Of course they re-rent the equipment ...how nice for them. Very disappointed. We never had a chance to use the lift as my friend died.

When I went to the doctor he put me in a cast for 4 weeks and said I was to be non-weight bearing for the same time. Needless to say, his treatment was a game changer for me. I was panicked at my new life station. How was I going to get around campus to my job? How was I going to get into my house? Crutches just would not work for me. I am far to clumsy for crutches. My doctor told me about Criticare and so I went there looking for a knee scooter. They fixed me up in no time at all. They showed me how to use the scooter and get on my merry way. The scooter was terrific. A week after I had the scooter, I had another little spill when I had to swerve to miss someone who stepped in my way. The scooter wheel alignment was off so I took it back to Criticare for what I thought would be a quick repair. I was wrong... there was no quick work around for this issue. They were going to have to keep the scooter to fix. The problem was they did not have a replacement scooter. They were all rented out. I panicked because there was no way for me to get from Point A to Point B without this device. Criticare offered all sorts of alternatives, they looked high and low for a replacement. When they realized they did not have another scooter, they called a competitor to find a scooter for me. They reserved it in my name and gave me directions to the other store. I could not believe how kind and generous they were to me. Not many businesses would send you to a competitor. I was overwhelmed. The staff is top rate and so very caring. They do everything possible to get you comfortable and to find the right product for you. When other customers came in for service, you could tell they formed a personal relationship with the customer. They were friendly and remembered details about the customers. One of the staff members said to me, "I remember you! You were here a week ago, weren't you, Tracy?" She was spot on. Great place and wide selection of materials.

Took multiple weeks to receive another bed, same installer was sent to assemble. Bed failed withing 24 hours. Eric promised for weeks that a new bed was on the way while my father remained bed bound with no capability to sit up. Eric consistently over-promised and under-delivered on his deadlines - everyday would promise the bed would be delivered tomorrow - for weeks. We purchased a bed from an alternate vendor, and have spent months trying to get the bed returned, the bed was returned and received by Eric over 5 weeks ago - everyday he promises he has sent the refund or will send it today or I should receive it today - he always has a story. Finally today after threatening to escalate I received a $500 refund, a fraction of what the bed and other equipment cost. My experience has been that Eric is a very personable person who will over promise, under deliver and constantly lie to avoid accepting accountability for his failures, he will sound very convincing and authentic on the phone but will never follow through with his promises and will lie at every opportunity to avoid responsibility. I wouldn't wish Happy Living Medical Sales on my worst enemy.

But Eric talked me through the process to discover the problem. It was a minor fix. The big deal is that Eric wasn't the one who sold me this chair. It was an unknown online dealer! Eric could have treated me completely differently. He could have insisted on a service call. He could have told me it was the motor and really racked up the bill. But this man is completely ethical! He's an honest man of high character. I can't say enough good things about this man and his company. If you are looking for any kind of products that he sells, buy it from this company and this man. Wow!

I truly wanted this to be the right place for my mother, and I spent months working collaboratively…read morewith on-site staff and corporate leadership to address ongoing concerns. Unfortunately, the issues were systemic and did not improve over time. We experienced repeated communication breakdowns related to medical care, medications, and basic coordination. Information from different staff members often conflicted, and follow-up to urgent questions routinely took days rather than hours. More concerning were issues related to health, safety, and dignity. After water intrusion in my mother's room, professional mold remediation was not completed for approximately two weeks, despite the risks this presents for elderly residents. During that time, there was no clear communication about mitigation or next steps. Staffing and response times were also a serious concern. There were multiple instances where my mother was left waiting on the toilet for extended periods after activating her call pendant. In our experience, only a small number of aides consistently responded, while others were frequently unavailable. This is not a matter of convenience -- it directly impacts resident dignity and safety. I escalated concerns appropriately and worked directly with both the COO and the CEO. Despite this, there was no meaningful improvement. At one point, senior leadership suggested that "maybe your mom needs to leave," rather than addressing the ongoing issues. That comment made it clear that advocacy was being treated as a problem instead of a partnership. Assisted living depends on trust, communication, and accountability. When legitimate concerns about care, staffing, and safety are minimized or deflected, trust erodes quickly. I'm sharing this so other families know to ask detailed questions, document everything, and pay close attention to how concerns are handled over time.
