Daigle Property Maintenance - 7-31-22  Outside of Fence Choking out Lillies

    Daigle Property Maintenance

    (1 review)

Originally because my Pomeranian is allergic to grass, we had Daigle's Property Maintenance in…read morePresque Isle, Maine (Bruce Daigle Owner) install a flagstone patio in 2020. We decided because of the cost we would make it into living quarters for my husband and myself to enjoy during the pandemic in 2021 and on. In May of 2021 I called Mr. Daigle and informed him that many weeds were coming up through and the mortar didn't take. Little did I know that it was actually Palamer Sand he put between the stones instead of mortar. He led me to believe it would harden such as mortar. and I never knew the difference seeing I've never had one installed before this one. He also put too much force behind when setting it with water, and it blew on my stones turning them cream and tan. Flagstone is an attractive brown. When contacted, he always promised to come in 2 weeks, 2 weeks, 2 weeks. Two weeks never came and later stated he was too many men short to do anything. Therefore, it went unattended and we couldn't use it. Not even a chair could sit on it without one or two legs sinking. There was also no way to put a patio table, patio swing or pit as we planned. I informed him it could quite possibly be my husbands last year to go outside and enjoy, but that made no difference to him. My husband passed this Spring before snow left and he never got to sit outside on it even once! Not ONCE!!! Backing up to last Fall, we had a couple come cut down weeds before snowfall. Most weeds could not be weed whacked, but had to be bush hogged because they were so tall and stems so thick. I had this done so that my Pomeranian could at least go outside on the snow, but the snow had to cover the weeds, which they accomplished when they cleared what they were able. They had 5-6 huge piles of weeds and it took all afternoon into evening! My cost! It's now 2022 and I'm in fear of losing my Pomeranian due to other medical complications. He is 5 years old and because of the grass in 2019, he was blocked off on a small deck. In 2021 it was the weeds from Daigne's work, and this year of 2022 it's the seven foot tall weeds (YES, 7 feet tall)!!! So for three years out of his five years of life, he's only been able to go outside being blocked of on a small deck! I am beyond grief, as my husband didn't get a chance to enjoy it even one day and my Pomeranian now has health issues besides the allergies to grass that threaten his life. I so wanted to have him enjoy life a little this summer. However, Summer is almost over and Bruce Daigle's 2 weeks has never come. I REALLY NEED to have this corrected. However, I cannot contact him. He has me blocked off on Facebook, blocked me on his phone and I can't even get to his site due to the fact he has me blocked there also. I do NOT find this actions of an "innocent man" or even a "good business man"! He's enjoying his "summer toys" while I and my Pomeranian are stuck inside!!! He is heartless, immature and also ignorant of anyone's feelings except his own. I'm including photos of the 7 foot++ tall weeds. When looking at them, keep in mind that is a 6 foot chain link fence they tower above (!!!!) and I can't even get out on the patio now! You can only see the bar across the chain link fence in a few pictures. These are weeds that came from his sand which was put before laying the flag stone! I am guessing he forgot his weed block in order to cut curners! The weeds even spread to the outside of the chain link fence, choking out my Lillies. Check the photos. Do I have reason to be upset, or am I just overreacting??!?? If you plan on hiring Daigle's Property Maintenence in Presque Isle, I only have three words for you ~ Don't Do It. OMGosh....... DON'T DO IT!!! ***When looking at photos, the deck is up 2 feet off the ground, then the rail extends up 3 feet above that. When looking for the 6 foot fence, you will see only the top bar going across in some photos. In others, the weeds are so thick that you can't see it at all.***
