I was thoroughly impressed with this place. Newer to the area and I called wanting to get a balayage service with warm undertones. I was told that I could absolutely walk in and I took full advantage of that. When you walk in it is very clean and has a welcoming atmosphere and they play soft music so it's not dead silent. The ladies did a great job on my hair. I have a lot of hair and they did such a great job on my balayage. I also got a haircut. And then Stephani did an eyebrow mapping and threading service. And I have to say I'm so paranoid getting my brows done because I usually have to let them grow back in before I can even touch them again. And I was very happy. I've been seeing Liz for all my hair needs since I moved here a few years ago. It's always difficult to find your hair girl and thank goodness I found Liz. She not only does a great job with my hair color and cut but she's also professional, personable and genuinely cares about you. I was so sad when I had to move out of state but whenever I come visit family, I make sure to schedule a hair appointment with Liz. It's like seeing a good friend while getting my hair touched up. I'm not sure how much they paid people to give this place a five star review but it's definitely a minus review type of place. Between the gossiping and the high school mean girls attitudes. Liz is probably the worst one out of all of them. Just overhear them talking there in the conversation is very immature as a business owner. This salon is far from professional and the work is far from quality. You'd probably get a better cut at the beauty college. They're lucky there's not a lawsuit, pending for harassment of their employees go take a management classes and a business owning class and how to treat employees just the language and the gossip in there is over the top. I come to get my hair done not to listen to a bunch of bullshit. The ghetto mentality. You know like your mama always said don't let the atmosphere fool you. Some people say your relationship with your hair stylist is more important than the one with your doctor - and sometimes it's hard to disagree. I met Liz before Covid when I was looking for a hair salon closer to my home in the San Mateo area. I quickly discovered that she was incredibly talented, a joy to be around and a master of her craft. Every time I saw her I felt completely transformed inside and out. Outside because I'd walk out of her salon with gorgeous hair every single time - and inside because of her kindness, empathy, and bubbly, sociable personality. My teenage daughter equally loved her, and looked to Liz for tips on makeup, hair and skincare as Liz also happens to be drop dead gorgeous, and always perfectly put together. She's also an expert on a wide range of procedures including Brazilian treatments, blowouts, extensions and highlights. In my opinion she was one of the best hair stylists in the SF Bay Area, which is why I was devastated when she moved to Patterson, a small town in a rural part of California. It felt like an unresolvable crisis, and I had visions of attending Zoom calls and social events with a head of hair so hideous and unkempt, it would scare people. It then struck me that Patterson wasn't that far away from the Bay area. So I booked my next appointment with Liz on a Saturday and drove 2 hours through miles of gorgeous California countryside, rolling green hills, fields dotted with cows and horses, vineyards full of symmetrical gape vines, farms, ranches, stands on the highway selling avocados, olives, honey, cherries, oranges and so much more! Whether you live in Patterson/Modesto/Tracy or in the SF Bay and just want a nice day trip to improve both mind and body, I highly recommend Liz at Apricot Beauty Studio in Patterson - the best that Bay Area has to offer transplanted in a small town with a lot of charm.
