TERRIBLE! Do not use APPLIANCE DOCS! Secretary (or lady answering the phone) incredibly RUDE and unhelpful! We should have stopped our inquiry for service at that point... Never honest with us on how long it would take to order a part... and once we did order, took just under 3 weeks versus the "day or two" they originally told us! We had to constantly call for updates... and never received an honest answer! Lady answering phones is exactly what you DON'T want to represent your business! She actually demeaned my wife for calling to ask when they would be able to get the part and fix our appliance...which she had to do numerous times. I thought that was the reason for their business! I have called them more than 6 times to fix a problem that happened AFTER they fixed the first "problem". The first time they were called out, they took fault and did not charge due to it being the fault of the installers. Okay, great, taken care of. A week later, my appliance quit working all together. I made another call, they stated okay, well you will have to pay since we didn't charge you last time. Okay, that's nice, but I have a warranty, so why do I need to pay when this is a NEW issue that was not present before you came to "fix" the problem beforehand. So I called the warranty company. They stated that there were multiple complaints on this particular company, so they would in fact, take care of whatever the issue was. One may ask why I continued to call them? They were the only company contracted through Lowe's that accepted the warranty company. I wasn't going to pay money to have an appliance repaired that I had only had for a few months. They scheduled me for Friday between 8 am and 5 pm. They never showed up. I even gave them until 6 pm, just hoping the ran behind. They were closed on the weekend, so I had to wait until Monday. First thing Monday morning, I call, and the receptionist tells me they never had me in the books. That's funny, considering I spoke with her myself and she confirmed they would be there. So she tells me, well we can't send somebody out until Friday. So, an extra week. Mind you, my appliance had stopped working the Wednesday (less than a week after the came to fix the first issue) previous to me calling on Monday the FIRST time. This time, they actually showed up. They come in, plug it in, BAM, it's working. He said he had brought a part because he was SURE that's what the issue was. Okay, so why not replace it? It is obvious the part is going bad, but not completely broken. But hey, what do I know? I don't repair appliances for a living. A week goes by and, it's not working AGAIN! So I call again, they proceed to tell me, I should have been charged the last time and I wasn't, I will need to pay this time. I said okay, I'm pretty sure the warranty company will pay for it. They tell me NO, I will need to pay for it. Why should I pay for it? The warranty states if it is an underlying, internal issue with the unit itself and not user error, it is covered. So, I have to call the warranty company, the warranty company calls them, tells them WE will pay for the problem, just get out there. So the warranty company calls back, says okay, I've got you an appointment, they should call and confirm with you. Less than 5 minutes later, I receive a call confirming they will be here AGAIN on Friday between 8 am and 5 pm. Cool, now this is only the 5th time I have had to take off of work to get the SAME issue fixed. Friday rolls around, nobody shows up by 4:30 pm. I call the company, the receptionist tells me, you're not on the books. WHAT THE HECK DO YOU MEAN I AM NOT ON THE BOOKS???? Are you KIDDING me? So, not being apologetic, tells me I will have to wait until Monday between 8 am and 1 pm. SERIOUSLY? Then she proceeds to speak with me like I am a child being scorned. She is telling me, "Well, we're not going to come out and fix it for free. You will be charged a service fee on top of what ever the fee is to fix it." Ummm, NO, I will not pay a dime. The warranty company already spoke with you. So the owner gets on, starts belittling my intelligence while he is getting irate and irrational. Finally, he tells me, if we come out again and it works, we WILL charge you a service fee. I call the warranty company AGAIN, tell them what was said. The warranty company tells me to record us trying to start the unit for proof that it does NOT work. So, Monday rolls around, they are almost 30 minutes late. I let them in, within 5 seconds (literally) of looking at the unit, yells to me saying it is my wiring throughout my house. Well, that's funny considering I have NEVER had an issue with my wiring and all of my wiring and plumbing is up to date. So I tell him, contact the warranty company, I'm not paying. He starts to pound his hand onto his fist, speaking to be like a juvenile imbecile telling me " I TOLD YOU THAT YOU WOULD HAVE TO PAY UPON RECEIPT! THE WARRANTY COMPANY WILL NOT COVER THIS! I SPOKE TO YOU LAST WEEK AND TOLD YOU THIS!!!!!!!!!" He continues to speak to me like he is CRAZY, in my home. I told him to leave. He says, well I'm calling the police. Okay, that's fine. It is a civil matter. If you want to call the police and pay a couple grand going to court to get 50 bucks, be my guest. You're from Rolla, I know people here. So go ahead, make yourself feel macho. In the end, they came back in to show me the wattage, and figure out when THEY pulled the unit out, they loosened the cord. Most likely happened the FIRST time they came out. So I still had to pay the service fee, which the warranty company will reimburse and I am filing a claim! read more

Great service! After reading some of the reviews I was skeptical but this company proved them all to be inaccurate. At least based on my experience with them. My Whirlpool dryer (less than 2 months old) stopped working and I had to call the warranty company. They told me they made an appointment with Appliance Docs for the next day and someone from their office would call to confirm. That they did. The very next day around 8:30am they called and scheduled with me. Though they had to call and push the appointment back a couple hours, they still called and made sure it would be okay. Overall, they were great! The woman from the office was very courteous and the serviceman was polite while in my home. So, now knowing from experience, not everything you read on the internet it 100% accurate. However, my experience with this company was much more pleasurable then the other reviews described. I was scheduled warranty repair for our dryer. I took Monday morning off from work to be at the house from 0800-1200 to have the repair completed. I was called at 0839 with a sob story of how they were overbooked and agreed that they would be able to get out between noon and 5pm, (yet more time off from work). I was then again called at 3pm and was told that my claim was "overlooked" and they would not be able to get out until Wednesday at the earliest. The last time I knew the business that was wanting to stay in business provided customer service not excuses. I guess it is standard business practices for everybody to work around their schedule, if that's the case why have a schedule??? I don't know how they are in service... only contracted appliance provider with Lowes is all I can think... GE Geospring water heater issues... Lowes service advantage only contracted repairman in the area 1st issue, water heater quit working. Lowes scheduled a service call for the next day... they didn't even show up. NO CALL NO SHOW... When I called them late in the day they said they never received the work order, then the secretary looked it up and guess what, there it was. She stated they couldn't get out for a week to even look at it . Had to go thru Bradford White to get service... 2nd issue, heat pump fan not working. over 2 months and still no resolution to my issue... Secretary kept saying owner working on it and when I get parts to call and they'll come out and fix it... NOBODY EVER CAME OUT TO DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM SO WHAT PARTS WERE ORDERED????..... Asked for the owner to call me on at least 5 occasions and he never returned my calls... Got fed up with them and called Bradford white... they called Appliance Docs and Lowes and sent me the part. I was to call Lowes and schedule the install part upon receipt. I got the part and lowes scheduled reparir for the next day... Appliance Docs called and said they were unable to come out the next day, ANOTHER WEEK.... Lots of arguing and owner finally got on the phone, more arguing and he finally refused to even come out. Read reviews before you use these folks...They are rude and unprofessional in my opinion. I asked to see the box the parts came in. Owner said box in car and I walked him to his car and asked to see the box to verify new parts to my spouse and he refused and left. Said he had to take used parts to turn in and I called the Lowe s warranty department and they (Lowes) said this was not true. They are terrible all the way around. They didn't show up when they scheduled. After the diagnosis (first visit @ $59) and the repair ($70 after estimated at $50) our refrigerator died again 4 days later. It took two phone calls to get them out again and they didn't show up as scheduled. Then they said the first part they replaced caused another thing to break. Bottom line, we have to pay another $120 to get our refrigerator cold. Why is it our problem when they mis-diagnosed? Very poor customer service as well as non- competent repair crew. Contacted for a status of an order. when informed Owner of an employee action owner used unappropriate, offensive slurs regarding my integrity. During a service call the employee who came to service the product stated that the part had to be ordered and he guaranteed that the part would arrive no later than today 25 October. When I called to get the status of this order, the owner answered the phone and right off the bat began to use a hostile tone of voice towards me when I informed him that his employee has made me a guarantee. Owner called me a liar on multiple occasions which incidentally escalated to the use of profanity by stating "Go F*** Yourself" and he will send the parts back, which concluded with him hanging the phone up one me. Because of this issue I had to contact the retailer of the product and have made a formal complaint to them. I do not believe that a business owner should conduct himself in this type of matter. There are other ways to ensure customer satisfaction then calling the customer a liar and using profanity towards them. I do not trust this company to service my product, nor do I trust this company in my home read more

These Appliance Doc people that GE trusts with handling warranty repairs are by far the most difficult people I have ever had to deal with. First, they misdiagnose my problem with my washer, claiming that it needs a part that is on back-order for 3 weeks. When it does come in, it takes a week for the part to be installed and then the washer still doesn't work. Now it has been another week and after constant calls still no one has been back to try and diagnose the problem. The washer sometimes stops during a cycle, always at the same place, and it cannot be restarted in the same place on the dial. IT DOES NOT NEED A NEW TIMER!! SOMEONE FIX MY WASHER!! read more

WIsh I could give zero stars.. Same issue that many people have had. We made and appointment and they have on record of it. The secretary keeps insisting that they were waiting for me to call back with warranty info, which I did the same day that I first called them. Today when there was no appointment to be found the secretary (Valerie) was not helpful or apologetic at all. She just kept insisting that I hadn't gotten back to them at all to confirm the appointment. Not once did she apologize for the mixup and said she would try to get us in today, but more than likely it would be two more days before they could come out. I got on google to leave them an awful review and then realized that ALL of their reviews are like this! So I tried, once again to give them the benefit of the doubt, and asked to speak to the manager. I thought surely the manager doesn't know that their secretary is being awful to their customers and that cancellation/ not finding appointments is a common occurrence. The manager proceeded to do the same thing the secretary had done!!! Insisted that the secretary was in the right and I had not made an appointment, did not once apologize for the inconvenience, and said they could not make it until two days from now. I even pointed out to him that we had not been apologized to and no one had tried to make this right, to which he replied "I'm not sure what I have to apologize for" ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?!?!?! I have the call logs that prove that I called back several times to give them the warranty info and to confirm the appointment. Both the manager and secretary basically called me a liar.
