I've been a patient of Dr. Webbs for about 18 years and when I've wanted to just "give up" he has never let me...........he has not given up on me. One of his staff members deserves a huge shout out. Nancy is who you usually will get when you call in for a appointment and her smile is usually what greets you when you walk in the office door. Nancy I consider a close friend after all these years. When I call in Nancy can just tell by the tone in my voice if my appointment is one that is needed that day or if it's just a "check in" type of visit. If it's one of those " need to see Dr. Webb" asap she gets me in by working her magic!!!!!! She really is so personable and makes you feel like you are in a "safe, nonjudgmental place". Dr Mitchell truly cares about what you are wanting for yourself and tries his best to not over medicate but only what you actually need unlike many doctors that I have seen. He takes his time to talk about how things have been going in your life. Plus he has a very sweet and well behaved lazy dog named Bubba who likes to lay in his bed and sleep while in the appointment. I definitely recommend them and I have been through a lot with my mental health.

She told me I was an addict and needed to be put on the new drug for addicts only. She scared me. I was no longer in a safe space. I was born with a form of dwarfism, Multiple Epiphyseal Dysplasia. I started having surgeries at 11 for orthopedic procedures. I've had 54 surgeries. Mostly orthopedic. Im always on pain meds. Im very proactive about my health. Im an herbalist too and I know so much about pain management because I specialize in it as an herbalist. I grow my plants and make strong medicines. Morgan said to me. "I know all about your bone disease ". Not hardly. My orthopedic surgeons said, only i know all about my bone disease I've had my knees, hips and elbows replaced. My elbow replacements are broken and Slocum won't help me. So I'm referred to Mayo Clinic in Minnesota. This woman was only concerned about what I was talking about and how much time I was using. Insurance just changed our appointment times. 2 subjects. 20 minutes. My bone disease affects my whole body. She was so unreasonable. So threatening. She stood over me as I bowed my head in prayers and berated me. You see, I am a very strong patient advocate for myself and she didn't like how strong I am, so she became mean. Im not an addict and I don't qualify for their new meds for addicts. My body is , not my mind, my new doctor told me, so no you dont qualify for the addict meds for opiate use. Stay away from this crazy woman.

You generally need to get seen by the connections clinic before being setup with a long term provider, but going through all of the steps is the most difficult part. I dinged the one star for the new patient process. It involves calling a specific new patient coordinator line, leaving a message (often) and hopefully being available once they call back. I've had good experiences once I was in though.

She is now on appropriate medication after my wife and I spent years discontinuing the wrong medication for a misdiagnosis. Dr Schmidt is genuinely concerned about her needs, he asks some tough questions but knows she needs to face her issues for progress. She has done so well under his care, the behavior is getting so much better and she actually has feelings and compassion for others. For the first time I a long time, my daughter is happy most of the time. It takes a village and am so happy to have Dr Schmidt part of her support group. About a month later, I got a call from her receptionist stating that my insurance never intended to cover it and that I KNEW that, which I NEVER did, which means I'm now being charged $600. You know what she did that even made the sting worse? She offered a "10% cash discount". Okay, so $60 is going to help out. I'm so beyond upset. I have no idea how she does her job and sleep at night knowing she does a horrible job.

He prescribed me medication and knew that I was apprehensive about taking them. I also told him my body was sensitive, so he put me on a very low dose, half a pill. It took me over a year to finally start taking them. I tried to get an appointment in to increase my dose because I had been taking a full dose for an entire month and found that it helped me tremendously. He wouldn't see me for two months! His office considers me a "new" patient because it's been over a year. I've told other doctors and they've never heard of such a ridiculous policy. He was more than happy to give me 5 refills, but of half the dose! So much for caring about my mental health. I decided to find a primary physician who could see me. I told him my case and he prescribed me the full dose, no problem!

Our successful social interaction might have been due to my heightened social awareness at the time of the appointment, in addition to her creativity/ experience with psychiatric disorders. I advise you don't go into any first appointment with a psychiatrist in a confused or emotional state, or a weakened state at all, period, if at all possible.
