I went on a Monday evening. Half of the seats were turned upside down and the floors were very slippery. They seated us at a table that had not been wiped down properly. There were dead bugs and what looked like a wasp on the window sill and many flies so we moved to another booth. Despite the deplorable reviews we decided to give Applebee's in Moultrie another chance. We were staying at the Hampton Inn across the street as we do several times a year. I am pleased to say that we were seated within one minute of walking through the door. Our waiter, Devin, addressed us as soon as we were seated. He took our drink orders immediately. After several minutes he came back and reported on the progress of our drinks and took our dinner orders. Our appetizer arrived after seven minutes. Hot and delicious. Devin was concerned that the drinks had not arrived and got them himself since the bartender had miraculously vanished. Still, we had drinks and appetizers within 14 minutes of placing the order. Imagine our surprise when Devin delivered double drinks. Who knew some of the draft beer selections were two for one! Nice surprise. I ordered the Fiesta Lime Chicken. It arrived hot and juicy, smothered in a blend of tasty cheeses, sitting proudly atop a crispy bed of tortilla chips. The pico was fresh and full of flavor. The rice was nothing spectacular but I don't really care for rice. The lime wedge was surprisingly fresh, not dried out, and extremely flavorful. My husband had the chicken tenders with fries and coleslaw. The coleslaw was top notch...fresh, crisp, not soggy or too sweet. The tenders were " tender" and not over cooked. The fries were lack luster but okay. Overall, I would order the Fiesta Lime Chicken again. My husband would order the chicken tenders again, but not with french fries. The ambiance was "Applebee's " Lots of conversations going on at one time. A party of 12 seated next to our small party of two. Children seated amongst older adults with no regard for the more senior customers. Maybe kid's' birthday parties should be held at McDonalds and adults should celebrate quietly at home. We truly appreciate the level of hospitality and attention that Devin provided. We would ask to sit in his section again. Waited 30 min for a table. Waiter messed up drink order. Ordered food, 2 adults 2 children. Children's meals came out, no flatware on table, drinks had been empty for 10 min. I live in Moultrie and dislike this Restaurant. The Service is always NEW people and the Managers must be on Rotation as a Training Facility. Usually slow service and the servers are there in Body but not in mind or Spirit. They usually have trouble will with communication skills and act like they wish they were somewhere else. I have always felt their Food is Over Priced . If you like MSG , HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP and other taste bud manipulative spices ; this is your kind of place. We came to Moultrie Ga to escape hurricane in FL. This place has been awesome, walking distance from Hampton Inn! Have been there twice and staff and service has been outstanding. Awful location. I wish I could give them a negative rating, but that isn't possible. The food is definitely below average, it's just awful. Service is super slow. It took my serve a good 10 mins before he came and introduced himself when they weren't even busy! It's ridiculous. Only reason why I went to eat dinner there is because there's nothing else in Moultrie. I think I should have just stick to fast food to be honest. Went to dinner with my wife around 930 two weeks ago. Waited several minutes to be seated even though the restaurant was nearly empty. Our server was sweet and that's about it. This is the first time we've ate there in 2 months because of poor quality food. I don't know why I was surprised that the food has not gotten any better. We started with nachos that were clearly microwaved. The nachos appeared to have been made hours earlier and were warmed up when ordered. We sent them back. Our entrees were much of the same. Me and my family went to the Moultrie, Ga Applebee's today. Our waitress was a woman by the name of Haley. In the waitresses defense, she appeared to be pregnant. 1) We waited to be seated for an abnormally long period. 2) We were sat at a dirty table with dishes still on the table. (It was not very busy. No excuse to be sitting customers at dirty tables.) 3) My wife ordered the baby back ribs dinner. Her sides were green beans and garlic fries. Both sides were cold. 4) My 8 year old grandson ordered the chicken strips with macaroni and cheese as a side. It appeared that Applebee's has there own version of macaroni and cheese. Did not resemble anything a 8 year old would consider macaroni and cheese. (Note: I applaud Applebee's for creating there own versions of common items, but this experimentation should be reserved for adults). 5) We were served our entrees with no silverware. We waited an additional 5 minutes to get silverware. 6) I struggled the entire sitting to get refills of my drink. 7) My ticket was put on my table without a bill book. This allows for anyone to see my credit card. Other waitresses seem to deliver there tickets in the correct fashion. Additionally, the waitress brought back the ticket to sign, and stood there until it was signed. Maybe it's a tactic to make people feel guilty and give a tip. This is unprofessional. 8) I do not recommend this Applebee's to the public. My assessment is there's a possible deficiency in training, and a sure deficiency in management. read more

I think a two star is a solid score this place. I've been here on many different occasions, and will say that they have their days... I mean weeks. However, greatness isn't a norm. We recently have been visiting more frequently, because like I said, they have their weeks. However, tonight they provided a prime example of their decline into mediocrity. The tea was lacking. It tasted extremely watered down. The food was room temperature. Nothing really resembled a hot meal. The salad sat under a warmer... according to our waitress. And I guess to top it off I had drinks spilt on me. I understand a complete accident and the waitress was apologetic , but as I sat there the entire meal, cold, I thought you know they will comp something. Maybe my meal or at least the drinks, but nothing. No coupons for later purchases, nothing. Like I said I was at least expecting either my meal or at least my drink to me comped. I live about 3 miles from Applebee's and we eat there a lot. Every time we go we get great service. We went on Mother's Day and we got one of the last seats there and even though they were full we got great service. The food was delicious. I left full. The manager checked on us once and the waitress kept our drinks full. Applebee's is a great place and I highly recommend it. read more

Skip this restaurant if you have any other options. The food was OK, about what you would expect from Applebee's, but the service was unbelievably bad. We had a waiter who was very slow, but he did manage to get all our orders right, eventually. The real problem came after we finished our meal and attempted to pay, using an Applebee's Gift Card and a credit card. Apparenty, their credit card system was down and wouldn't accept payment. After waiting for well over a hour, we asked if we could just leave enough cash to cover the bill and leave. No attempt was made by management to apologize for the inconvenience, no discount was offered for our having to wait, and no manager spoke to us during our wait. Went to Applebee's in Moultie with my four friends tonight. I've always been skeptical of Applebee's I personally don't like going because the food is overrated and expensive. Sat down ordered our drinks and food, the service was okay. On the way out with our food the waitress spilled all of our sauce on all four of us. We had BBQ sauce in our hair, clothes, windows, and walls. My friends and I laughed it off because we didn't know what else to do. The staff didn't offer us anything! The waitress apologized and that was it! Now we have stained clothes and BBQ sauce in our hair and we still had to pay $30 for a meal that was mediocre. I will definitely not be going back. I work in retail and I know it is important to keep your customers happy and business coming in. A simple free desert or free drinks would have sufficed. We live in Moultrie and have been to this Applebee's on several occasions. For some reason, the service is always lacking. Our latest attempt was made a couple of weeks ago when we wanted to watch a movie, which is literally, a minute away. We got to Applebee's with an hour and 25 minutes before the movie. We got drinks right away, however, our appetizer showed up 40 minutes later, and we finally told them to forget the meal when were still waiting 5 minutes after our movie started. No manager stopped by to check and our waitress was not terribly concerned. We watched 4 other couples come in after us and receive their food. Bottom line, don't bother. read more

We went to Applebee's in Thomasville we got there about 12:15 left about 2PM, server was terrible, did not get what I ordered, the manager, if that is what you call him came when I complained to the waitress. I told him it was not like I ordered, and I would get a box . I had to ask another waitress to tell my waitress to get my bill, the whole time I was there they never got busy. You may as well close this one, we will not return. I did not get a copy of bill she told me what it was and came with some check out for me to put on card I told her I was paying cash, she went to get bill then and a box, my spouse went to the car before he got in trouble so it was best he left. I finally just left the $ on the table as she did not return, I told the other waitress as I was leaving they could just throw my food out as I decided I did not want to wait and my dog I was sure would not want it. Terrible service. We sat down at the bar and when we finally got a drink menu, our bartender disappeared for twenty minutes and someone else had to come step in and take our order. One of the servers seemed to have a problem with someone else because we could hear her complaining loudly about her from across the bar. That is so tacky and unprofessional. The runners obviously don't know how to read their tickets because we got stopped three times to be asked, "Is this your food?" No, we didn't even order food, read your tickets! Then at the end I asked, "Could we get our checks, please?" She said, yeah, just one check right? No, two... that's why I asked for two. Just a pet peeve of mine; there was no reason to assume my friend and I would be paying together especially after I said we needed two checks. This place seems really poorly run, even for an Applebee's, and my parents who live here have said it's the worst place in town. Super slow and non-cohesive.
