I called Homestead Animal and was able to get an urgent appointment with Dr. Heidi, the relief vet. Dr. Heidi took care of the cat, provided him with pain relief, antibiotics and lots of fluids. Took the cat in the next day for a repeat of the fluids, and this time some steroids to help with the swelling of the mouth. On Friday it was apparent that the cancer was growing exponentially and I needed to euthanize him. It was the hardest decision ever, but the staff was kind and warm and made the process as easy as possible.

The next morning we dropped off the joys and Tracy was very pleasant and friendly. She helped us get checked in and even called our vet to get some vaccine certificates faxed over. Since I didn't have a copy she gave me one. When we came back the next day to pick the boys up Tracy again helped us with a smile and friendly attitude. I appreciate their observance of Covid and the precautions they've taken. I feel very comfortable letting my pups go inside without me. In the past 6 months, one of my pets had developed large cancerous tumors around his neck, and it was obvious we'd have to make the impossible decision to let him go. Dr. Adam Benson came to our home to make our pup's transition comfortable and I couldn't have asked for a better scenario. He was so gentle and kind.
