Terrible on delivery on customer service and everything they stand for. Was supposed to get a walker for knee replacement. Still didn't receive up until day before my surgery. My specialist had to contact this location just to push for providing me a CPAP machine. Why would the customer make follow ups? We've got the insurance. Talk to them, and help us with what we needs. They basically just took too long. I had no issues finding the place, and enough parking. Set up my appointment, and picked up what I needed. If I could give this company a negative star rating, I absolutely would. This company is SHADY and could NOT care less about the patients it serves. This company only cares about its profits. I don't know why Kaiser does business with this company. Long story short, I rented a breast pump from them through Kaiser. I did everything I was told to do, but still they kept sending robo-calls to demand I give them the breast pump back. I spoke with them on two occasions; once when I called them after receiving a letter and another time when I called back after receiving a voice message. One rude customer service lady I spoke to treated me as if I was trying to keep the breast pump. Yes, she treated me like I was trying to avoid them because I didn't answer their robo-calls. Listen here stupid lady, I don't answer calls from numbers I don't recognize. Why would I answer if I wasn't expecting a call from Apria?! The two customer service people I spoke to said I was good until the second week of January, just to give them a call and they would pick up the pump. Why did two people from Apria tell me all was good, but then they changed the script and sent me a bill for $588?!!!! What is wrong with you guys!!! Then, on top of that, they sent my account to collections before the bill (which was a mistake in Apria's fault) was even due!! I had already talked to Kaiser and Apria and I still got a call from collections!!! All I keep hearing from Apria was "oh, you talked to us, we'll, it's not in our notes and we robo-called you.." How convenient that the times I spoke with Apria reps are the only times notes weren't kept. This right here is what's wrong with our health care system. Companies like this have too much freedom to screw people over. I swear, if this shit comes up on my credit report, I swear I will sue Apria in a heartbeat. You bet I'm complaining to Kaiser about this. I did everything I was asked to do for this rental but this company is a snake in the grass looking for any way to screw over its customers. Pathetic. The worst customer service I have ever experienced! They flat out lied to me for 3 weeks about getting a re authorization from my medical group and then tried to tell me my order went out, but to my old address from 7 years ago!? Really?!? Every time I try to call, the person I request has conveniently "stepped away from their desk". After calling my medical group for the third time, I was told there has NOT been any requests come to them from Apria. NOTHING Is this how you treat your customers Apria? Especially when dealing with sensitive equipment that should be changed monthly? Is Apria going to pay my bills when I am hospitalized because I couldn't get new equipment that I am entitled to???? I was very reluctant to go to them in the beginning as I had seen so many negative remarks on Apria on Yelp. I did have difficulty getting hold of them on phone. I was in a bind as I did not have much time and I was leaving for vacations soon. I ended up going to them. I was greeted by front person who took me to one of the room. The assistant Lisa came in a few minutes thereafter. She informed me of the details of CPAP machine, it's directions, uses and other details. She answered questions and then helped me a trail. The machine has worked out well. Overall the experience was smooth and without any difficulties so far. It's been 2 weeks. I am very satisfied if all experiences are like this. Extremely poor customer service. I was on hold for just over 21 minutes waiting for them to answer because I needed help with some medical equipment they sold me the day before. Shame on Apria. Apria is by far the absolute worst company I have dealt with. I have a defective CPAP machine and it takes me about 4-5 attempts of 20-30 mins wait each time with their customer service to raise a request so someone from their Livermore office to call me. I missed one of those calls since I was driving, so I am starting over with the customer service again. The phone number left by the "specialist" at Livermore sends you back to the customer service. Customer service won't give me the direct phone number of the Livermore office as well. I am surprised this company is still in business. I won't even get started with the supplies. The best way to get some attention is to change the credit card number they have on file, they will promptly call you back. I will do everything I can to leave Apria. Although they have some very caring and helpful employees, try and get through to one. I am writing this review after being on hold and listening to the recorded, bland music for over 60 minutes. If they really cared about patients, they would have enough people to respond to your call. Note this review relates to the corporate call center and not specifically this office. My mother-in-law was moving in with us and I was trying to get an oxygen concentrator ready for her. The main problem is Apria is definitely not a communications company. They fax a request and the doctor faxes back a response. If they don't see exactly what they want they will keep doing this until they get bored and cancel the order. I tried having them have human talk to another human at the doctors office by talking with a supervisor. As of Monday after the Doctor made another effort to present what they wanted, but Apria still gives the same response "we need the test results for . . .". Secondly my impression is that their order/ticket/case system makes no distinction between milestones and notes, as it takes a while for the agent to find where this request stands. It's a nightmare with a headache on the side. read more

Delivered a medical bed 2 weeks after it was supposed to arrive, my mom died waiting. We cancelled it the day after she died, and told them not to dare deliver it. Well-deserving of ZERO stars! I have toughed it out, getting CPAP supplies from this place for a few years now. But this last time, it took 7 weeks, plus several hour-long phone calls to get standard, common, stuff that I'm supposed to get every 6 months. They take a week to do each little step. And they require additional paperwork, etc, that is simply not necessary. They attribute this to the insurance company, but I called the insurance company and confirmed that what Apria was requiring was unnecessary. But I finally asked my insurance company if there was some other way to get these standard supplies. They said "SURE!" and explained that I can order them myself and submit the bill to them. Good bye Apria!!!!! I encourage anybody that is directed to Apria for CPAP supplies to ask about buying your supplies yourself and submitting bills to your insurance carrier. I used them for my cpap supplies and had a terrible experience. I went to them and they fitted me with a mask that ended up not working so my doctor asked them to order another one and they gave me a hard time refusing to work with me - so my doctor had to send them a prescription to change it and the push back was unbelievable - finally I received the new mask and it didn't fit - so I asked them to order another one in a bigger size and they said nope - you can't get another one for another 6 months - your insurance won't cover it - but I had already called my insurance and they had said it would be covered - Apria wouldn't hear any of it and flat out refused to help me - so I called another provider and they ordered me the new mask my insurance covered it and it arrived the next day - never using this supplier again. read more

Take a look at Yelp reviews for all locations of Apria. The average looks like about 1 1/2 stars. This is an organization with absolutely NO interest is customer service. (1) HUGELY inflated prices. The price you will pay for your deductibles is higher than the cost of the same equipment or supplies online. (2) DO NOT BELIEVE anything that a representative or Manager tells you over the phone. Get it in writing before you pay a dime. I was told unequivocally that paying an invoice would give me ownership of a CPAP machine. In the end, I paid $1,900 out of pocket for a device that is broadly available for $800... AND my insurance company paid an equivalent amount. TWICE - my first insurance paid also (3) Their billing is a disaster. I am receiving invoices in February for supplies purchased in June of last year. I', supposed to pull up old records to confirm whether insurance pas billed, whether they declined, etc... (4) they outsource claims and receivables to a thrid party who makes you wait 25 minutes on hold to reach a live person, and when you reach them they have no service details, they only hound you for the money. Look at these guys ABOMINABLE satisfaction ratings accross the board. Find any alternative you can, these guys are the absolute worst of the worst. read more

At around noon I finally called to inquire about the time frame. I called an 800 number so this review is not related to any particular office. I would not recommend this company in a million years and it is beyond me how they even remain in business. They have been to my home four times now to replace faulty oxygen machines. Not only do the machines not work but trying to get help when this happens is a joke. After being on the phone for 30 minutes and explaining my problem three times, the person on the phone never could get it right enough to document it in their system. I asked to talk to someone who knew something about oxygen equipment and she transferred me to a number with a recording on the line that said the office was closed and promptly disconnected me. When I tried to call back no one answered the phone.I can't even begin to say how frustrating my experiences with Apria have been. If I was not a Kaiser patient I would not be using them but at this point they are the only choice! How unfortunate that is. They also keep telling me that my account is delinquent and my bill is automatically paid by my bank every month on time! Who knows what they do with the checks??This is by far the worst business of any kind that I have had to deal with EVER. Not a good thing for people who depend on an oxygen supply to survive! And Apria, please don't respond to my complaint with that same apology that you send out to everyone who complains about your bad customer service. You don't care and you have made that very clear. Apria Health care is worst people here. My wife had sleep APNEA and doctor recommended them. We took equipment and CIGNA /APNEA told after six months equipment will be ours this equipment we took in in Dec 2014. I shifted job we had coverage from CIGNA till June 2015. Then started our ordeal with APRIA Billing department. They started charging our credit card for 107.42 every month we contacted them asking them that either we will return their equipment and stop billing their equipement cost (550 dollars or less than $600). They don't stop they keep billing every month when we call no one picks phone. A prescription was written for a CPAP machine. Apria contacted me and when I called them back the rep said they did not have my prescription. In order for them to have initiated the call to me they would have to have the script. Rep kept talking over me and when I requested to speak with a supervisor I was put on hold for 30 minutes to have rep come back and say none was available. Did not have a good experience with them. My original breast pump had broke, found out that my insurance covered a test pump if I go it thru a medical equipment company. Gave apria a call and had my doc fax an order to them that day. It's been quite a few weeks and no word from them. Stay away! This place is shady, and is the worst business I have ever dealt with. They overcharge your insurance to collect as much money from you, being your deductible, and your insurance company. They neglect to tell you in your initial setup conversation what they bill you for every month. I was told nothing about the humidifier for my cpap machine being a purchase. They charged my insurance it's maximum of $1000 for the humidifier, which cost me $400 on deductible. This humidifier only costs $250 retail from resmed. When I called to inquire about this to their office and billing center I was treated with the worst service I have ever had. I was actually told to shut up and stop talking by their billing department. I returned the equipment and could get none of my money back. I no longer have the machine and I'm out the money. My rental agreement started on 7/17 and I returned it on 9/18 and according to their rental agreement they can charge for the whole month off of 1 day. I have never heard that before in renting a car, an apartment, even on paying a cable tv bill. You never pay for a whole month off of one day. If you must use them, and I hope you only go to this place if someone is putting a gun to your head to do it, read everything and question everything. Worst customer service ever! They have so many different satellites, all stationed out of the area. You can't even speak with a person who speaks proper English from a local branch! I was told I would receive my nebulizer on Friday.........no show, then told I would on Monday........no show. I call Monday and was disconnected 5 times!! Finally spoke with someone O could not understand to be told oh we need your credit card information to complete the process. Wtf?!!? And you couldn't tell me this on Friday when I spoke with someone 5 different times??? Credit card info was given just to be disconnected again! Get a call back stating the process takes 3-5 business days and Apria will be calling me to see of I want the nebulizer delivered or do I want to drive 20 miles to pick up?
