I signed up with Aerotek in November. I finally received a call back from them in February about a…read morejob. I went to the interview on a Friday and got hired on with a start date of the following Monday. Aerotek came in and had me fill out all of my paperwork onsite during my lunch break on my first day and asked me to get a required drug screening. They wanted it done within 48 hours. I went the next evening after work and the facility I was sent to was awful. After poor customer service walking in the door and an hour wait I got up to inquire how much longer it was going to be. I still had an hour commute home and a dog which had not been out for over 10 hours by this point. I was told there would still be a wait. I explained the situation and told them I was going to have to leave. They informed me that this would be put down as a refusal to test. I left and immediately contacted my agent at Aerotek to tell them what had taken place and what the circumstances were. I received word back that this would indeed be put as refusal to participate and that my assignment was to end immediately and I was not eligible for any work from the company for the next 6 months. I inquired if there was any place else I could go to do the test and was told there was not. My agent stated they were going to try to put in an exception but I have not heard anything back on this. It's really too bad as I liked the company I had been placed in as well as the job. I never refused the test and I find it sad that the company would not work with me to assist me with this situation.

I frequently have other PEO's trying to get my business stating the TriNet can not give us personalized service, but that is not my experience at all. Even though I have never met many of the people I deal with they give me great service. I have a payroll specialist that I speak with weekly, a HR representative that is available when ever I have HR questions, and boy do I have questions. I have a representative that comes to see me monthly and sends me emails frequently to check in. Once I had a questions that HR suggested I speak with an attorney, and they arranged a free phone conference with a local attorney! My local representative gets me resources to help with our annual safety training, and a door prize for our employees. I love everyone on my Trinet SOI team. Some say the cost is expensive, and they would be right but my mother taught me that sometimes you get what you pay for. We differently get what we pay for, and Trinet proves it to me every week that we have made the right choice. Thanks for all you do Thomas Vien, Daniel Salmeron, Debra Fox & Dee Sawa! TL;DR, In 2019 They were fantastic to work with 2021-2022 Are there any humans there anymore?…read more Prior to COVID, I worked with Creative Circle and they were absolutely incredible. They met everyone they were trying to both place and any company they were trying to fill a position for before they even decided to work with anyone. They reviewed your resume and portfolio giving solid advice on how to improve your overall presentation so that you would be able to connect with the right position. So in 2021 when I was back in the market for a job they were the first staffing firm I reached out to help me connect with the right opportunity. On the many times, I have tried to connect with someone I have basically ended up on a mailing list that sends me possible jobs that may or may not be the right fit for me. If I think I am a good candidate I am to email back with my current resume and a link to my portfolio and hope that someone sees it and gets back to me. I have been working with a number of recruiters and staffing firms and I do understand that the creative fields are highly oversaturated. Which makes staffing those positions even more difficult, especially with the level of remote work out there. It's been almost a year since I started trying to work with any recruiter at the firm and have talked on the phone with someone at this office once after quite a few emails trying to get a local human being that could help me. The phone call was cordial but the person I spoke with had to go after only speaking with me for a few minutes and promised a follow-up I never received. I have responded to many of the positions I was very much qualified for but never heard back. I found myself calling them the Cyborg Staffing firm to my husband because it feels like they forgot that the H in HR stands for human. Because it has been so challenging to get in touch with a human there. I don't know what else to do other than share my experience so others won't feel like they are also wasting so much precious time.

I've dealt with multiple agencies (up to 30!) and I can definitely say they are the most responsive and receptive. They actually listen to what you are looking for and need and understand there's more to people than bullets on a piece of paper. I highly recommend them if you're a job seeker or looking for staff!

I stumbled across this organization via an open call job interest for Chiquita. They're located in the old Coca-Cola bottling plant on Morehead. They've done a fantastic job updating the space. When you walk in, you're greeted by a receptionist. The rest of the office is filled with "cubicle" like space & meeting rooms. Keep heading down a hallway & you wind around to a kitchen area, then a workshop room. They're new to this building, so it will be interesting to see what it will look like when completed. They have workshops on resume/cover letters, interview techniques, LinkedIn, & career coaching. This is more "upscale" than you would see at your local unemployment office. Volunteers teach these free courses, so if there's open spots on their website, you better not hesitate to sign up. It took me about a month to secure the resume/cover letter class. Gwen Ferguson taught this class yesterday & was very knowledgeable and friendly. I left the 4 hour session empowered with a new approach to my resume & cover letter. Another plus - free parking!
