese with chicken meal, where the chicken has a marinade on it. It is absolutely delicious. But, the bread stick that came with the meal is as hard as a rock. I know, it is only a bread stick. But I think that says something about the cooks. They allowed the bread stick to be served. They would have been able to feel that this bread stick shouldn't be served. My roommate was with me this time, and she too had a really delicious mail course, but her side of vegetables was completely disgusting. They were shriveled up and gross. Usually we do not have issues when it comes to the food, but this time we did. Again, they aren't consistent. Also when we went, the amount of flies around our table was disgusting. It was impossible to concentrate and eat. My main goal was to eat as fast as I could and then get out of there, and that is not an experience one should have. And lastly, I couldn't even tell if we had a waiter because he was non-existent. It took us a good 20-30 minutes to get our bill after we were finished eating. And when we got our bill, it was incorrect and then it took another 10 minutes to get our correct bill. Keep in mind that we were eating around 2 pm so it was not very busy. All in all, it was mainly one experience that was bad, the rest were ok. read more
