First time here. Was excited to come here for their wings. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Dining room was pretty clean and nice seating with lots of areas to sit. I ordered ruff summer drink which I recommend. Very sweet and delicious. For the food I ordered mango habanero and the new blackened wings traditional style. Best boneless wings, which I thought I'd never try. The golden barbecue sauce is great and they have the best fries. Poutine is great too and I'm sure it's good for you. All the food groups: dairy cheese, gravy, bacon, fat, vegetables, how could you go wrong? We happened to go here for a birthday drink shortly after it opened and found out it was bingo night. Then went weekly for a year! It was a lot more fun when Rick called bingo. There were people of all ages playing (18+) with one cash prize, and several certificates, T-shirts, etc.,back when it was free. We spent enough on food and drinks that it wasn't really "free" but cheap entertainment bringing friends together. Was a highlight destination while it lasted. Still go for the wings. Now it's pay bingo with cash prizes, but I find it less camaraderie anymore. I guess the person calling bingo made a huge difference. read more

Maybe the best boneless wings I've ever had! Huge!...Puts BWW to absolute shame! I had the teriyaki wings and the flavor was perfect, went so well with the blue cheese dip. I also ordered a Patty Melt Sandwich (not knowing that a small boneless wings was a meal in itself). The Patty Melt was pretty average. Not a lot of flavor and if there where onions on the sandwich they were melted into the patty. Have to say that the sandwich was a let down after the excellent wings. Maybe stick to wings? read more

Your typical sports bar with good food and good service. They were extremely busy when we stopped by and had to wait for about a half an hour. Once we ordered, the food was fairly quick and they had a great selection of beers available. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that you're not able to pick a variety of flavors as they have a lb minimum for orders. I stopped at Ruff's for a second time. During happy hour on Sunday, certain apps are $3 off. I ordered cheese curds. They're normally $9.99. So I received an order for $6.99. If I could give zero stars I would. I stopped by on a slow Friday evening and was immediately sat down. After the first 5 minutes without a waiter, we figured okay it's just busy (wasn't). A few more groups came in after us and both sat immediately and got their waiter soon after. We waited over 20 minutes, got smiled at by several staff members but never attended to. Usually get to eat at least one meal in area when visiting the in-laws once or twice a year. While the area needed a sports bar I felt the prices were high compared to other spots in the area and the Nachos I ordered as a meal had very little flavor and meat. Service felt slow for a place that didn't seem that busy. The drinks were certainly overpriced, they have the advantage of being attached to a hotel so some travels might not be aware there are other options. Live band that Friday night was excellent, sun was in our eyes for good chunk of evening and they should have spent some money on blinds - seems like they spent it everything else, the place does look nice. read more

Willmar has needed a sports bar 5-ever. Applebees just wasn't cutting it. Their menu has a variety of decent wing sauces and dry rubs, but their buffalo chicken wrap really steals my heart. I literally order it every time. It comes with kettle chips or fries or you can upgrade to sweet potato waffle fries. I hate sweet potato fries so I don't. They have good specials during sporting events and the beer is always flowing. Their bloody marys are decent and their bloody bar is reasonably priced. Parking is never difficult. read more

Ordered carry out. My only complaint is not enough napkins! I had the philly cheese steak and it was messy! Understand, I am not complaining, It was overflowing with meat, cheese mushrooms and onions! The bread was a great texture and the sandwich itself tasted great! We have been a couple times since they have opened. The food is solid and service is always good. I have had 2 burgers and a sandwich from there, and it has all been solid. I had the boneless wings on a business trip here. The portion was huge but they were just undercooked chicken strips. They had many wing sauces to choose from. I had 2 and they were pretty good. Great food and service! Ice cold beverages and delicious burgers. If you're used to Buffalo Wild Wings, I wouldn't recommend the wings though. Most of the bartenders are cool as can be and good at their jobs. Food is decent bar and grill fare, but not the greatest. Drinks are overpriced but what do you expect from a bar/grill attached to two hotels. My real complaint with this place is the damn music they pump through the speakers the entire time they are open. It's garbage pop/rap bullshit and I don't see anyone really liking the music played here. I'm open minded, but we're in the middle of Nowhere, Minnesota. C'mon. This is a pretty typical sports bar. We ordered a couple appetizers and they were tasty. The service was good. The bartender was very nice and the manager also stopped by to check on us. My only complaint would be the group of rowdy drunk people next to us. They were clearly over-served and obnoxious. read more

We went there for the first time last night. It was delicious! We got mozzarella sticks and onion rings for appetizers. I hate bbq sauce, but since the onion rings were served with bbq I tried it. I've officially found a bbq sauce that I like. I don't know if they make their own or what, but it was really good. My husband got a chicken sandwich that had bbq and bacon on it and I had the margherita flat bread. He said his sandwich was great, I would have tried it but I was too busy eating my amazing meal. They are a little more expensive than most restaurants in town ($41 before tip and that was without drinks) but well worth it. Our server was excellent as well (I think her name was Britney). My only complaint was that I would have loved to try their Bloody Mary but the server said it was kinda spicy when I asked her. I'm a wimp when it comes to spicy foods and most Bloody Mary's are too spicy for me anyway, but it would've been nice if they would've had a non-spicy version for wimps like me. However, that's my complaint about most restaurants as I have yet to find a really good bloody mary in Willmar. I would definitely recommend Ruffs. Great food, great service. I came here with my team after our baseball game as recommended by another player. It has been quite awhile since I visited Willmar and I didn't realize that this place was here. I ordered the Real Deal burger basket and it was fantastic. The burger was juicy and packed with eggs, bacon, cheese, and hollandaise sauce. I was very impressed and will have to try the Juicy Lucy next time. I was able to try both the boneless and bone-in wings as well. I recommend the bone-in over boneless because you get a lot more meat and it tastes better, in my opinion. On the service side I would say that it was average. I have worked in the restaurant business and little things like remembering who had what meal, along with remembering to bring out extra stuff that is requested goes a long ways. I have been recommending this place to people already and I definitely will stop here again if I have the chance. read more
