Good food and good service. Nice location but I wish parking was slightly better. But i will gladly walk for them.

Thanks to the owner who cooks and the great chefs, as well as the other owner who is present everyday to greet and converse with customers! The owners have a great, powerful story about how they started. This diner has a very warm atmosphere and you feel welcomed everytime you step inside. It has a nice nostalgic feel that draws in people of all ages. I've had many of the menu items and I can say that everything was cooked as you expect it to be. Soft, cheesy omelettes with fresh vegetables. Soft scrambled eggs that just have that "home cooked by your grandma when you were a kid" feel. Crispy hash-browns. Sausage is great. Toast is always buttered and crisp. Man. Gonna go eat there tomorrow now that I'm talking about them, lol. Prices are very reasonable for the quality and hospitality received here. They are doing a great job at Gravy's Diner, I recommend literally anyone to try this place at-least once. You won't be disappointed. One of the best breakfast spots in the Waterloo/Cedar Falls area. They're open super early! For those who work in the morning and need a happy start to their days before work. Biscuits and gravy were so good.

You can ask for hashbrowns crispy which I liked. Pancake was disappointing. Menu says fluffy but it was flat and thin. My son said biscuits and gravy were ok. Waffles were thin but my husband enjoyed his. They serve Pepsi products.

I had the Skillet that was on advertised at the table and got to take half of it home for leftovers. Delicious AND a good deal!

My son had the meat lovers skillet and it was a generous portion. My Reuben was delicious but I noticed it was sliced deli meat-like. It came with a side salad or soup. I chose the salad, iceberg lettuce, cheese and tomatoes. I asked for blue cheese, which came in a little capped container labeled BC. It was really yellow and kind of gelatin like. I decided to pass on it as I'm used to which blue cheese and didn't want to risk getting sick. The coffee was a fabulous light roast, not at all bitter. I was able to enjoy it black. The prices seemed a bit high for my sandwich. The bill for 2 lunches, coffee and a soda came to roughly $35. I saw they do charge 3% furnishing a credit card so I just left cash on the table. The food was okay but honestly, we could have eaten at Texas Roadhouse (early menu) for about the same price and I would have had leftovers for the next day. Even though the food was okay, we probably won't be back due to the value of the meal.

I was not ready for the biggest hot cake I ever eaten and it was cook very nice. Hats off to the three cooks who were cranking out the orders. The place was busy but the wait time to sit and get my food was worth the wait. I would come back again to wait in line for the food.. Great place to stop by if you're driving through Cedar Rapids. The place is very nice inside, a little cramp but who cares the food was great.

Tucked into an unassuming strip mall, it was easy to miss from the outside, but inside it had all the charm of a classic hometown diner. Since it was early on a Friday morning, we were seated right away with no wait. Our server was cheerful, attentive, and made us feel right at home. The menu had all the diner staples you would expect, and we decided to kick things off by sharing a cinnamon roll. It came out warm with a generous layer of cream cheese frosting. A solid start to the day. I went with the Corned Beef Hash combo, which came with two eggs, hashbrowns, and the option to substitute toast for a pancake for $1.99. Easy choice. I don't drink coffee, so Diet Pepsi was my morning fuel. Yep, it is another Pepsi establishment. My vegetarian sidekick ordered a veggie omelet without onions, but when the food arrived, hot and fresh, she discovered onions had snuck in. It was no big deal. They were very apologetic and had a corrected version out quickly. We shared my pancake while we waited, which kept everyone happy. All in all, this spot delivered exactly what we needed. Friendly service, cozy atmosphere, and breakfast classics done right. It is a nice little gem if you are passing through or just looking for a relaxed morning bite.
