Lots of people were dropping off their salmon. When you drop off salmon they place it in a crate and weigh then write a ticket. The place a ticket on the crate and give you a copy. The ticket has your name, date, weight of fish, type of fish, and unique number. We went to pick up the fish and they misplaced about 50 lbs of fish. They were apologetic and replaced the lost fish. I am not sure where the fish came from or how it was handled. That was somewhat dis-appointing, but stuff happens. If that was it, probably just deal. When we got home we defrosted some of the packets and they did a terrible job trimming the salmon. It contained allot of rib bones and they folded over the filets and sealed in one pouch. Which makes it difficult to thaw under water if you wanted to prepare the salmon without defrosting in the fridge overnight. Most of the staff working their appear to be in school. Nothing wrong with that, but there just seems like a lack of accountability. An Alaska fishing trip is very expensive, if we do this again, we will seek out another processor or do it ourselves.

Ez limit's service was so bad, that I believe this is the first non 5 star review that I have ever…read moregiven. And this is only 1 star because zero stars i isn't an option. First Ez limit is basically a booking service and just sells your purchase to other guides. So you have zero idea who you will actually go with and their qualifications. Secondly they overbook assuming some will cancel, but will not give refunds for their overbooking . My family of eight was told two days prior to one of three dates we had booked that they could only fill 5 of the slots 6 slots that they had billed us and I had paid. On their site they advertise their services are better because they offer " Quality less rushed all day charters". However on the first day the guide Greg assigned to us told us at 12:30 that we had 20 minutes left to catch our remaining fish before Greg had his next guides coming in that would need our spot. Had I not been able to find another guide, Ez limit would have destroyed our trip to Alaska, including my 3 grandkids. Very rude when I asked if my 4 times deployed son in law could get a military discount. They could have jest said no. My strong advice is to choose a guide service that will actually be the guide who will be taking you, not just reselling to others. We did all three. You'll need to rent a car and drive 2.5 hours from Anchorage. These are nice cabins with kitchens so you'll need to shop although it's 10 minutes to dozens of restaurants. Communication is simply top notch. Highly responsive, quick to tackle anything that may come up. Mark matched us perfectly with Adam and Alicia made sure that we knew where we had to be and how to connect with Adam. Adam is a phenomenal guide. He understood that this was a big day for my wife, her first SOCKEYE fishing experience. We found our spot in a few minutes and quickly learned to the fine art of "flossing". 60 minutes later we had bagged out, three beautiful SOCKEYE each. Heading home for a large Fish Smoke with friends and family. If you are targeting TROUT or SOCKEYE, ask for Adam. He knows the environment intimately, was absolutely superb when it came to working with my wife and had her casting like a 40 year veteran in literally, no time at all. KING SALMON Fishing With Fishology and Chase We were scheduled to to go Halibut fishing. The weather turned and that was the end of that. Mark and Alicia jumped into high gear and got us booked with Chase for a KING SALMON guided experience. We had so many questions and every one went out of their way to set us up for success. Communication is always top notch with this crew. Highly responsive, quick to tackle anything that may come up. Casey is one of the hardest working guides I have ever met. He pushed us into the best fishing holes and worked the ores to capitalize on the best spots, in the best holes. He constantly rowed, tended lines, swapped out fresh bait, coached and taught us all about the Kasiloff river and their residents, the gorgeous KING SALMON. The KINGS are diminishing at an alarming rate and all the guides work very hard to preserve these fine fish for generations to come. We caught 3 nice KINGS and two HUGE SOCKEYES. Whatever we were not allowed keep, Chase made sure went back to the river with as little handling and as much care as possible. It makes me so happy to know that there are people like Chase out there, providing incredible experiences yet working that hard to preserve these experiences for future generations.
