This company was assigned the repair of our Maytag washer thru Home Depot/Allstate. Scheduled to perform service July 2. Already been without washer for a week. Wife called them to ensure they were coming. Lady said "No"...we didn't answer her call. She said she emailed and called. Checked every folder of my email...I didn't receive an email. Said she called...it was a cell phone... checked call log and had 4 calls, all from people I know. Said she didn't have anyone available until July 9th. We couldn't wait another week. Lady was totally rude and didn't represent Appliance RX all at all. I've notified Allstate of the problem and they are paying for Honest Abe's to come fix the washer today...1 day after we called. I'll never use these guys for any repairs !!! Wish I could give her a zero !!!! read more

1993 No Frost Freezer, full of meat with lower shelves encased in ice which was also encroaching on fan in condenser, causing noise of incipiant death. Too cowardly to attack this ourselves, we called Appliance Rx. He showed up at appointed hour and within 20 minutes had us ice free, running quietly like new. This would have taken us all day and quite possibly would have ended up with a dead freezer. Don't fool around. Call these experts! They have the knowhow and the right tools and parts at a fair price. read more

We brought our espresso coffee maker in for repairs. After three weeks of waiting they said that it was the water pump that needed to be replaced but they couldn't find the part. I looked on Amazon and found a part in less than a minute. I sent it to them asking if it was the right one and they said it might work. The next week they replied that it would be $346 in addition to the $100 we already paid when we first gave them in the beginning when I know the water pump cost $32. We told them we didn't want them to move forward and picked it up. Now that we have it it is even worse than before. It won't turn on at all now and they messed up the screws and left everything undone in the inside. This is probably the worst experience I've ever had with a business and I don't recommend them to anyone. read more

Do not use this company. My fridge needed repair, it was under warranty, LG sent this company to my home. While repairing my fridge, the worker made a mistake and completely fried my fridge beyond repair. Now, they are only in offering us $2000 for our $4000 fridge. We got this on sale (we waiting for the perfect sale to come around), so they are only wanting to pay the price we paid, not the price to replace our fridge. We cannot get a fridge even almost comparable for $2000!! If you get a car on sale, insurance still has to over full replacement value. I understand depreciation, but $4000 doesn't drop to $2000 in less than 2 years. We had a representative call them to ask for their insurance company information and they became very angry. They started lying a saying we had agreed to the payout price, which we had not. We may end up having to take this company to small claims court. We are contacting LG to let them know they may want to switch the repair company they use in our area. read more

In 10 days it will be 4 months since I reported my A/C Heatpump not working to Electrolux. Appliance RX has been very good about trying to get it fixed, but Frigidaire has sent out the wrong parts twice, and the unit is now shown discontinued. I have called Frigidaire, and Electrolux many times. The unit went out before the hot weather in June, and we suffered through the hotest summer on records with a broken A/C. Like I said earlier it is a heatpump, and provides our main source of heat. Frigidaire now says they will replace the unit after I send in papers, and wait up to 7 days for processing. Then they will ship me a new unit. The first time they shipped me a unit it took almost two weeks. It is now getting into the 30 degrees, and I can't wait for Frigidaire. I will now just replace it myself, and it won't be a Frigidaire, or any other brand that has an Electrolux extended warranty. read more

Had them come out to repair the craft ice maker on my LG refrigerator. They replaced the ice maker and the motherboard. After replacing the technician said oh you have a bad sensor now and that will be another $280. The next day we discovered the ice maker still was not working, neither was the regular ice maker and everything in our refrigerator was frozen. We asked for the technician to come out again and he came in and said "what do you want me to do?" I said I need the refrigerator working and he told me if it was him he'd go buy a new fridge cause LG is crap. They also charged me a 4% fee for using a credit card which I discovered when I saw my cc statement. They did not mention it at the time they took my card and there is no mention of it on the receipt. In addition to all of this I took off work for them to come work on my fridge and they didn't show up on that day. I had to reschedule on a day where I was working and asked them to be there before a specific time and they did not show up when promised. I had a newer dishwasher main control panel go out (GE) and they came out and "fixed" it. I came to use the dishwasher (it is not at my main residence) over the July 4th weekend and it didn't work. I left a message and then called back today to only be told that it was past the 30 day window (11days past the 30 day mark) and there was nothing they could do. They said it was working when they left. They offered to send a tech out and replace it again, at full cost. Very poor customer service not willing to work with a current customer and I am not 100% convinced a new part was put in. If you use them, make sure you are there to actually see the new part go in and it is actually working when they leave. read more

Called to have them service a Whirlpool ice maker. They gave me a time which is a 4 hour window that you have to be available as they do not know when the tech will show up. I find this to be very inconvenient as both my spouse and I have jobs like the rest of the world! They were not willing to let the tech call me to meet at the house. Only option was the 4 hour window between 12-4. So tech shows up at 3pm. After waiting for three hours missing work the tech takes the ice maker completely apart doesn't find anything wrong. Then does a test on a separate part near the coil and says that part is bad but we would have to order it. Had to pay $150 for that service call and ice maker is still not working. Said he would order the part. This was December of 2022. Two months went by with no calls for a return trip back to our home to replace the ordered part so we called them March 2023. They answered after two calls to them. They said oh let us check on the status of your part. We were on hold for 10 minutes until the returned on the line and said oh it's supposed to be in at the end of next week. My impression was that they forgot to order it, as I looked up the same part and was in stock at most appliance repair places and could be delivered directly to me within 2 days. Part finally comes in but they gave us the same option of a 4 hour window for the tech to show up. I don't understand how they can expect people to just take off work to wait for a tech to show up when ever they decide to. Very poor customer service in my opinion. We made an appointment for them with the 4 hour window but told them we would not be able to be ready until 3pm as we both had to work that day, couldn't get off. They said fine they would try to work that out. Tech calls at noon to come out, there was no way for either of us to get off work so we missed that day of getting the unit fixed. They called my wife and she complained about the unwillingness to try and help us out with our schedule. She was told the techs for their company have x amount of jobs for the day and if they finish early they just go home. Pretty nice customer there!!! My wife called twice more to try and get the part installed but they were very rude over the phone so I decided to pick the part up and install myself as it was an easy plug in part. Went to their location walked in and no one was in the building so total waste of my time. My wife called later that day to see if we needed an appointment for a walk in. The lady over the phone was a total smart ass back to her and laughed it off. Went back the next day finally someone was there and picked the part up. Installed it and the ice maker still does not work. I will not use this place again. Their attitudes toward paying customers are very poor. Customer service is a 0 out of 10. I would not recommend them at all, use another company you will be much better off! read more

We had our dryer go out about 3 months ago and they came out and "fixed" it. We waited a couple weeks for the part to come in and they installed it and left. Within a few days it was making a terrible sound and my wife called them to come out and to fix it again. It then worked for just long enough to be close to their 30 day warranty (depending if the warranty was offered from the original service or if it reset since they had to come out again). My wife called them to clarify it and asked if it was still under warranty. They told her it was. Unfortunately it was a total bait and switch tactic. When the tech came out he told her it wasn't under warranty anymore and told my wife he wouldn't fix it unless we payed the new charges. When she said she didn't know that she wanted to keep throwing money at it he demanded she pay the service fee. We have left several messages and they refuse to refund us the service charge, even though we never would have had them come back out if it wasn't still under warranty.
