It took this dentist 2 weeks to review the xray and his receptionist called me and I quote, " we're tired of the follow up calls", he won't extract the tooth causing your sone pain because the wisdom tooth behind it needs to come out as well. The wisdom tooth isn't the issue, it's the broken tooth next to it that needs to come out. I would NEVER recommend this dentist office to my worst enemy. Complete lack of respect and common courtesy for patients and their pain.

A dental assistant flossed a few of my teeth, did a quick polishing, and then the dentist, Michael Slater, came into the room to finish the procedure. In all previous cleanings/checks I have had by other dental offices, a dental hygienist has done the cleaning, polishing, checking the teeth, etc., before the dentist came in to do a thorough check of each tooth. However, at this visit, the sulcus depths around the teeth weren't checked and my teeth weren't scaled by anyone--except for the lingual surfaces of my mandibular anterior teeth, which were done by the dentist. Flossing wasn't done between each tooth after polishing. The whole process seemed out of order and the result an incomplete exam. I was disappointed in the services I received, and will look for another dental office where the cleaning/exam is done by both an effective dental hygienist and dentist.

I stood at the hallway door for 15 minutes as I was the first appointment and they didn't let me in until exactly at 7:00 am. My normal dentist (Dr. Spanel) wasn't there due to schedule changes and they never called to let me know, so he didn't do my exam. In addition they have made the following financial changes..... 1. Charging a credit card processing fee of 3% 2. Requiring you to pay upfront to even schedule the appointment for the work you haven't even gotten done instead of paying on the day you get work done. 3. Have you sign a contract to allowing them to Charge a fee if you don't cancel within a timeframe. ( I've not experienced this but would hope there is some leniency) Either way is very off-putting. 4. They actually have a virtual assistant that answers the phone?!?! Just confirms the lack of interest they have in actually being personable. It's transitional care for financial gain and not focused on the client anymore which is too bad because it was an amazing place.

I found out that Dr. Spanel has sold the practice to a private equity group and he's now working there as an independent contractor. The new owners told the office staff to turn away anybody who wouldn't immediately fill out the MyChart stuff. I was still standing at the front counter discussing the situation when everybody just walked away and left me standing there. I'm glad Dr. Spanel is lining up his retirement, he's a great dentist. The new owners can go pound sand with their demands. Creighton University fills Omaha with batches of new dentists every year, and I am currently shopping for a new dentist.

The front desk staff is incredibly welcoming, the waiting room is cozy, and best of all--zero judgment about my flossing habits (or lack thereof). I have been going to Dr. Franco for longer than I care to say and he and his team are absolute pros. They explain everything clearly, work gently, and even manage to crack a joke while wielding dental instruments like seasoned comedians. Problem is they simply have gotten too big and patients have to wait six months plus to schedule a simple cleaning appointment. I feel like a number and no longer a valued long term patient. They obviously have too many patients and won't hire more staff so my business will go elsewhere.

For the girl who answered the phone Wednesday and said there were 3 Prosthodontists in Nebraska…read more I'm a disabled vet widow who went through everything to obtain Delta Premium Dental that would help me finance the repair of a (VA installed quad zygomatic implant.) One implant failed and 1 bar removed. So in December 2022 when 2 abutments, bar, screw and crown fell out Christmas Eve, I needed help. I found none. VA isn't required to replace the failure and apparently cannot give me advice or suggestions either. Blindly In 2023, $6k to a dental team confident in their abilities to line up and secure my bar, abutments, crowns and screws for my prosthetic. Above his pay grade he stated after he failed to install the screws, he said go to the staff that was familiar with my situation. At the VA, I spoke to my surgeon and reluctant staff tightened 2 screws without being able to speak to my Dentist. My surgeon wanted me to consult with this Dentist so we could plan how to get the 4th implant and new prosthetic started.. In Millard's web page did I find Prosthodontists. I didnt see that they didn't take Delta Insurance. You stated only the Dentists do. Why have a procedure done when you cant get repairs, advice, or insurance? All I wanted was some helpful advice in what to do. You gave a name in Lincoln or I could make a appointment and pay $165.00 to see a dentist in your team. You shut the door in my face with the least amount of effort.Really, how hard is it to leave a message for Dr. Sheridan? Should I have mailed him a letter? The worst he could say is no and most likely you would wait for me to all back. I'll never know. I'll call the surgeon and relay I couldn't afford to pay for 2 insurance plans plus my Medicare/Dental insurance premium along with payments to a Care Credit for dental to have my zygomatic implants repaired or replaced along with a new prosthetic. I have loose hardware that hurts in my face and can do nothing. Emotionally and physically drained I now have no solutions, and bitter to a girl that lacks the skills a patient needs when they are in distress.

I call this place make app. Ask about i have this kind insurance and i need teeth cleaning. They said they take my insurance.ok the day i came to app i still show my insurance and ask them you guys take that. That lady turn around ask another lady. So they said yes. I did my clean cleaning doctor and nurse very nice. Then doctor told me need made app to do filling. I ask lady with shorts hair in the front. Would you know with my insurance how much for filling then.she said you can call find out your own. Ok fine. I go home a month later i got $240 bill. I call ask why my insurance didn't cover for my cleaning. That said they do different types a cleaning that why is not covered. So if the dentist do different kind cleaning at least you guys should let my know. Or something. Just send bill $240. My last cleaning is 100% covered by insurance. Will not comeback for sure.
