We were very late in checking in, and the owners stayed to welcome me. That really shows they care about their business and they are professional and friendly. If you were going on a fishing expedition, this would be a very good option as it has several amenities: fish freezers, a LARGE outdoor jacuzzi (clean and HOT!), most cabins have kitchens, and it even has a canoe for communal use (they have new lifejackets in variety of sizes.) I didn't bring my computer, but they also have wireless. I brought a DVD, but unfortunately my room didn't have a DVD player. They have satellite cable with flatscreen tvs. My room was small, but the linens were very comfy and the price was very low; I feel I got an excellent value. It looks like they have great options for both small and big parties. A large group could rent a whole house, and they have private, 2-person cabins for those on a quiet getaway. I would definitely stay here again.

The accommodations are very nice and Dave and Katie have added several conveniences, such as Wi-Fi, washer/dryers, BBQ's, a hot tub, and canoe for the lake to name a few. I stayed in the Mallard Cabin which had a small kitchen, living room, bed room and bathroom. It was perfectly sized for a couple or a couple with small children. The cabin was well equipped and comfortable. Alaska Serenity Lodge is conveniently located five minutes from Soldotna and the Kenai River. There was plenty to do in my off time, I was fortunate enough to catch a 100 Halibut during my stay. I have traveled all over the world and put Alaska Serenity Lodge at the top of my list for all around great places

We searched high and low for different charters, and finally, we came across Long Live the Kings. I cannot tell you how extremely satisfied we were with our trip. Not only did we have the coolest fishing guide, but we also lucked out with some really awesome kings. Ray, our fishing guide, was accommodating and very personable. We were a rowdy bunch, and he still managed to put up with us really well! I would highly recommend Long Live the Kings fishing charter for any of your fishing needs. Its a stone's throw from the river, which makes this popular with locals when the fish are running and the banks are swamped. The RV hook up sites are fancy and even have a dog park and fancy picnic tables. The dry tent sites have chemical toilets and a mix of wooded and open camp sites, depending on your anxiety about animals. This place is a little tricky to find, just look for the airport- its directly BEHIND IT. It runs parallel and has an entrance at either end.

This isn't your typical outfitter. Not only do they focus on the fishing, but they make sure EVERYTHING is taken care if for you. No need to haul your gear from home, just show up and you'll use their top-end equipment from Orvis, Simms, etc. Their guides are absolutely top notch. The guys put us on the fish each day, cleaned our catches and took it to the processor for freezing and shipping without a blink. You can tell the owners take care of them; not much turnover and the guides speak highly of the place. The food is outstanding! JR and his team knocked it out of the park with each meal, and there's never a shortage of wines and cigars to go along with the great food. What else can I say.....TRL gives you a perfect combination of great fishing, awesome food, big laughs and amazing value.

John and Jackie were so friendly and outgoing. They took us horseback riding, offered to take us fishing, and invited us up to their house for coffee and banana bread. We stayed in the larger cabin and we loved it. We had a great view of the horses, had our own outdoor grill, and our own little cabin getaway. We are planning to go back to Alaska next year and will be definitely staying again.
