Novocaine? Pffttt. Easy, peasy. Don't even feel it. Not sure how he does it and don't really care. All I know is that he is the best at administering it. Crowns? Had 6 porcelain crowns placed over my old teeth which had to be 'ground down' a bit and not even an inkling of pain or discomfort. My teeth look fabulous now and I'm proud to smile. Fillings? No pain. Remove silver fillings and replace with white? No pain. The staff is amazing too. A dental assistant flossed a few of my teeth, did a quick polishing, and then the dentist, Michael Slater, came into the room to finish the procedure. In all previous cleanings/checks I have had by other dental offices, a dental hygienist has done the cleaning, polishing, checking the teeth, etc., before the dentist came in to do a thorough check of each tooth. However, at this visit, the sulcus depths around the teeth weren't checked and my teeth weren't scaled by anyone--except for the lingual surfaces of my mandibular anterior teeth, which were done by the dentist. Flossing wasn't done between each tooth after polishing. The whole process seemed out of order and the result an incomplete exam. I was disappointed in the services I received, and will look for another dental office where the cleaning/exam is done by both an effective dental hygienist and dentist.
