An awful agent, all the bad boxes ticked. I was moving to Maine from California and had done a lot of research about the area and gotten down to a couple of potential houses. I chose her out of a hat and expected her to be competent and trustworthy; the opposite was true. She would drag her feet in replying to responses, including signed paperwork she had requested from me, even when she had sent me documents and said they were urgent, so badly that by the time she finally got around to doing her job, I had to hire a last-minute fly-by-night moving company, which was a disaster. More importantly, she withheld important material disclosures and represented the house as in good shape (it was not at all and has cost me thousands to repair). And every single vendor or service she recommended to me to use cheated me or did a bad job or were incompetent and one clearly was like that to me because I was a newcomer (they very negatively asked me many questions about where I was from and then cheated me), but no service I found myself did that. To add insult to injury, I had expressed a concern that I would know no one here and she volunteered to be my first friend (to my surprise, actually, since that wasn't part of her job). But once I was here and had completed the purchase, she didn't even come back to retrieve her own sign. Then three times in cafes she looked right through me like she didn't know who I was and the fourth time looked directly at me and sneered. She may be an ok agent for locals looking for a new house, but if you are moving here from another state, beware. She seems to be the type that groups with others to take advantage of newcomers while treating them far less than well. In one word, slimy. Try Better Homes and Gardens Realty.
