This was by far the worst customer service experience I've ever had. I called Apria to schedule a pickup for medical equipment, and they told me the local office would contact me within two weeks to arrange it. No one ever called. After the two weeks passed, I called Apria on Monday to follow up. They told me a pickup was already scheduled for that Thursday--something I was never informed about. Thankfully, I called or I would have had no idea. On Thursday morning, I called again to confirm the window, and they said someone would arrive between 10:45 AM and 2:45 PM. At 3:30 PM, with no one having shown up, I called once more and was told the new pickup window was now 3:15 PM to 7 PM. At 4:15 PM, I finally got a call from the pickup driver saying they would be there in 30 minutes. I quickly ran out to the local market, assuming I had a bit of time. But just 12 minutes later, the driver showed up (I confirmed on my house cameras) and called to say he was at my door. I told him I was 15 minutes away and asked if he could wait. This company has the worst customer service ever. They have messed up on every single order I have placed with them. And every time you speak to them they verify name, address, insurance etc. even when you have spoken to them the same day. They cancel/suspend orders without advising you so I've had to follow up on every single order. read more

I just had to leave a review for Apria Healthcare in El Segundo because this team honestly made such a difference during a process that could've been super stressful. I was calling in every single day to check on my work order (probably way more than most people would), and not once did anyone make me feel like a bother. In no particular order, Mia, Brandi, Gracelia, and Lynn were absolute lifesavers. Each of them took the time to explain things, reassure me, and keep everything moving. At one point, my doctor's office messed up a few details on their end, and Apria caught it right away. I have had the absolute worst experience with Apria from day one. They continuously send bills, yet they have never provided an itemized statement of the orders. As a result, I have no way of knowing what portion my insurance covered versus what is truly my responsibility. My husband and I have spent countless hours on the phone with Apria's customer service, and astonishingly, even they cannot provide this basic information. How can any patient trust that the charges are accurate under these circumstances? I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this company to anyone. read more

I scheduled a pickup from my home to return the equipment for a noon-4PM window. P/u driver never showed. After MANY calls to them I was finally told that they could come for the pick-up as late as 9PM. I was quite irritated at that point. The pick-up agent did not seem too happy either. My CPAP machine worked Saturday but not Sunday. I called Apria for 2 days. Finally I was given the phone number to the local El Segundo, CA office. I called and spoke to Louie Vita, who was able to see me that day. It was quick and easy. Louie listened to my problem, calmed me down and checked the machine. He said the problem was definitely the machine and I received a new one. Louis is very professional, understanding, friendly, and definitely knowledgeable. He even gave me hints no one else had given me. Apria should hire more people like Louie! read more

This is the most incompetent company I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. They can't even fill a simple order. The customer service people do not know the products they sell, nor what has been prescribed. I learned more from Google than I did from Kat, the customer service rep I spoke to first. Respiratory Luis Vita came out to Kaiser Hospital Harbor City this afternoon and did an Amazing presentation on the operation of my Moms New Bpap Machine. I along with my sister were extremely impressed with the knowledge that Luis possessed and great attention to detail, in an effort to teach us on the various nuances that come with the operation of this very crucial piece of equipment. His Customer service, professionalism and knowledge were second to none and should my mom require any further assistance and equipment i hope that it his him that we are continued to be blessed with. Horrible customer service. I have been contacting this company since may (my mom passed in April) because they said we didn't return a bed but we did. They have all the paperwork showing that it was picked up but I keep getting the same spill from customer service... we will send an email to the warehouse and they will contact you. Well it's July no phone call and I have been trying to settle this since may. Then I find out my mom has 2 accounts and that there was a delivery in july(impossible). I have kaiser and I took my mothers old transport chair to exchange for a new one. The one that they gave her is horrible it is so narrow my mom can't fit and she is a small lady, it was made for a child and her legs are up in her chest and the chair cannot be adjusted and the chair is much heavier than the old one, that I have to lift into my car, and I'm 75 and she is 93 I will be calling them tomorrow, and also calling Kaiser to complain. read more

This review/rating is for the company in general not necessarily the field branch. How Apria is not on some kind of blacklist or sanctioned is totally beyond me! Their customer service is absolutely ABYSMAL. Dealing with them is horrendous and the employees are like robots when they feebly attempt to answer any questions you may have. Coming to any kind of resolution to your problem is basically impossible. They deliver canned responses to all queries are unacceptable. They are incapable of explaining anything. I have been attempting to deal with Apria for around 3 years and not once have I had a halfway decent experience with anyone associated with this company. Almost every week I get recorded phone calls saying " we are calling to check on our patient" all they are doing is trying to sell you more supplies. If you look online at Apria reviews you will see ratings of 1.09 from BBB, 1.5 on Trust Pilot, 1.9 on Consumer Affairs and 1.5 on Yelp. If I could I would rate them less than 1 star. I implore you, if you can find an alternative company to buy medical supplies from you should run to them before ever considering this total disgrace of a company. read more

What a bunch of jerks. My DR ordered a O2 concentrator over a week ago. They faxed the orders and we faxed the order as well. I call for an ETA and I only get the obnoxious " we appreciate your patience bla bla bla and then they try to sell you some of their other products that you don't need and wont get off the line till I hang up. Phenomenally bad customer service in the Philippines. During an hour-long customer service call, I asked a simple question over and over and over and over and over and over and over. I never got an answer. I asked to speak to a supervisor over and over and over and over and over and over and over. When I FINALLY got to speak to a supervisor (again someone for whom English was not a native language) I had to repeat my question over and over and over and over and over and over and over. I STILL never got an answer. The supervisor could not tell me where their corporate headquarters was or who was in charge. They referred me to the local office which is only open 9-4 local time. Marie was able to initiate a visual call where she could see my machine, the fit of my mask and help change some of the important settings. This insensitive, unresponsive company has poor service and heavy-handed collection tactics. It's the company, not this particular branch, that vexes me. After my doctor and insurance company approved a CPAP machine, it took several months and dozens of calls to Apria to get delivery. April continues to harass me daily for collection of the bill for the CPAP machine, despite my sending them proof that my insurance company approved the products for which I am being billed. Customer service agents read from a script that includes multiple apologies, zero listening skills, zero follow-up despite promises, and repeated demands for money I don't owe. I've asked them to contact my insurance company and they just repeat their demands for money, saying the insurance company denied my claim -- which is BS. They make you feel less than human. After asking to speak to a manager and threatening a lawsuit for Apria's harassing bill collection tactics, Apria is arranging a call with my medical insurance to clear this up. If you have a choice, go elsewhere. read more
