I had a permanent retainer put in and when one half came un-bonded, I called the office immediately and was told I would have to pay $90 to have them re-bond the side that came undone. That's ridiculous! It was done late 2019 and permanent retainers SHOULD last 10-20 years not barely 2 years. I ended up going to a more reputable dental office that specializes in orthodontia and only paid $30. Seems to me it's more important for Omaha Ortho to collect $$$ than stand by their product, make it right and keep a patient. Horrible service. Horrible product. Bad bad bad

We were also recommended by our neighbors so I decided to check it out. They also happened to take my current insurance so that made the decision pretty easy. I've gone a few times now for my biannual cleanings and a crown. I appreciate the friendliness of the staff and the communication from Tina who works their front desk and coordinates their appointments. I didn't know what to expect changing dentists but my experience has certainly been different from my previous Dentist. I've noticed that after each appointment I am asked if I want to get a fluoride treatment, since it isn't covered by my insurance they say each time. Each time I've declined then I'm reminded why it's recommended. I understand why they may feel it is important to have that treatment but isn't something I'd like to do. I also found it interesting that they take my blood pressure for a dental appointment, a new experience for me as well. Lately, I've been on the fence about going back to them. I found I feel a little uncomfortable at my appointments and am not quite sure how to describe it. My dental cleanings seem fine enough but my crown appointment I felt myself wishing I had gone somewhere else. Mainly because the temporary crown wasn't secured enough and popped out even when being careful. I should have said something at that appointment that I felt like there wasn't enough glue but I trusted that they did have enough to secure it for the couple weeks needed. I went back so they can secure it and they said I could have purchased something OTC to adhere it until my next appointment. Since then the crown has been okay, sometimes I'm unsure if it's secure but it hasn't come out so that's promising. I certainly think Husker Dental has great staff and the Doctor is a great doctor but I'm wondering if they just aren't a great fit for me specifically and what I seek in care. I may be looking elsewhere to find a Dentist that meats more of my holistic, natural care paired with Western care to provide the kind of Dental care I'm looking for.

Appointment easy to make and staff was helpful. Meeting with Dr Elias for first consult (thinking that a bottom wisdom tooth also could be taken out), he was very calm and explanatory. Back a few days later for surg and, again, staff was very friendly and helpful. Didn't even feel when Nurse Tiffany (I think) put the IV in. It was time and Dr Elias came in and said this initial sedative was just gonna be like having two beers. Well, he don't know ME, now, does he? HA Laid there for a little bit with clock in front of me but didn't even notice it. In what seemed like 5 minutes, he said, "That's it. We're done". I couldn't believe it. Out the door in less than an hour. Kewl. BUT, in addition, about 5:30 last night, our home phone rings. I answer and it's Dr Elias. Asking how I'm doing. WHAT? Who does that? What Dr does that? I could hear kids on back ground so he musta been home. Impressed, I am. Anymore of this type of work is gonna be done here, no doubt. Kudos to all here

She told me ( if you are in any pain after I give u this I don't wanna hear It. Her assistant was drowning me with the rinse tube so she blamed it on me needing my symbacort and oxygen which by the way they didn't adk bout my meds before starting. These people either have no idea what they are doing, or they are scamming people at the cost of their teeth and/or insurance. Always start non-invasive, & non-surgical. They didn't do what they should have done, and wanted to jump straight into surgery. Way to much, when a simple cleaning fixed my issue. I'm actually glad they refused to do my cleaning, there's no telling what damage they would have caused. To sum it up, my second exam revealed my dental issue is no where near as bad as they made it out to be. They had me worried for nothing. There were a lot of red flags, and I'm glad I trusted my gut. Bait and Switch Disaster. No insurance…read more Over the phone they give one price, $209 for the evaluation. I did NOT get a proper evaluation. The dentist only looked at the tooth I mentioned. OK fine, I need a filling replaced. As I already told them over the phone. Then they have a financial person come in. She hands me a bill that says $407. Asks me to sign and confirm that the new price is ok. I sign. The procedure goes OK, except the dentist talks constantly about how she hates the Bellevue office and only wants to be in Papillion. Front desk time. Same Financial person now says the bill is $697. Truly horrible experience.
