I walk in with hair down to my…read moreknees, and some grown out highlights that Layla did for me in August. the color she put me last time was to sliver for me and we also did a shadow root keeping some of my natural brown, but when it grew out it became brassy and orange. I tell Layla this time I don't want brown or orange or a shadow root. I say I'd like to be as blonde as possible.( my hair is extremely healthy I take great care of it) she tells me it's no problem. I sit and she is going on and on about a haircut, when she knows I don't cut my hair..I agree to getting long layers since she told me it would take any length off just give me more body in my hair. cap. by the first cut she took of around 2 inches off my length, (after 'showing me how much she'd take off' which was not even an inch off my ends.) I say nothing. I think that's the end of it. i tell her I'd like the scandì root, she says no, it won't look good. okay, whatever. she adds my bleach and leaves out the ends of my hair...my ends are brassy orange gold and brown..my roots are completely brown she doesn't put bleach on my roots, the inspo pic she said she could 100% had a scandì root, no brown. bleached root, light ends. one color. she rinsed the bleach it looks light, she then goes behind me and tells me she's making sure everything is even..she cuts my hair again. she puts the toner rinsed it; I sit back in the chair, she's blow drying and 'styling my hair' she usually curls it; she does not. she knows she fucked up at this point, she knows what i am about my Hair, she knows if she curls it it'll be to my jaw. she still has not let me see it. at all. I ask her again how much have you taken off all together? she says one inch just now, she took off more? I say no, all together, she says let's see how it looks when it's blow dryed. ok. she goes back to 'fix' my layers and make sure it's 'even' again..not asking me at this point , then she stops and asks me it she can go and fix the choppyness at my ends because apparently if I don't my hair will look really bad. I say sure, i grab a piece of my hair and I show her how much she can take off, very very little bit, she goes where my fingers were on my hair with her scissors and freaking cuts it a lot higher then I said. and then has the nerve to say 'here? or higher?' ...i walked out that day with hair to my shoulders couldn't even look in the mirror until i was home hours later, orange roots (not my own she put a shadow root that is to light of a brown for my natural brown again!), six different colors, sliver and blue being the most noticeable, and my hair feels dry. it never feels dry. idk what she did but I'm devastated. on top of that she told me over the phone 275 she told me 350 at the counter after everything was already done. I paid her, told her thanks, and left. not in the mood to embarrass her in front of her colleagues. but im devastated. my hair was my everything.

I booked a 12 pm appointment for a balayage and cut. I used the Vagaro app something that I've used at many other places. I show up to my appointment and wait. I'm checked in on twice and was told I'd be seen soon. Well I wasn't. In reality I was waiting over 40 minutes and by the time I would have been seen it'd be almost an hour past my scheduled appointment. Really if the reverse situation happened and I was that late not only would they have already cancelled my appointment they would have charged me a fee. What's icing on the cake is another customer had a 12:30 appointment and came in much after me and was seen before me :/. I'm glad it worked out for him. But honestly the customer service was terrible for me. I felt so frustrated and sad on what was supposed to be a fun self care me time. I don't need an excuse and a reason for your mistake. Own up to it. If you do care about your customer then do something about it. Don't just smile and give some excuse that it's okay and it's not that late. I would have preferred to be called or texted. If you're running late let your customer know. Don't lie and force them to sit and wait with not knowing when they'll be seen. Perhaps you should have asked me if a 1 pm appointment would have been okay. But instead they did not do that. They told me it would be soon when in reality it was much much later. They had no regard for my feelings or time. I also have found that in order to try to catch up on time to make for another appointment (whoever would have been after me) there's always a risk that they might rush you. And that is not something I want to ever risk for my hair and color. My time is valuable too and that was disregarded and disrespected. Unfortunately I won't be coming back. Customer service is everything in the business I choose to support.
